Yeah it’s probably deceptive. I have 3 of these and every single one is a buggy unplayable mess that couldn’t keep a 6 year olds attention. The one based off the movie was particularly bad because the constant crashes meant I couldn’t even help my six year old through the first level.

What Nintendo executive was smoking crack enough to approve this.

This reminds me to track down mistborn. My local library only has books 3 and 4 of stormlight so maybe I should just suck it up and buy them. He really is fantastic from his stuff that I’ve read. And unlike some modern fantasy authors he can put out books on time.

I forgot about the depths those were tricky. My recommendation would be find a minecart track. If I remember right it leads you pretty close to the temple and then you can climb around.

The Gordon quest is pretty simple. The dungeon layout was relatively confusing but I managed it with 4 hearts still. What’s difficult about it?

Tempting for sure. Don’t have it on switch or have the Castlevania expansion since it hasn’t come to the mobile app yet. Seems perfect.

I think they look a little bit like the Gremlins with the ears.

I highly recommend doing one soon. Doing that unlocks a super useful quest line which gets the shrine scanner, heroes path etc.

I really wish more games have options like Bayonetta 3 did. As we all push for accessibility for everyone I don’t see why content accessibility shouldn’t be included in it.

Wasn’t necessarily my point but I get where you’re coming from. To me sequels are about iterating on what the original did well which for the Splatoon example I think they all do. I do however think in the realm of criticism games should be rated first on its quality as a standalone work and then how it compares to and iterates on the sequel. This mainly being because games more than any other medium it’s easy to jump into a franchise at any point. While the way the sequel improves on the first game should certainly be factored in it’s not the sole quality which was my point to the original commenter.

If totk is a reskin to you what do you think of other sequels. Are Splatoons 2 and 3 5/10 games because it’s basically splatoon 1. Zelda had always followed a formula and botw created a new one while still innovating on its predecessor in almost everyway.

From my experience there are mainly high school students and college students but I’m sure there are plenty of older people as well.

Cant believe how much better the UK store is. I’d love some of their exclusive merch like the posters and pin sets but oh well.

Teaming up on Discord is super easy. I run a small tournament so I see the way it works every day really but Splatoon had a really welcoming community. Super easy to find a pick up team or a more permanent one.

For me it had to be the mini flux construct boss fight. Absolutely brilliantly designed and set a precedent for how these abilities could be used.

I don’t know why everybody thinks chrono trigger has no chance of returning. It is one of the most highly acclaimed jrpgs of all time and to port it would print money for Square. I honestly don’t know why this game hasn’t been ported yet feels like a no brainer.

Feels like they announced a bit too early no? Not out till 2025 at the least. Sounds like it could be another MP4 situation.

To me while a little on the strange side it doesn’t seem like a terrible idea. From gameplay previews it seems like the charges are readily available and each charge gives you lots of parts. It’s in no way perfect but I think it will work.

Afraid this will have to be a pass for me. It’s a shame because the concept is great but I can’t stand this level of scummy micro transactions in a AAA single player game

While I agree with you about CAPTCHA 100% and am actually surprised that it’s not a thing already I can’t agree on eBay stopping it. It’s really not their place to stop as it might harm people who aren’t scalpers wanting to sell items along with the fact that technically scalping isn’t illegal.

That preorder thing will always be a mess but in store would definitely help. That isn’t a region specific thing though is it?

Agreed. Somehow we get the absolute worst preorder bonuses as well. I mean what we have is fine I guess but some other regions have had some incredible bonuses like blankets and puzzles while we got a block of wood and a poster.

I actually agree on you in the case of Mario Strikers. I don’t think it had any less characters than the GameCube or Wii versions did. Now Switch Sports was pretty rough but it’s not necessarily a bad game. I think if it launched as a pack in not as many people would complain about the amount of content. But for a 50$ game having 7 sports is not great. Think about how many came in Wii Sports Resorts for essentially the same price.

True but I personally haven’t found a switch game that looks better than breath of the wild. I realize that improvements could be made graphically but I think writing it off because of it is unfair.

30 fps is fine. I hardly notice provided the game is optimized so 30 fps looks fine. Heck BOTW is a technological marvel as it is. The fact that the team got such a huge open world to run seamlessly with no loading screens in the overworld is a miracle on its own. If you don’t want to enjoy the game because it doesn’t meet your standards then you do you but I for one am excited to jump in.

It doesn’t look and run like a last gen game it looks and runs like a switch game. Switch doesn’t have incredible graphics power but it doesn’t have to. The game looks beautiful anyhow and I can’t wait to get lost in its world.

Cant wait for this game. I didn’t fully appreciate BOTW and kinda rushed towards the main story but this time around I’m gonna take it nice and slow. Ultra hand looks incredibly fun can’t wait.

My suggestion is to get CFW on a 3DS. Got the whole series excluding GC and Wii titles on there.

Yep this sums up my experience. Granted I only played a couple hours but I bounced off campaign hard just because of the repetitiveness. I felt like I was just running dropping guys off to instantly die before getting more. Competitive had a little more to it but it was poor enough for me to flat out tell close friends I play Minecraft with not to get it.

Especially ironic considering similar crowds complained the movie was too woke because Peach wasn’t just a dress wearing trophy to save.

This was easily one of my favorites at PAX East this year. Wasn’t a huge fan of the yoga but but the guitar hero bit was some of the most fun I’ve had with a rhythm game all year. Never played necrodancer but my hype is there.

Keeping an eye out for both of them. Not a huge amiibo person but for that price I can’t refuse. The Metroid one is out of stock for me but hopefully I can still find one somewhere.

Yeah I’d be fine with the Mario properties existing in the same world considering that’s practically what we already got in this first one.

Everybody’s out here talking about the Nintendo Cinematic Universe but to me that sounds like a terrible idea. If people complained about Mario having a paper thin plot then I have some bad news about the Super Smash Bros games which everyone wants to be like the avengers. Not everything has to be a cinematic universe let these properties stand on their own.

Yeah while I didn’t love either Sonic movie the second was better. I think Zelda is dangerous territory for adaptation. While some people may want it to lean into darker fantasy I feel like it would make it generic kinda like what happened to The Rings of Power. Zelda needs that cartoonish feel to be good.

I’m with you on this. I also was not a huge fan of the Sonic movies but Sonic has always taken its plots super seriously so that wasn’t a huge surprise. The Mario Movie was straightforward charming with good performances and comedy that lands a decent amount of the time. Illumination killed it with the animation as well but really that’s usually the only thing that I can regularly expect to be good in one of their films. Overall after having seen it twice I was not disappointed. The difference in critical vs audience opinion is really interesting because the scores are much lower than the reviews read.

Noooo is that happening with this movie too. Rise of Gru was one thing but I actually plan on seeing this one.

I had a blast at the PAX street pass event. Probably the last time I’ll ever see that many people just hanging out playing the ds again. Thanks so much for running it.

I’m already scheduled to see this back to back Friday and Saturday so I sure hope it’ll be good. Seeing it once with family and the next day with a group of friends.

Of course Nintendo wouldn’t make this. They don’t own the rights to Sonic the Hedgehog.

I mean it makes sense this type of press announcement is a huge expenditure for companies and other shows such as PAX still thrive for indies to get their games out. But it still will be missed because old E3 shows are the most unintentionally hilarious things ever. RIP.

Agreed. I’ve given up playing on switch after apparently 30 hours of trying and just play on my phone with an Xbox controller connected. It’s a shame because I really want it to work the switch would be perfect for Minecraft. But after I was signed out of my Microsoft account and unable to sign back in I gave up.
