It’s 10 gigs what’s the logic. I get AAA releases with big file sizes but a game this small? No real reason.

I’m playing through three houses again on switch 2 and that game desperately needs it. Same with the Xenoblade games they just look so blurry in handheld.

Definitely make the run through sinners road for the alt path then. Phantom is one of my favorite bosses anyways so have fun.

Super difficult but it has more variety than doing the same run over and over. Plus it ended up having one of my favorite fights in the game so it was a win.

The last judge run back is the only time I actually got frustrated with the game. I ended up skipping it through the secret route lol.

This bench made me laugh out loud it’s so on brand for the game. Hunters March isn’t even that bad if you have the dash so I fortunately did have health still. Now I was dumb and sat down a second time which honestly made it funnier.

Accessibility doesn’t necessarily mean making something easier. It means making it available so that everyone regardless of disabilities or other circumstances can play the game. Not necessarily making it easier. If it’s easier you’re not even playing the same game the developers wanted to be made so why bother. I personally usually drop souls esque games but I love metroidvanias so I’m sticking through this. It’s punishing and hard so there’s some bosses that got on my nerves but overall I’m really enjoying the experience. If you aren’t then maybe this genre or this game just isn’t for you and that’s fine. I’ve dropped Elden Ring three times and I don’t necessarily thing difficulty options would make it any better.

For sure I definitely didn’t get a handle on the controls and combat in my short demo so it could definitely improve.

Played at pax east this year was really neat. It did control a little weird but I could see it being a real gem.

I kinda loved the circle short for the absurdity and I’m sure this will be more of the same. Will be my next get after Bananza is finished.

All of the gear was also from the Splatoon 2 final fest. I always used the eye of justice so might have to get back into Splatoon 3.

All the Xenoblade games need switch 2 patches. Especially for handheld I decided to try to pick Xenoblade 3 back up for a good rpg to play on S2 but it looks rough especially in handheld.

Pokemon legends Z is a full switch 2 upgrade while this is just a performance patch I guess. Won’t legends Z hit up to 120fps? Not justifying it I think it should be free but that’s probably the internal justification.

Midnight launch and hopefully Mario kart all night.

Probably one of my favorite games ever mostly because of the campaign. I replay it around once a year on a sick/rainy day. Favorite final boss in gaming and so many standout levels.

That’d only be true if people weren’t paying for it. Now people aren’t necessarily paying the insane upscale price especially for the raw card but the most recent sold tcgplayer listing is $800 which is still insane for a modern card.

Coincidentally all the stuff I’ve been playing is on steam and even then I’ve had a busy couple months. The only game I really had going on switch before that was Xenoblade 3 which I have fingers crossed for a switch 2 upgrade on.

The mouse function will be on pc but the switch slightly alters the sequence for two mouses.

@HammerGalladeBro the 3ds game unfortunately did not have that future which is a shame. The original was one of my favorite 3ds games as a kid.

I realllly want one of these but I’d prefer a US one so I don’t have to deal with region lock stuff. My 2DS is getting on in years and I really need something bigger and this looks perfect.

This is probably skewed towards the audience of the BAFTA game awards. Ask any random guy off the street chances are they won’t know who Lara Croft is let alone Agent 42. Mario Sonic Pac-Man Pikachu and their ilk are 100% the most recognizable characters due to how well marketed they are. Like you aren’t going to casually see someone in Hitman or Tomb Raider merch but Mario merch is a daily occurrence.

I was in a GameStop yesterday and there was a sign advertising retro system trade ins. Some of the systems listed were the WiiU and PS3.

FF7 was a franchise on its own by the time the remake came along and had much more lore to work on for a fully expanded remake like it got. FF6 does not have that and does not need it. It is one of the closest things to a perfect game that I know. HD 2D would be great but it doesn’t need it. A remake like FF7 would not work.

I watched The Hunt for Red October a couple nights ago and all I could think was that I should drop in for a round on this game. I admittedly didn’t play much but I enjoyed it and am sad to see it go.

Hm on one hand I see the argument I mean that’s the direction that movies and tv shows went but they are different mediums by far. A season of tv takes what 8 hours tops to watch. A game can take up to 60 hours. If you have limited free time it legitimately makes more sense to just buy what you want compared to other mediums.

I have traded in a game only once. I was slightly short on funds tears of the kingdom launch day so I traded in my copy of Terraria for switch. I own it on steam anyhow so it was an easy choice.

I played this at PAX East and really enjoyed it but it slipped off my radar. I should give it a go.

I’d take a switch port any day. I still remember being shocked as a kid with the boss fight thing at the end. As a Final Fantasy fan I was really happy with that sequence.

Try Mario Sports Mix for the Wii. Played a bit this weekend for the first time in around 3 years and it has a pretty decent if relatively simplistic Hockey game. Base mechanics are there with I believe 9 distinct arenas and 20 something characters.

I got the 80$ model although it didn’t come preloaded. Honestly the 2ds was a steal at that point and I hope someday nintendo has a dedicated handheld again. I’ve had mine for years and I am looking for an upgrade soon as the circle pad rubber fell off but it still works alright. Truly a great console.

This is tempting. I own KOTOR on mobile but I haven’t touched any of the others. May have to get this.

Did I miss something. I hang around these comments sections quite a bit but I have no idea what’s going on.

I would assume if any company is buying them it’d be Nintendo. Xbox and platinum have had a rocky relationship since Scalebound was cancelled.

Getting closer I can manage top 25 regularly often into the teens.

I’m surprised to see the turnaround here in opinion of this game. I for one loved it but I wonder if a bit of it is fatigue. I kinda ignored most of botw so totk was mostly fresh. I poured 75 hours into it the first couple weeks and loved it. I’ll probably go back at some point but totk is definitely in my top 5 games of all time.

I liked the fire dungeon actually 😢. In all honesty it was for all the wrong reasons. The solutions the game wanted you to take were so stupid but making your own way was fun.

That is a good question. My other would be whether or not maps like Silence which are only at the end of a Grand Prix would be put into a normal rotation. That and maybe how often mini prix will be in because I really liked it for a more casual feel and then it disappeared.

I personally think map variety may be the games main issue for me. I’m loving it and it’s an easy 9 but for some reason only the same few tracks are rotating. The original game has more so I honestly can’t figure out why they aren’t all rotating for more variety.

I’m adoring this game and some of these tips are really helpful. Also as a message to the people saying this game is a monkeys paw situation frankly I think something like this will make a new fzero commercially viable for Nintendo. I for one never played fzero before this but I’d buy a new entry for sure since I’ve been having a blast with 99.

I was sick yesterday which was perfectly timed with the fzero 99 announcement. I’d never played fzero before but I gave it a try and now I can’t stop. my only complaint is the maps don’t seem to rotate but still really fun game.

From what I can tell it’s because if you had to pay to use Unity most devs would move to unreal or some similar engine.

We mostly are. We now pretty much are in an era of mediocre to good tie ins. Good thing we have Outright Games to keep the torch of crappy tie ins alive.
