Greetings, good people. Congratulations, we almost made it through the winter. (Looks at the piles of snow higher than my window outside) Almost...
Now onto the games, I'm sure many of you enjoy new Resident Evil while I wait for my physical copy. But even if I got it yesterday, I would still be playing WitchSpring R until I finish it. I mean, I heard it's good, but words won't do it justice. The game introduces you to the most charming, innocent, best daughter in the whole world... and then makes her life miserable very step of the way. Seriously, if in the end Pieberry won't find happiness, I swear I'll <redacted>. Ok, deep breaths...
And I also got true ending in MIO: Memories in Orbit. Very engaging, charming and beautiful metroidvania. Yeah, it's no Silksong. But what is? What's more surprising, that according to the achievements, only 3% of the players finished the game and 2% got the second ending. What is wrong with you people?!
Alright, that's all for today. Love each other and have a great weekend.
I absolutely adored Village (on PS5). Reviewer said it took inspiration from RE4, but I disagree, 8 felt like "Greatest Hits" compilation. Castle is RE4, manor is RE7, swamp is RE5, factory is RE2. The only downside for me was fort and Chris segment, the felt more like Call of Duty, where you just walk in straight line and shoot hundreds of Village People ™. Still a great game and I wholeheartedly recommend it on any platform.
This weekend is extremely cold here, so instead of usual going out to ice skating, ping-pong or such, I'm staying indoors, cleaning the house and playing games. And boy, I really stretched myself thin, despite usually avoiding doing so. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers on PS5, Trails beyond the Horizon and MIO on Steam Deck, Octopath Traveler and Super Mario Galaxy on Switch. I really should commit and finish something this weekend, and it will probably be MIO, very beautiful metroidvania with emphasis on platforming, highly recommend.
That's all for now, love each other and have a great weekend.
Honestly, I don't give a fork about what fans, haters, journalists or youtubers think. I found the game bad. Not average, not just good enough, simply bad.
I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy on Switch 2 right now, and I'm gonna confess that the trailer for SMG Movie makes me sad. Rosalina is kind and gentle mama, and they are making Captain Marvel out of her in the movie.
@Kiz3000 I mean it only works if you live on Nintendo diet. Yakuza 0 is ten years old already, I'd wager if you wanted to play it, high chance you already did. Two sole exclusives are paid tutorial and a game that's a killer only in a sense it's so bad it kills me.
@JohnnyMind have you played Bo: Path of Teal Lotus? Very similar control scheme with Lost Crown, but has an option to switch around d-pad and analog stick.
I 100%'ed Silksong with joycons and felt extremely comfortable. What irks me much more is when 2D games force analog controls, looking at you PoP Lost Crown and Nine Sols.
The problem with modern FF for me is not real time combat and absence of turn based. It's that the writing is so bad it's insufferable even with the best rpg combat in the world.
Unlike great many of you, I'm still into holiday shopping and preparations. You see, here in Russia we have the same thing: decorated tree, presents, sparkling wine, drunk uncle under the table, but it all happens on New Year's night. So... yeah, besides preparing for that and ice skating, I didn't had lots of gaming time. I finished platinum in Diablo IV (had to kill my friend five times for that), some levels in Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and that was pretty much it.
That's all for now, stay safe, love each other and have a nice weekend.
Like many of you, I bought and tried Metroid Prime 4. I played for about five hours and downloaded Prime remaster. Seriously, classical "You and the guy she tells you not to worry about" situation. Where has all the talent gone?
Other than that, I'm having a blast with Wuchang Fallen Feathers. This game has talent in spades. Seriously, I'm amazed how a debut game from a new developer nailed the soulslike combat, it feels better than the actual Souls games. Very excited to see future projects from these guys.
That's all for now, love each other and have a great weekend.
This week I identify as a game boy. No, really, it only took eight years for Nintendo to add control mapping to game boy games on Switch so they are finally playable for me. So I've completed two Mario Land games. And while the first one is simple little game only good as a piece of history, the second one is actually great! Level design is superb and the variety of stages, enemies and bosses is off the charts. I've really enjoyed that game more than any so-called "new" Mario Bros.
I also started Metroid Prime... Hunters. No, really, I already bought Prime 4, but decided to finish the only Metroid game I didn't finish before starting it. I tried it on DS when it came out and found it awful. Now thanks to melonprime it's playable at least. Doubt I'll get much enjoyment out of it, but I need to close gestalt.
Software lineup is really weak, and I absolutely hated MK World despite loving the series, but the actual Switch 2 is pure joy to play. Diving into first Switch backlog and enjoying every minute.
Prime 4 is one of the games I initially bought original Switch 4. But after all the trailers and reviews I went and ordered Japanese copy of Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 for 50$. Maybe I'll get Prime 4 someday when it'll cost 30$ and my backlog will be smaller. Maybe I won't.

Re: Resident Evil Requiem 'Creator's Voice' Video Dives Into The Switch 2 Release
Playing horror and not wanting to be scared is like buying a rhythm game and playing on mute, or skipping all dialogues in visual novel.

Re: Fans Are Asking Nintendo To Refund Xenoblade Chronicles X's Switch 2 Upgrade
Blind loyalty to corporation is amusing and scary at the same time.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Mario Tennis Fever
I will get it... Someday. I'm not bothered about lack of single player content in multiplayer sports game, but 70$ is just too much.
Re: Review: Carmageddon: Rogue Shift (Switch 2) - A Destructive, Roguelite Wreck Fest That Runs Out Of Road
Zombies instead of pedestrians? That's not Carmageddon, at all.
Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park
It's clear that the target audience is a big happy family from commercials, not the people who frequent gaming websites.
Re: Hands On: Does Hollow Knight's Free Upgrade Make A Difference On Switch 2?
Third? Haha! Six playthroughs already across two systems, steel soul included.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct February Partner Predictions - What Do You Want To See?
Just something new and not a port of a game that is already available on other systems. Too much?
Re: Round Up: The Final Previews Are In For Mario Tennis Fever
I'll get once it gets cheaper and if there still be people online to play with.
Re: Preview: Pragmata Might Wind Up Being The Biggest Surprise Of 2026
No question if I'm getting it. The only question is whether to get it on PC, Switch 2 or PS5.

No, I don't have little kids.

I thought it sucked balls, and yet I'm one of 50 people who enjoyed Resident Evil on GBC.

@LastFootnote I have lots of demand for good metroidvania cause I already 100%'d Silksong.

Already have this game due to gamepass, look forward to playing tomorrow.

The OST isn't anything special, but certainly better than the writing. God it was horrible.

The game is a disaster. Myles is not the biggest problem, but problem nevertheless.

@HenrikW GBA and Gamecube for me. Though I played many of those later down the line, the games themselves are superb.

Oh, and "Officer I swear she said she was 18" > MK World.
