People voting for Switch and Switch 2 are either very young or have a memory of goldfish.

@JohnnyMind have you played Bo: Path of Teal Lotus? Very similar control scheme with Lost Crown, but has an option to switch around d-pad and analog stick.

I 100%'ed Silksong with joycons and felt extremely comfortable. What irks me much more is when 2D games force analog controls, looking at you PoP Lost Crown and Nine Sols.

The problem with modern FF for me is not real time combat and absence of turn based. It's that the writing is so bad it's insufferable even with the best rpg combat in the world.

Unlike great many of you, I'm still into holiday shopping and preparations. You see, here in Russia we have the same thing: decorated tree, presents, sparkling wine, drunk uncle under the table, but it all happens on New Year's night. So... yeah, besides preparing for that and ice skating, I didn't had lots of gaming time. I finished platinum in Diablo IV (had to kill my friend five times for that), some levels in Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and that was pretty much it.

Like many of you, I bought and tried Metroid Prime 4. I played for about five hours and downloaded Prime remaster. Seriously, classical "You and the guy she tells you not to worry about" situation. Where has all the talent gone?

Other than that, I'm having a blast with Wuchang Fallen Feathers. This game has talent in spades. Seriously, I'm amazed how a debut game from a new developer nailed the soulslike combat, it feels better than the actual Souls games. Very excited to see future projects from these guys.

Bananza is a good game, but the DLC is a bad joke.

Since Expedition 33 isn't on Switch, Silksong is the only right answer. It's not only a game of the year, it's a game of the decade.

This week I identify as a game boy. No, really, it only took eight years for Nintendo to add control mapping to game boy games on Switch so they are finally playable for me. So I've completed two Mario Land games. And while the first one is simple little game only good as a piece of history, the second one is actually great! Level design is superb and the variety of stages, enemies and bosses is off the charts. I've really enjoyed that game more than any so-called "new" Mario Bros.

I also started Metroid Prime... Hunters. No, really, I already bought Prime 4, but decided to finish the only Metroid game I didn't finish before starting it. I tried it on DS when it came out and found it awful. Now thanks to melonprime it's playable at least. Doubt I'll get much enjoyment out of it, but I need to close gestalt.

Software lineup is really weak, and I absolutely hated MK World despite loving the series, but the actual Switch 2 is pure joy to play. Diving into first Switch backlog and enjoying every minute.

I absolutely loved Clair Obscur, it's my second GOTY after Silksong.

Prime 4 is one of the games I initially bought original Switch 4. But after all the trailers and reviews I went and ordered Japanese copy of Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 for 50$. Maybe I'll get Prime 4 someday when it'll cost 30$ and my backlog will be smaller. Maybe I won't.

More than a decade to make a game and we get Sergeant Duke.

I enjoy souls games, but please, the name of the developer isn't enough to sell me the game in the genre I don't like.

I don't actually know if it works, my Switch dock is basically a charger, I play only in handheld mode.

So expect even more escort missions and chatting than was in the preview. Between that and motorcycle... Oh man, I unironically bought first Switch for Prime 4, and now I'm not sure if I want to ever buy it.

I knew that Nintendo defence force is passionate, but defending Jar Jar Binks is really too much.

I like both action games and Zelda games, but musou is something I can't stand regardless the wrap it's wearing. I bought first Hyrule Warriors, but solely because of the scarf as a birthday present for my friend. AoI doesn't give me the same reason.

Sorry, but everything about bike and empty open areas looks awful in Metroid. I still have hope for Prime 4, but every trailer so far looked kinda sad.

I'm still plowing through Ghost of Yogurt, and it's much longer than I anticipated. Either I'm extremely slow, or howlongtobeat lied to me, I'm only in the third region and the timer already shows almost 40 hours. In the beginning I really enjoyed the gameplay loop, but now I just want to be done with it and return to Ninja Gaiden 4.

Other than that, I'm having a wonderful time with Once Upon a Katamari, it's a delightful little game. It might be the best entry in the series, it has everything that I love about Katamari: songs, humour, variety - abundance of all. Play it if you ever liked Katamari.

While I'm certainly not a pokemon fan and discovered the series pretty late, I enjoyed ZA way more than TotK. Latest Zelda game feels just too diluted to me.

It's just crazy that while developers have more resources and manpower than ever, new games take a decade to release.

The first part of the headline definitely gave me false hope.

The consensus is better than I expected. Pretty much everyone enjoyed new battle system and bashed shameless penny-pitching.

After being disappointed by Yumia, which is not a bad game, but Atelier in a name only, this game has everything what I love about the series. Playing it on Steam Deck and having a wonderful time.

I love Mario Kart, but absolutely despise World. I'd choose Garfield Kart or Bloodborne Kart over World.
