None of these game key card/code in a box releases are for me. Unless deeply discounted at $20 or less then mabey.

So far the only games I'll be picking up day one for Switch 2 is Mario Kart World & Cyberpunk 2077

All of my Switch/Lite/OLED models are in immaculate shape with original packaging. 5 of them being limited edition systems (2 ACNH OG's, TOTK OLED, Splatoon 3 OLED, Pokémon Sword & Shield lite) i could trade in my Turquoise, Yellow, & Grey lite systems since i don't use them at all. But $100 isn't enough.

So I'll wait and see how many of my Switch games run well through backward compatibility on Switch 2. Besides, with this game key card thing looking like it's going to be the standard for most games. I need to keep precious storage space cleared for Switch 2 exclusives.

1080p 60fps in handheld mode is great for Switch 2, and that's the platform I'd prefer to play this on. Unfortunately, since the physical is a game key card version, I'll be picking up a copy for PS5 instead. PS Portal for the win!

I was really looking forward to the RE games coming to Switch 2 with native ports (no cloud nonsense), but unfortunately, I'm sure the physical releases will be game key cards 😕. If so, I'll stick with Steam versions on my Steam Deck OLED for my portable fix and PS5 Pro for TV play. I'd happily like to be proven wrong, Capcom.

How disappointing. I was looking forward to double dipping with the Switch 2 version to show support to the devs. I'll stick with my physical copy for PS5. At this rate, I'll be saving money by skipping this code in a box & game key card crap devs are going for.

I almost didn't get one this morning. Since Gamestop said they were going to open pre-orders at 10 am my time, they started at 9 am instead, lucky for me, I was checking the website, and it kept crashing but I was persistent and stuck with it for about 30 to 45 minutes. I ended up getting a Switch 2 bundle with Mario Kart World!

My sister was able to secure one last night from Wal-Mart. She wanted the bundle, but I told her to take what she could get.

My birthday is June 2nd, so this is my nice little late b-day gift!

My copy is still sitting on the shelf unopened (PS5). I'll get to it after I finish the Ryza trilogy. A good way to get me to double dip is by releasing a Switch 2 version complete with season pass on cart!

My two LG C1 OLED TV's (77", 48") will do just fine for this Gen and the next. That includes PS6 and the next Xbox. I can't wait to see how the Switch 2 handheld screen looks in person.

I'm not an fps snob or anything, and I never have been. But going from 30fps to 40fps is noticeable. Same with going from 60fps to 120fps. I can still play games at 30fps just fine, but I appreciate the higher frames when available with a decent image quality.

But yeah, I'm really looking forward to playing Mario Kart World & Metroid Prime 4 at 120fps docked and in handheld mode.

It's a decent Animal Crossing game, even though I prefer New Leaf.

I fell off from it after a year or so when I sold my OG Switch to a friend and forgot to transfer my save to one of my other systems first 😑. Thanks for no cloud save, Nintendo.

The ACNH Switch system was so nice, I bought 3 of them.

Since Doom Eternal released the same day 5 years ago and Doom The Dark Ages is around the corner. I'd assume the next animal crossing can't be too far away, right?

And this is exactly why I'm waiting until I get a Switch 2 before I play this game. Same with Metroid Prime 4 and any other late big releases for Switch 1.

Over the past 8 years between Switch, Lite, & the OLED, I've owned 12 Switch systems and sold 4. I'll definitely be keeping my Zelda & Splatoon OLED, both ACNH systems & Pokémon Sword & Shield lite.

I'm curious to see the comparison in screen quality between the OLED and Switch 2 in person.

You had my attention with gyro aiming support!

Added to my Steam wishlist. I'll wait and see if a physical options pops up.
Or I'll play it on Steam Deck OLED instead.

Am I missing something? I've had the physical release from Limited run on my shelf for over a month by now...

I'm really excited to see the Switch 2 reveal and launch, but if the launch system doesn't have an OLED display, I'll probably wait for a mid gen refresh before I pick one up.

With my current Switch backlog, Steam Deck OLED, and PS Portal, I'm set at the moment as far as handheld gaming goes.

Either way I'm looking forward to the launch lineup, new Joy Con, Pro controller, ect.

But I sold 4 systems to friends and family over the years. So now I'm down to 8 Switches. 2 ACNL Og's, Zelda OLED, Splatoon OLED, yellow, gray, turquoise, & Pokémon lite systems.

I just want to see Switch pass PS2 as the best selling console of all time!

But I've already done my part with 12 purchases of Switch systems between the OG, Lite, & OLED models.

After getting the Platinum for Silent Hill 2 yesterday, Absolutely amazing remake, great job Bloober Team! I'm debating on what to start playing next to keep spooky season going with horror games.

It's a choice between Alone in the Dark or Still wakes the Deep.

Other then that I'm slowly progressing through Dying Light (Steam Deck OLED) co-op with a friend when we both have the time to do so.

Even with the downgrades, I'd buy this day 1 for Switch to show support if a physical version is available. Digital only means I'll stick to the Steam version on my Steam Deck OLED.

Oh well, not all is lost because I'm sure Limited Run will come through!

A friend of mine and I played it recently, and it's still so much fun to play all these years later.

I always look forward to a new Mario Party game! I'll definitely be adding this to my collection!

Idk about day 1, though, with October being packed with other games higher up on my list. Metaphor, Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition, & Silent Hill 2 come to mind.

@SillyG You are correct. RDR on cartridge is fine. I was thinking about GTA Trilogy & L.A. Noir.

Bioshock & Borderlands Collection also has the same thing with mandatory downloads of most of the games, even with the cartridge. But that's more of a 2K problem.

@Yousef- GTA IV is so underrated! My second favorite GTA after San Andreas. I recently played through it on Steam Deck OLED, and it runs pretty well.

It's nice to be able to play the 360 version on Series X thru backwards compatibility.

But I would love to have GTA IV Complete Edition on a cartridge for my Switch.

Whats with Rockstar and the way they treat Nintendo fans? Switch still doesn't have GTA V. Even though I would prefer to have GTA IV.

Physical copies of GTA Definitive Edition & Red Dead Redemption for Switch seem to never go on sale even though most of the games aren't even on the cartridge.

I'm glad I have a Steam Deck OLED to play most of the Rockstar games I enjoy!

I understand why RDR2 isn't available for Switch. But the older stuff should have been on Switch a long time ago. That's easy money sitting there, Rockstar.

7/10 isn't bad at all. Since it's a mobile game, I expected it to run at 60 fps, so an unstable frame rate is disappointing.

A friend of mine really wants to play it with me, so if he buys it for me, that's the only way I'll be playing it soon. Other than that, I'm in no rush to get it.

I'm sure my Steam Deck OLED would have no problem running this at 90 fps. I'll wait and see if Limited Run has a physical release or if it comes to PS5 or Steam.

Such a gorgeous handheld, but I'll have to pass. If I did buy it, I'd just keep it in the box unused like my Pokémon Sword & Shield Edition Switch Lite system.

I will save my money for PS5 Pro and the next Gen Nintendo console.

@Vriess That's not the problem at all. My Switch consoles have 1TB micro sd cards in each of them. I have five 1TB micro sd cards for my Steam Deck OLED. I just prefer physical over digital...

It's nice to see Nintendo keeping file sizes down for these games, especially for digital buyers.

I always go for physical if the option is available. So I'll be picking up a copy on cartridge day 1.

I adored this Gem on PS5. Give me a physical release, and it will be a day 1 purchase.

If not, I always have my Steam Deck OLED & PS5 versions to go back to.

It's so beautiful! Why does it have to be a Switch lite though. I understand why since TOTK Switch OLED was released last year, which I own, but still.

I have 4 Switch lites that I don't even use anymore since the OLED released. I definitely don't need this but I want it. This late in the Switches life and I'm thinking about buying another Switch. Only Nintendo can do this to me.

I loved Power Rangers in the 90's as a kid. This will go perfectly in my collection next to Shredders Revenge & Cowabunga Collection. Keep them beat em ups coming!

Looks great! I'll stick with my vanilla copy on Switch for now. After a price drop, pick up a copy for PS5 & Switch. Then the Steam version later on to play on Steam Deck oled.

With Turok 1 & 2 on cart in my Switch collection, I'll have to get this. It's crazy that I never even knew a Turok 3 existed all these years.

I'll take Gears of War collection 1-3, Halo Collection 1-3, & Doom The Dark Ages on cartridges at 1080p 60fps with gyro in handheld mode on the next gen Nintendo system please.

It's been years since I've heard any information about this remake. I'm glad to know it's coming to Switch.

I'll take a physical copy for PS5 & Switch. And after a discount, a copy for my Steam Deck OLED as well!

I did my part and bought the RE triple pack back when it was released. Mostly to have RE4 on cartridge in which the game never received a patch to add gyro anyways, so I didn't play it much.

I had fun playing Mercenaries on RE6 for Switch, especially using split Joy Cons with gyro. But ever since Steam Deck OLED has entered my life, I much prefer to play RE6 on it instead.

800p 90fps in handheld mode/1080p 120fps docked with better gyro controls!

If Capcom gives Switch 2 proper physical releases of RE5/6/7/8, I'll buy those Day 1.

30fps is a disappointment, but visually, it looks amazing! Since I have the GameCube version, I'm in no rush to buy this day 1. But with my birthday coming up in a few weeks, I'll have it gifted to me instead.

I enjoyed the Anime. Visual novels are perfect for portable play. Digital only is disappointing. After a price drop, I'll get it on Steam and play on my Deck oled instead.

This weekend, I'll be mostly playing Stellar Blade.

I'm also currently playing Batman Arkham Origins on Steam Deck OLED after finishing Arkham Asylum & Arkham City recently.

Nothing on XSX or Switch at the moment.

Great Series! I picked up a copy of the double pack (Cat Quest 1 + 2) a few years ago for Switch and I really enjoyed it!

Give me a physical option and it's a day 1 purchase. If not, I'll download it for my Steam Deck OLED instead.

@Rpg-lover Have you tried Chiaki 4 Deck? I use it to remote play my PS5 to my Deck oled and it works great if you have decent wifi. It even supports HDR now. I think it's a better way to remote play than the Playstation Portal.

@Rpg-lover Thanks again for the Steam Deck info. I fell in love with the original Deck so much that when the oled came out, I sold my Deck and immediately upgraded and put a 2TB SSD in it.

I'm amazed by what this handheld can do. I play it daily. It's easily my favorite electronics purchase since the Switch back in 2017.

Ever since I bought the Steam Deck oled, PS5, Series X, & Switch haven't been played as much...

I'm currently playing RDR2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 6 & Max Payne 3 all on the Deck oled. Steam Deck is my first PC/handheld so PC gaming is new to me.

Being able to adjust resolution, frame rate, and add gyro to any and every game makes this system a dream come true to me!

@yohn777 I noticed that on the Digital Foundry video, which is surprising because Red Dead runs at 4k on Series X thru back compat.

I'll definitely pick up a copy for Playstation after a price drop. I'm fine with the 360 and Switch versions until then.

Hopefully, Rockstar will bring Red Dead to Steam Deck as well.

@SearchingS Unfortunately, the Playstation version doesn't give you options to adjust the gyro sensitivity (Thanks Capcom) but it's better than nothing.

Steam Deck gives you complete control at a system level. So it's much better!

I agree, the shooting range was terrible for me on the Xbox version.

@SearchingS What platform did you play RE4 Remake on? I have the Platinum for the PS4, PS5, & Steam versions thru Steam deck. Same with the Series X version.

On Playstation and Steam, you can use gyro, which is an absolute game changer! Even playing on Steam Deck at 30fps the aiming is so much easier (with gyro) vs the Series X version at 60fps.
