I have around 300 Switch games with 255 of them being physical. I doubt I'll reach anywhere near 2000 games when it's all said and done. So I shouldn't have to worry about this. And I delete demos of games I purchase afterwards...
Love my horror games! I was thinking about getting a physical copy for PS5. 7/10 isn't bad. Mabey I'll pick up a copy for Switch as well! But these next few months are pack with releases, so I can hold out for a price drop. Hopefully enough physical copies will be available so it doesn't sell out...
@Sam_ATLUS Xenoblade Chronicles 3 does look better in handheld mode, I agree. I haven't played XC2 yet (in backlog) but I heard it looks very blurry and low rez in handheld, so I'll probably stick to docked with that one. I love my Switch OLED and the gorgeous screen has me spoiled, so much so that I don't want to play on any of my Switch lites anymore unfortunately 😕. Same goes for my ACNH Switches, so I prefer to keep them docked on my OLED tv's. I guess I'm just being picky lol.
@Mioaionios It definitely is for me. When I'm sitting at my desk, I have my 48" OLED, so I would just use that. Can't really use tabletop mode comfortably in bed, so I'd play handheld. Plus I have a few portable monitors (15.6") that I barely use, but would be much bigger than the Switch OLED screen. If I didn't have a TV or monitor, I'd probably use it more often...
After so many hours between you two on Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I'm curious. Do you play mostly handheld or docked? Or a mixture of both?
I've always been mostly a handheld player myself, especially with the Switch OLED. But lately I've been playing docked (ACNH Switch) with my non OLED Switch systems on my OLED tv. It's easier for me to play extended sessions in bed with split Joy Cons (for rpg & jrpg only) on my TV, compared to holding the Switch in handheld mode...
I'm fine with my Switch OLED, ACNH Switch, & Switch Lite systems for the next couple of years at least. I've even been playing docked mode more on both my 48" & 77" LG C1 OLED's and games look great! If I want better visuals with 4K, 120fps, VRR, HDR, ect then I'll play my Series X or PS5. The games are what keeps my attention, and Switch has them in spades. That's why I play my Switch more than my PS5 & Series X combined.
I've had my Wii U since 2013 and I didn't even know it had Crunchyroll. I don't like using my Switch systems or any gaming consoles to watch content anyway (YouTube, Hulu, ect) because I'd rather play games on them. But I recently upgraded to a few LG C1 OLED tv's and use the browser on those to watch Crunchyroll now. So much more convenient, and I don't have to use my phone or tablet to watch Crunchyroll all the time anymore 😁
I've been playing mostly on my LG C1 OLED tv, in bed with split Joy Con in each hand and the volume up high to fully enjoy that amazing soundtrack! And yeah it does get old hearing the same lines over and over again after each battle, but other then that I'm enjoying my experience!
Pre-ordered the special edition for PS4 yesterday and I'm glad I did because it's currently sold out at Best Buy. The Switch version is still in stock though. If It turns out to be great, then I'll pick up a copy for Switch as well!
I was late to Xenoblade Chronicles. Didn't play it on Wii. I skipped the 3DS version. Didn't buy Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on release. When Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition was announced for Switch, I finally decided to buy it and was hooked. After that I ended up ordering XC 2 on Amazon because I couldn't find a copy anywhere locally. Didn't make that mistake again, so I pre-ordered a copy of XC3 to have on release and I'm enjoying it more than XC DE so far. Now I just need to order a copy of Torna, because once again I can't seem to find a copy anywhere in my area...
I said I wasn't going to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3 until I finished XC1 and played XC2 first, but it came in the mail yesterday, so I popped it in my Switch OLED to see how it looks and wow it's gorgeous! And that soundtrack is amazing so far! The Switch speakers don't do it justice, so I'll be playing this gem on my LG C1 OLED. I still need to finish Live A Live, which I would have if I didn't start playing Ghostwire Tokyo (PS5) on the same day. So this weekend I'll be playing XC3, Live A Live, and finishing up the last few trophies for the Platinum on Ghostwire Tokyo.
My copy should be here tomorrow. I'm surprised it hasn't shipped yet. Then again, Live A Live shipped on release and it was delivered the same day. Not that it matters to have it on release. It will be sitting on the shelf for a while anyways...
I still need to get 4 of those N64 controllers. They sell out so fast everytime they restock. The grey color is fine, but I wish Nintendo had a variety of controller colors to choose from, like the N64 days. I probably wouldn't even use them anyway, like I don't with the Snes controllers sitting on my shelf. But I'm a controller junkie, so I can't help it 😂
Looks amazing but I didn't expect a 10/10. Even though I won't be playing it on day 1( need to beat XC1 & XC2 first) I'm glad I pre-ordered this masterpiece! It'll be sitting on my shelf waiting until I get to it one of these days. Now I need to order a physical copy of Torna
I never heard of this game, but I'm interested. Reading other comments tells me it's getting a physical release. The lack of gyro controls is a deal breaker for the Switch version though. I might as well buy it for PS5 because it will at least be 60fps. Hopefully the PS5 version will have gyro, but I doubt it...
I'll give it a shot since it's on GamePass. If i like it, I'll buy a physical copy for Switch. From first glance it reminds me of Undertale. Which is another game I still need to play (in backlog)
Started GhostWire Tokyo yesterday (PS5) and it's my new addiction right now! My copy of Live A Live arrived, so I'll be on that as well. When I'm not on PS5 or Switch, I'll probably play some Far Cry 5 or Watch Dogs 2 on Series X with a friend. I still need to finish Final Fantasy 13 (100 hours) on Series X also... happy gaming everyone!
My copy should be here tomorrow! Excited to play it over the weekend. Seemed like an 8 or 9/10 game to me by playing some of the demo. Glad to see it's getting good reviews!
Finally a release date! Day 1 for PS5 & Switch! Shredder's Revenge is awesome, but I'm looking forward to Turtles in Time & Tournament Fighters. Both of those games are my childhood from the SNES days!
So hyped to play this on Friday! I stopped playing the demo after about an hour to wait and play the full game instead. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be sitting on the shelf for a while...
No Gyro aiming? Digital only? Only 2 hours long! It looked kinda interesting but I think I'll pass. Mabey if it comes to Game Pass I'll give it a shot...
I was hoping the DLC would be included on the cart after such a long wait. But I figured it wouldn't all fit on a 32gb cart anyway. The standard edition will be fine for me. It will be nice to have the full Doom collection complete and on cartridges for Switch 😁
All I know is that I was on the fence about this game. The demo changed my mind from mabey to a day 1 pick up. I pre-ordered after playing the demo for probably 30 minutes if that! Come on Friday!
Time sure flies! I remember picking up this gem on day 1 and I couldn't stop playing (100+ hours) I'm a big fan of 2D-HD because of this game! I regret not buying the Collector's Edition when I had the chance. Now bring on Live A Live!
October needs to chill out with all of these releases. I can only buy so much in one month. I'll get this to go with my Genesis mini 1, Playstation classic, NES & SNES mini. But the games come first (Persona 5 Royal, Nier Automata, RE Village Gold Edition, Bayonetta 3, Yomawari 3) so this will have to wait...
Wait, so will Bayonetta 1 be released physically in limited stock? I need a copy for my collection, even though I have Bayonetta 1 & 2 physically for Wii U, I'd prefer to have them all on Switch with Bayonetta 3 releasing soon.
Too many games on October 28th with this, RE Village Gold Edition, and Bayonetta 3. Of course I'll have to get a copy of each game. Halloween is my favorite holiday and October is packed with releases!
Pre-ordered my copy! I still have to finish Xenoblade 1 and start XC2 eventually. So I'll get to it in a year or so... but it will be in the collection waiting for when I finally get to it.
I'm sure 30fps is expected from most if not all 3rd party Switch games. Isn't Crisis Core turned based? I didn't play the original on psp, so I'm excited either way. Switch version for portability, PS5 version for visuals, frame rate, trophies...

Damn! Since i play mostly handheld, I've been wanting to get a second Switch OLED! That Pro controller is nice too! Mabey I'll try to pre-order from Gamestop. This might be my 9th Switch console lol!
After using the Switch OLED daily since day 1, it's hard to go back to my other Switch/Lite systems. Part of me wants to sell them and replace them all with OLED models. Another part of me wants to at least keep my ACNH Switch consoles and just use them docked to my LG C1 OLED tv's. Does anyone else feel this way about the older Switch systems? Or is it just me?

October will be a busy month with this, Persona 5 Royal, & RE Village Gold Edition...

Switch-
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 of course (30 hours in).
I picked up Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection yesterday for $20. So I'll probably start that today.
PS5 & Series X-
Might not get any love this weekend unfortunately. We will see...
