Re: Happy MAR10 Day, Everyone!

Happy Mario Day, everyone! Since I just finished both Super Mario 3D World and Bowser's Fury, I'm having a bit of a hard time what to play today, lol. I was thinking of starting a Mario drawing today, though!

Re: Anniversary: Can You Believe It? The Nintendo 3DS Is Now 10 Years Old

10 years??? It doesn't feel like that long ago since it launched.

Anyway, the 3DS is an awesome handheld and I still play mine from time to time. And yeah, I was one of those guys who bought it at launch too, so I'm lucky to have those NES and GBA games. It may have had a bit of a rocky start, but it managed to have a plethora of awesome games! I had the aqua blue 3DS, then the red and black 3DS XL, and finally, the red New 3DS XL which is what I have now. As often as I play my Switch these days, I ain't getting rid of my 3DS (or any of my Nintendo consoles, for that matter), that's for sure.

Happy 10th anniversary, Nintendo 3DS!

Me and my brother used to play Paper Mario: TTYD. A ton. We always looked forward to what events the next chapter would bring. So that was my favorite Paper Mario memory. Still my favorite Paper Mario game too, with the N64 original not too far behind. I do like Origami King as well - that was a MASSIVE step up over the train wreck known as Sticker Star.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 23rd)

D-Star92

I'll likely head back to Animal Crossing: New Horizons this weekend. Oh, and tomorrow is my birthday! So I'll likely play some Mario games with my family to celebrate. Was thinking of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, or one of the Mario Party games. Maybe some Nintendo Land, as well.

@PBNightmare I was recently thinking of getting OR/AS from the eShop soon. Heard great things about HG/SS, but sadly they're like $100 at least. So OR/AS it is, lol

Re: Hardware Classics: The Super Famicom Is 30 Today

D-Star92

Probably my favorite console of all time, but the Switch is right up there too. I have a ton of nostalgia for the SNES and it has some of the best games ever made. But like a lot of people, I SO prefer the Super Famicom design. The NA design is pretty bland in comparison, honestly.

Can't believe it's been 30 years since it came out in Japan. I feel old...lol

Re: The Wii U First Launched Eight Years Ago Today

D-Star92

I still have my Wii U hooked up. Haven't been playing it that much though, since I have a Switch. I'm still keeping mine since I have a ton of downloadable games on it, including VC games. It's basically a retro game machine at this point, lol. I sometimes play Xenoblade Chronicles X on it, too. Some Wii U games still remain on my backlog too, like DKC: Tropical Freeze and Bayonetta. (My copy of Bayonetta 2 came with the first one too, which is cool.)

I have the deluxe set that came with Nintendo Land, I got that as a Christmas present. Super Mario 3D World is still one of my favorite Mario games, that was a great time when first playing it! I also remember getting Mario Kart 8 in the mail the day before its release date - that felt really, really good.
