Definitely giving this a shot. Sega should definitely give this kind of treatment to more of their retro IPs that aren't Sonic.

I never thought I would live to see the bear and bird be playable in Smash. This literally made my day.

Must-haves for my Switch? Come on Nintendo Life, I don't even like Pokemon that much.

All I'm predicting from this upcoming Direct is more info for already-announced games like Link's Awakening, as well as the next DLC fighter for Smash Ultimate. Other than that, I'm not expecting too much. Though I would be a very happy man if they announced SNES games for Switch Online (more retro Nintendo platforms would be even better), Mario Kart 9, the next F-Zero (though I admit, that's a very slim chance), DLC kingdoms for Super Mario Odyssey, or the next Donkey Kong Country. Not expecting those though, just my wishful thinking.

Not really expecting anything besides more info on already-announced games. Just gonna enjoy the ride myself.

Judging by the datamines, I bet that Erdrick will be the next DLC fighter. Like a lot of you, I would love to have Banjo and Kazooie playable, but I'm not getting my hopes up for that for obvious reasons. I also want to see Crash Bandicoot playable, which would be more feasible because after the PS1 days, Crash games were coming out on all platforms.

Those are just pipe dreams of mine, though, so I'm not expecting much. We'll see who makes the cut at E3.

Good to see that it's selling well. I haven't gotten the Torna expansion yet, but I love the base game. I'm pumped for what's next in the Xenoblade series!

Very good lineup overall, but I'm disappointed that Sonic 3 & Knuckles isn't on here. Granted, I have it on the Wii Virtual Console, but come ON Sega... more people deserve to play that masterpiece! I'll pick it up at some point though, since there's some Genesis games I want to try out, like Monster World IV (I never got it on the Wii VC).

Some more Team Sonic Racing. I just beat the adventure mode and I'm gonna head into online next. I played Super Mario Odyssey (finally got some more moons!) and Yoshi's Crafted World last night so I'll play those this weekend too.

My favorite Mario Kart game overall. With that said though, I'm ready for a new console installment!

I'll be playing Team Sonic Racing. I just finished chapter 4 in the Team Adventure mode. Once I get confident enough I'll jump into online multiplayer. Maybe I'll play some more Xenoblade Chronicles (1, X, or 2) as well. I need to finish Cuphead too!

I'll likely play Splatoon 2 for the splatfest.

Looking forward to this one. TSR's shaping up to be a solid kart racer to me! Though I'll get it on Steam, because...

A) I want 60 FPS
B) I don't have a PS4 or an Xbox One
C) Switch's player base online might not be too big, because Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a thing

Yeah, I bet there are going to be more game styles post-launch. SMB2 is very different from most Mario platformers so that would be a logical choice. Maybe there could be styles based on the other 3D games like 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy.

I still have my copy of Super Monkey Ball 2 from all those years ago. (I never had the first one.) Loved playing it as a kid, both the main game and the minigames. I remember me and my dad playing the heck out of billiards, as well. Oh yeah and Monkey Target was awesome too!

I have Thunder Force IV on my Switch. One of the best shmups I've played and the soundtrack is rockin'

I think it has to do with how Sega games weren't that popular in Japan to begin with (particularly the Mark III [Master System] and Mega Drive - Saturn was quite big in Japan). Honestly, they should keep making the Sega Ages releases, especially for arcade, Saturn, and Dreamcast games. I'm already looking forward to Virtua Racing and I wanna get Phantasy Star, as well. Would love Daytona USA to get the Sega Ages treatment too...make it happen, Sega!!!

Time travel is cool and all, but if Back to the Future taught me anything, it is really risky. I've always dreamed of teleporting wherever I wanted, so Team Teleportation it is!

Hopefully it comes out on Steam soon, I want 60 fps as well. I still have the original PS1 copy and it works great, I just replayed and beat the Adventure Mode recently. I don't have Crash Nitro Kart anymore, though.

By the way, did you guys meant the original Xbox? CNK came out before the Xbox One was a thing. Just correcting it for you guys, though I do blame Microsoft for even calling their current console that (360 to 1... nice going, MS).

Great read. I've always liked arcade racing games and Sega's old-school games, so can't wait until it comes out in the US.

@Grumblevolcano I have Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on Wii U and PC (via Steam). When I played it on Wii U back in 2013 though, there wasn't too many people online. I'll try out the online on the PC version sometime, there should still be plenty of people there.

Sega should continue revisiting their older IPs that aren't Sonic, and at least do remakes or Ages releases. As @techdude said, buying the Sega Ages releases might just do the trick. Maybe make a new IP or two, as well. Aside from Sonic Mania, I haven't bought a newly-released Sonic game since All-Stars Racing Transformed, as I kinda lost interest in the franchise.

Castlevania's the only one I'm interested in this month.
