Re: Doug Bowser Says Nintendo Will Continue To Support The 3DS Family Of Systems

D-Star92

I have no problem with Nintendo continuing to sell 3DS's, as there's a lot of great games for it (Virtual Console games included, plus SNES games for New 3DS owners) and it's very affordable. But yeah... sooner or later demand will decrease, especially since Switch Lite is now a thing.

@Anti-Matter I'm not sure if that will happen. Nintendo's been only giving the 3DS stability updates lately, so it probably won't happen. Same thing with the Wii U. I agree though, it would be great to have both 3DS and Wii U region-free.

Re: You'll Be Able To Transfer Save Files Between Switch And Switch Lite, Eventually

D-Star92

My only concern is that we may have to keep transferring our saves from the OG to Lite and vice versa, if we want a smaller Switch to take with us or want to play on the TV. If that's the case, no thanks...it already took a while to transfer all my save data and games to my New 3DS XL. The Switch Lite looks cool, don't get me wrong. I just hope that won't happen for those who want to have two different versions of the Switch.

Re: It’s Official: The Switch Online Service Has Surpassed 10 Million Subscribers

D-Star92

I got the online sub for the online play and cloud saves. Now that Super Mario Maker 2 is out, I'm getting more good use out of it thanks to me being able to play everyone's levels. Tetris 99 is pretty good and I even got the game vouchers, so I pretty much got more bang for my buck by having access to the online and a pair of $60 games. If I were to have longer access to NSO, though, I'll probably use my gold coins for another 1-year sub, that way I save another $20. I have enough gold coins for it and they're going to expire.

With all that said, here's what I would do with the service:

1) Have better servers for games
2) Expand the retro game library (I love the idea of NES Online, but only having NES games is boring... SNES, N64, and GameCube games would be rad. Have "Switch Online Gold" with those three platforms if they want to)
3) Don't pick and choose which games don't get to have cloud saves
4) Add friend messaging
5) Let players use headsets for voice chat
6) Make more games that let players join friends (Nintendo's been weird with that...)

If they do all that, the NSO numbers might increase quite a bit.

Re: Police Confirm That YouTuber Desmond "Etika" Amofah Has Died

Really sad to hear that he passed away... Rest in peace and my best wishes go to his family and friends.

I went through some difficult moments in my life, I'm not gonna lie... but I don't give up. Ever. Life is just way too precious to have, plus I have a career to live up to. No matter how miserable things get for you, your life is worth it! Suicide is never the answer. Keep going, and definitely get help when you truly need it.

Re: Feature: Nintendo E3 2019 - What Are You Hoping For?

D-Star92

All I'm predicting from this upcoming Direct is more info for already-announced games like Link's Awakening, as well as the next DLC fighter for Smash Ultimate. Other than that, I'm not expecting too much. Though I would be a very happy man if they announced SNES games for Switch Online (more retro Nintendo platforms would be even better), Mario Kart 9, the next F-Zero (though I admit, that's a very slim chance), DLC kingdoms for Super Mario Odyssey, or the next Donkey Kong Country. Not expecting those though, just my wishful thinking.

Bring in the announcements, Ninty!

Re: The Next DLC Fighter For Smash Ultimate Will Be Revealed At Nintendo's E3 Direct

D-Star92

Judging by the datamines, I bet that Erdrick will be the next DLC fighter. Like a lot of you, I would love to have Banjo and Kazooie playable, but I'm not getting my hopes up for that for obvious reasons. I also want to see Crash Bandicoot playable, which would be more feasible because after the PS1 days, Crash games were coming out on all platforms.

Those are just pipe dreams of mine, though, so I'm not expecting much. We'll see who makes the cut at E3.

Re: Mega Drive Mini Games List: All 42 Titles Revealed

D-Star92

Very good lineup overall, but I'm disappointed that Sonic 3 & Knuckles isn't on here. Granted, I have it on the Wii Virtual Console, but come ON Sega... more people deserve to play that masterpiece! I'll pick it up at some point though, since there's some Genesis games I want to try out, like Monster World IV (I never got it on the Wii VC).
