As if the prospect of one day visiting Japan's Super Nintendo World theme park wasn't already exciting enough, Universal Studios has now unveiled this incredible themed train.
The train, which will run on the JR Yumesaki line in Osaka starting from today, has received a fitting a Mario makeover to celebrate the park's grand opening. Of course, that 4th February opening date has now been pushed back, but Universal says that the new train design was launched regardless to give people something to smile about in hopes of a brighter future (thanks, Kotaku).
People visiting Universal Studios will be able to jump on this train to be dropped off at Super Nintendo World when it does eventually open, and while the interior of the train sadly looks just like any other, you can't deny that this is still the best way to turn up for a day at the park.
Checking out Super Nintendo World's photos and park map already has us eager to visit whenever we're able to, but now we're even looking forward to the journey there.
Are you hoping to visit Super Nintendo World one day? Let us know in the comments.

Are You F***ng kidding a train OH NINTENDO WHY DO YOU TAUNT US THIS WAY where in a pandemic and here you are advertising your theme park we can't even go to, thanks mate. (This is a joke so most of what I say is half true)
I hope to ride that someday
YOU'VE GOTTA RIDE THAT TRAIN RIGHT NOW! JUMP UP SUPER HIGH!
Japanese trains are awesome! I lived in Japan for 5 years and never needed a car. I went all over the country regularly too!
@TechaNinja That's what she said.
Jokes aside, this looks so fun. I'd imagine Street Pass would be well and alive when visiting the theme park. I mean, I know I would bring my 3DS along, and I'm sure a ton of fans would too.
@Heavyarms55 I was absolutely blown away by public transportation on my trip to Tokyo in 2019. We had unlimited travel on the Metro for two days for something like £10 each. And understanding how to get from one station to the other was so easy as they use numbers.
I wouldn't be able to use the London Underground without an app.
If anyone spray paints on this train of god i will find them
So THAT'S what a hype train looks like.
They totally missed the opportunity of bringing the Spirit Train to life for Super Nintendo World.
@ImagineerNik At least London has something. Most cities in the US have unreliable bus systems if they have anything at all. Only NYC has a decent-ish subway system. And even that is decades old. The handful of metro lines and trains operating in the US cannot even dream of comparing to Japanese public transportation
That's a really cool-looking train. Would love to climb aboard one day.
@Ghost_of_Hasashi Or the train in Kalimari Desert - either or would be cool to see. Maybe as an in-park ride or something!
That looks pretty awesome, just as long as they don't MAKE THE TRAIN GO [REDACTED].
@Heavyarms55 Yep, that is true. The US transportation system is pretty much "car or bust".
Of course it's just old renders slapped on there lazily
@Ghost_of_Hasashi I was thinking the Bullet Bill Express/Coin Express/Bowser Express from 3D World.
Looks incredible. They did a great job with its design.
My family enjoyed the Hello Kitty express train when we travelled from Kansai airport to Kyoto. I seem to remember that was themed inside as well. It was a typical welcome to Japan. We did a day at Disney Tokyo but skipped Universal Osaka. Would love to revisit Japan some day.
