Re: Talking Point: ARMS Turns 3 And Deserves More Love Than Ever

D-Star92

Never got the game but I did play the global testpunch a few times. It was pretty fun for a while, but I guess it didn't quite click with me the same way that, say, Smash Bros. did. Would've been cool if there was a story mode like others mentioned - I kinda wish there was a bit more to it.

Re: Poll: Which Remastered Mario Games Would You Pick For A 'Super Mario All-Stars 2'?

D-Star92

I'd want Super Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, and Galaxy 2 - Super Mario 3D All-Stars, if you will. All the extras from SM64 DS would be welcome, but I'd still be happy with just the N64 original being remade along with the others I've mentioned.

I won't mind seeing a compilation of NSMB 1, Wii, and 2 (the latter of which having all the Coin Rush DLC levels), as well as a Super Mario 3D World port to Switch. It'd also be cool to see Super Mario Land 1 and 2 have the same treatment as the Link's Awakening remake.

Re: Have Yourself A Wonderful MAR10 Day!

D-Star92

To celebrate my favorite Nintendo hero of all time, I think I'll play some Super Mario Maker 2 and/or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tonight. Happy Mario Day, everyone!

@IronMan30 Wow, your son's lucky! Tell him that one of Nintendo Life's biggest Mario fans wish him a super-happy birthday.

Re: Nintendo Switch SNES Controllers Are Back In Stock In North America

D-Star92

Seems like it sold out while I was sleeping. This is beyond annoying... like the others said, how hard is it to keep these controllers in stock??? I really, really, really wanted one of them. I wish they would at least let us special-order the SNES Switch controller while they're sold out, that would've been nice. I might have to resort to an alternative...

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 18th)

D-Star92

I'll be playing some more Astral Chain, and I just got Tokyo Mirage Sessions so I'll be playing that too. I'll be playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for that online tournament going on (though I probably won't win the gold coins, lol). I've recently been getting in a Smash Bros. mood so maybe I'll fit in some Smash Ultimate matches too!

Re: Feature: Our Most Anticipated Nintendo Switch Games Of 2020

D-Star92

The one I'm most excited for is Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I'm also pumped for Metroid Prime 4 and Breath of the Wild 2, but I don't think they'll get released next year.

I would love a sequel to either Super Mario 3D World or Odyssey if that ever happens! Either that, or a DLC pack for Super Mario Maker 2 with more game styles.

Re: These Are The Best-Selling Third-Party Games On Nintendo Platforms In America

D-Star92

I didn't expect a WCW game of all things, to be the best-selling 3rd party N64 game. Then again, I did play one of the N64 wrestling games at a relative's house long ago. Perhaps that one was it.

Anyway, loved Sonic Adventure 2 Battle as a kid, and I still do. It was the first Sonic game I ever had, given that I never had a Sega console growing up. Out of all the 3D Sonic games I've played, this one's probably my favorite. Sure it ain't perfect, but I like a lot of the levels, the soundtrack is awesome, and it has a great multiplayer mode. The Sonic and Shadow levels are the best for sure, but I also like blasting enemies with Tails and Eggman. Good times. Wouldn't mind seeing SA2 on the Switch!

I should put more time into Mario + Rabbids one of these days. From what I've played, I like it.

Re: Nintendo Has Now Sold More Than 750 Million Games Consoles Worldwide

D-Star92

I own all seven of Nintendo's home consoles, and I have some of the handhelds. (In particular, I have the original Game Boy Advance, an NES-themed GBA SP, and a red New 3DS XL.) I had a Game Boy Color and a DS Lite, but I lost them a long time ago. I do have the original DS, but it went bust. Oh, and I own the NES and SNES Classics too, as well as the Game & Watch Ball repro from Club Nintendo. Safe to say that I have no shortage of Nintendo stuff in my household. lol

Now all they have to do is reach a billion!

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Might Be Hiring Developers For A New 2D Mario Game

D-Star92

Can't wait to see what they are. I'll be especially excited if they make a 2D Mario game for Switch that's more unique compared to the NSMB games. After all, the Switch just got a port of NSMBU so it makes sense that they'd give 2D Mario a brand new direction!

As for 3D Mario, I enjoy all the 3D Mario games so I'll always be pumped for the next one, be it Galaxy 3, 3D World 2, Odyssey 2, or something else.
