Re: In Just Five Days, Mario Golf: Super Rush Became The Second Best-Selling Game In The Series

BrintaPap

@Kidfunkadelic83 I honestly prefer Mario power tennis on gbc since it had a decent story mode and funny/good minigames but Mario tennis aces is a good game in my book. The added content should have been there from the start but the game looks and plays solid for the most part.

Using the trick shot correctly can be very annoying and blocking a powered up shot with is impossible.

That part is exactly why i prefer the old and more cool powered up tennis shots on the gamecube/gameboy.

Re: Rumour: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax To Be Remastered For "Modern Platforms"

BrintaPap

The amount of persona 4/5 beggars is really astounding.

I kinda agree with @TheFrenchiestFry now. I hope it does not come to switch just to spite the people that want it. Go play persona 4 on you laptop (or even stream it to your smartphone) and buy or lend a ps3/ps4 for persona 5 if you “want to play” it that bad.

You may be thinking that Atlus needs to listen to its fans but honestly if you, still after years of being on, exclusively, the vita and just on pc and still not on other consoles, think that it will release on switch, think again.

I hope that playstation (5)also gets persona 6 as an exclusive game.

Re: Gabe Newell: Pricing Valve's Switch-Like Steam Deck Was "Painful"

BrintaPap

@RadioHedgeFund I disagree a bit with you.
There are many games on steam but imagine playing your easy to run games like hollow knight or the other many indies with you on the couch. Yeah im sure you cant run bf 2042 properly on it (maybe it will). But for tons of other games in HD its okay. Most 3rd party games on this will run better on switch only because of the stronger hardware without optimizations. I for one cant wait to play many of my steam games on this device.

Re: Nintendo Switch OLED Pre-Orders Go Live In The US Today

BrintaPap

@SwitchForce so? I imagine a bigger screen on the same device will be nicer especially when its oled. Sure we still have to see how its calibrated and all that but, say, playing a game like hollow knight on a oled screen will be more different then on a lcd screen.

Is it worth it for some others? Nope.
But i got the cash and a old switch so ill upgrade and sell my switch for around 300 because its the unpatched one.

Re: Nintendo Won't Say Whether Switch OLED Joy-Con Fixes Drift, So Don't Count On It

BrintaPap

@Donkey-Kong-Fan vendetta? Nah, just annoyed by their vague responses towards (directly asked) questions even though I understand why. Saying that they fixed will result in a loss in court.
And I also get annoyed by people saying “taKe CaRe oF YouR jOy-CoN”

@johnvboy my comment probably came off strong but that was not my intention so sorry for that. Non-verbal communication can be a pain. I thought that you were denying drift first.

Re: Atlus Has Seven "Project" Reveals Planned For Persona's 25th Anniversary

BrintaPap

@VoidofLight persona 5 runs okay on ps4, don’t know how ps3 version runs since I have never played that version. Ps 5 royal runs better and has smoother animations on ps4 since they only needed to focus on 1 platform/console.

But the games themselves are “easy to run” but then again most jrpgs look simple/okay and run okay on hardware. Most action third/first person have prettier graphics and play/look more smooth. It is no jab or anything at atlus specifically.

I guess it has to do with budget and their optimalisation teams.

Re: Nintendo Won't Say Whether Switch OLED Joy-Con Fixes Drift, So Don't Count On It

BrintaPap

@johnvboy ''The problem does not affect me therefore it does not exist, other people just don't take of their joycon and blow up this issue''.

That is how you sound.

Joy-con drift is a real issue. Not every product (Nintendo) a company launched is perfect and that is okay. Nothing is perfect. However acknowledging a fault is also normal to do and has been done by many other companies. Look at car companies for example.

I still have a perfectly working gamecube controller that is 16 year old, why do joy-con drift within half a year of usage?
Because it's a faulty product.
Even the president of nintendo of japan said sorry for joy-con drift.

There are many customer associations all over the world that started an investigation regarding this, they don't do it for fun.

Stop being a die-hard Nintendo fan that says that people are at fault.

Re: You Can Download Japan's Pokémon Unite Switch Network Test And Play Right Now

BrintaPap

@Heavyarms55 mostly with moba’s I played a few of them, you can only buy characters (in dota 2 ALL heroes are free right from the start) skins, in-game (valuta) XP boosts and other cosmetic related stuff.
Since the dawn of the battle passes they also have become a thing in moba’s. They only gripe is mostly character unlocking, without forking money over it could take a really long time. Good thing tho is that in some games the “best” characters are unlocked from the start but that def depends on the game.

I don’t think they will have pay to play (as in to get stronger) elements in this game. They will just throw ads and cosmetics in your face to promote their stuff.

Re: Switch Pro Rumours Intensify As New Retailer Listing Appears Online

BrintaPap

@DeclanS98 mine was too but my switch (that i used very carefully) has so many issues. Drifting joycon, disconnecting joycon, plastic creaking/breaking because of the heat. Slides getting worse over time.

I send my cons for repair and paid 50 euro’s but nothing got properly fixed. They want me to send my switch with me but if it’s my switch I also gotta pay for that and I don’t wanna risk losing it.

Re: Microchip Shortages Potentially Impacting Switch Covered In '60 Minutes' Report

BrintaPap

@BloodNinja with foundries (companies that make chips for electronic devices) you need place a order a long time ahead of production like 1-2 years since we are talking about products for the mass. But then our best friend covid came and MANY companies from every sector like Nintendo and BMW and Dell etc. They thought that people would save their cold hard mula and said to those foundries we don’t need that many products (once again) thinking that people won’t spend much on luxury.

But then the opposite happened. People worked at home and got bored and started to play games, started their “useless” vacation money on things like cars and laptops since they could not go on vacation anyway.
Then companies like Dell, Nvidia etc wanted to get some extra chips produces of course because the demand was sky high. But foundries don’t work that way since you essentially need to pre order your stuff.
Even big car companies can’t keep up with demand and some even stopped producing.

What also made this worse is that there is shortage of the raw materials needed for baking those chips (yes it’s called baking) and that there have been a few fire’s some foundries.

All of this combined makes for some nasty situations like the one we have now. But im no expert

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch 'Pro' Reveal Expected Before E3, Out This Year

BrintaPap

@Giancarlothomaz i dont work at nintendo but can maybe give you a reason. Keeping an old soc costs money prolly even more then just using a new one. It just is the way how tech works. Nvidia is not keen on producing the old tegra when they already have a newer version.

I also reckon nintendo wants to give the switch a bit more power and with the series x and ps5 around you need to be fast. You just cant decide that tomorrow you will mass produce this kind of thing.

Re: Rumour: Get That Salt Ready, Apple Is Reportedly Working On A Nintendo Switch-Style Hybrid Console

BrintaPap

@JohnnyC yeah, in this case you can see once again that money does not make a console good. Apple has money to design the most thinnest yet powerful console but people wont buy it if does not has the standard games like FIFA, COD & GTA on it. It will even sell less without good exclusives like Mario or Horizon Zero Dawn.

Games make a console good or bad. The rest is just a nice bonus. I’d still like to see Apple’s attempt tho, I would welcome a 4th console maker.
