Re: Virtuos Only Interested In Offering Switch Players The Best Ports Possible

BrintaPap

Let me first say that every game on this planet should have controls that can be customized in every way. Just like on pc. And also give players the choice to change the controls through the system itself like on PS4. There is no good reason to not do this.

It makes “sense” to see the Switch as a second platform due a different kind of machine with less power and some very different exclusives from the other game, from a perspective from the older Nintendo games.

However since the Switch prolly has already sold more then the Xbox most developers and publishers also now know that the more engaging, read: people talking about games online (in-depth). See this website, Youtube, Reddit, Resetera etc.

If you half ass a game or even a port everybody will know it. The people say it online and they will tell and speak about it to their friends and family and thats why maybe a game like FIFA 20 got cut content on the Switch edition. Because EA ( being EA) wanted to capitalize on the fact that Switch was a fast growing console/handheld in the market and want a quick cash-in.

If you want to be a serious publisher on the Switch, then publish your game serious on the platform.

Re: Hardware Review: Exlene GameCube Controllers For Nintendo Switch

BrintaPap

@ReaperExTenebris the thing I do not understand is why it is holding Smash players back. Why would it hold them back?

The controller has it flaws yeah, like the (cheapish) C-stick and small D-pad but it seems the majority of the people who like GC-C are content with it the reason being the layout of the ABXY buttons.

Well let us agree to disagree

Re: Hardware Review: Exlene GameCube Controllers For Nintendo Switch

BrintaPap

@ReaperExTenebris meh, I think the GC controller had some good reasons to use it even nowadays and not only for Smash.

I use an emulator on my pc to play gc games and the way the buttons are organized on the GC-controllers is still printed inside my head even after all those years. And I prefer it that way.

Even though I play PS4 games almost daily and also use the Pro Controller 90% of the time when playing Switch games.

Also why do some people want this “trend” to die out? There are many controllers on the market for the Switch and it is not like Nintendo or other third parties only make GC-style controllers.

Having more options is always better. They do not harm you.

Re: Iron Galaxy Helped Bring Overwatch To Switch, Nintendo Version Runs At 30fps

BrintaPap

@SeantheDon29 & @Doofenshmirtz but why stop at 30 frames per second.
I get that some people really are crying that 30 fps games are unplayable which is not the case. But if everyone is accepting 30 fps on the Switch the chance is higher that devolpers will keep the game on 30 fps.

If you do not notice a difference at 30 frams vs 60 frames per second that is cool, but some people (and not even gamer per se) will notice it. And 60 fps games feel most of the time more responsive then 30 fps.

Back in the day, I have read and seen games running on 10 or maybe less frames per second. These were mostly static games with story telling tho. After that games came with 60 fps on (S)NES etc. We now have games running on 200+ frames on beast PC's.

I get that the Switch is less powerful then the PS4 or Xbox but sometimes it is just a pity that even the most simple games like Overcooked, and many more, run at 30 fps. (Also I know that there are 30 fps games on the PS4/XBOX.

In other words: Yes, I take a stable/locked 30 fps over a not-constant 60 fps, but why would I not prefer a stable/locked 60 fps above it all?

No matter what platform.

Also @cryptologous his comment. There is a reason why most (online) shooters and fighters are 60 fps.

Re: Random: Sakurai Tells Nintendo Fans To Check Out The Original Banjo-Kazooie On Xbox One

BrintaPap

@SalvorHardin Man what does it matter?

Please enlighten me.

Nintendo sits around with these publishers and they do not seem to care. If they (SEGA/ATLUS) do not bring a game like Persona 5, why is Nintendo being “used”.

People like are you acting like they hold a gun or a knife towards Nintendo.

It is not like Nintendo needs their characters on Smash Ultimate. This mostly PR for obvious reasons. Nintendo gets more money and the publishers and the players get a extra character.

Grow up.

Re: Talking Point: Should We Expect A Nintendo Direct In September?

BrintaPap

Yeah I think a direct is coming this month. Also rather sooner that later.

Also speaking of rumors: Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden is said to be the 4th according to IamShifty.

He has a good “track record” & and up until know everything he said has been 100% correct. ( He said Ken, Incineroar and Isabelle would come to Smash Ultimate and also mention the dlc pass, months prior this was even announced by Sakurai/Nintendo)

Having that said, I look forward of a port of Super Mario 3D world.

Re: As You Probably Guessed, Need For Speed Heat Isn’t Coming To Switch

BrintaPap

Too bad that this is not coming to Switch, would get it on PS4 anyway just for the visuals that would look better ( and throphies). But reading here that the game ,just like last years Need for Speed, has microtransactions... nope never mind that collectors edition EA....

I hope EA just opens their eyes and port/remaster the old Need for Speed games like Underground, Most wanted (2005) and Carbon.

Re: This Tiny Nintendo Switch Dock Has Just Obliterated Its Kickstarter Goal

BrintaPap

@The_Mysteron Congratz for being first! I remember the times how we practiced hard to get you where you are today.

The days of browsing all articles on different websites just to be the first person to place a comment are over now.

You are the champion, son.

Do not let anybody tell you that you can’t amount to anything in this lifetime.

On-topic: I have been following this company/kickstarter. Their (hardware) engineer explained on Reddit how Switches are bricked and what caused it. He also gave advice on what the best third party docks alternatives there are for the Nintendo Switch.

He also did not once mentioned Genki the company who is working on this small dock now.
That kinda is a nice gesture since he could have advertised for this/his company.

I think that the days of every switch brinking in a 3rd party dock are over.

If anybody is intrested in his article I can send you a link.

Re: Hands On: Enter The Gungeon's Physical Edition Is Sure To Brighten Up Your Gaming Shelves

BrintaPap

Got it physical on the PS4, for free on the PC, got it digital on the Switch and will import the game from Amazon physcial on the Switch.

I plunged way too many hours in this game and realllllly like it.

Also @xmrmeow In my opinion this game equally as playable on consoles as on the PC. Since this is a “twin-stick” shooter among other genres.

I only wished for Dodge Roll games to let the game be more optimised for the Nintendo Switch since I still experience framedrops even on the fast preset.

Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch

BrintaPap

Do not mind me please, just waiting until a guy with some “different buttons” reacts to the simple fact that 100% of all Switch owners who are experiencing this Joy-Con drifting are just filthy people with dirty rooms/houses and not take care of their houses. Mind you do also not forget that Nintendo should not do anything about these controllers that are faulty since day one.

While I am at it I am also waiting for a guy who never heard of laws protecting consumers from faulty product that are out or in the period of warranty. Because people cannot complain to a company that creates luxury goods (that are once again faulty).

Re: Spyro Reignited Trilogy To Require Additional Download In North America, But Not Europe?

BrintaPap

I can “understand” the fact the part 1 was on the disc on Ps4 and Xbox. They had 4K textures on the disc which also led to bigger GB’s of game data. However on the Switch the max output is Full HD. This automatically means a smaller game since visuals still account for the biggest usage of storage on cards/disc.

After waiting this long to port the game over they could make the game smaller and put the full game on the card.

So I trully wonder if the game finally is on 1 cartridge. If so I will buy it physical.

Re: Microsoft Details Xbox E3 Schedule, Lists Nintendo Direct As A Place You "Need To Be"

BrintaPap

I hope that Nintendo will release one of their IP’s or exclusive games not owned by Nintendo but still an exclusive (like Cuphead with/on Xbox, dang this hard to explain) on the Xbox. Even though I don’t have an Xbox.

People here seem really to like this Nintendo heart Xbox thing only taking things from Xbox but not wanting to return anything. Seems logical to be honest since we do not get to decide anything.

I just wanna share the love back to Xbox because they gave me Cuphead.

So Nintendo go on and give them something in return like Smash!!

Nah that will rage Nintendo (die hard fanboys) they will wish them Snipperclips

Re: Game Freak Is Trying To Create Something "More Exciting Than Pokémon"

BrintaPap

I think that it’s a good idea: I do not know how many employees work there over at Game Freak. It seems to be big enough to be at least split in two production teams.

It gives them experiences on different platforms as in what other genre gamers like. Also they will for sure level up their developer XP.

In the end they can learn from the other team of Game Freak and maybe report some intresting findings back to Nintendo like online structure for example.

Just imagine working on the same (type of) game for over 10 years. It will bother and annoy some employees if not all.
