@BloodNinja with foundries (companies that make chips for electronic devices) you need place a order a long time ahead of production like 1-2 years since we are talking about products for the mass. But then our best friend covid came and MANY companies from every sector like Nintendo and BMW and Dell etc. They thought that people would save their cold hard mula and said to those foundries we don’t need that many products (once again) thinking that people won’t spend much on luxury.

But then the opposite happened. People worked at home and got bored and started to play games, started their “useless” vacation money on things like cars and laptops since they could not go on vacation anyway.
Then companies like Dell, Nvidia etc wanted to get some extra chips produces of course because the demand was sky high. But foundries don’t work that way since you essentially need to pre order your stuff.
Even big car companies can’t keep up with demand and some even stopped producing.

What also made this worse is that there is shortage of the raw materials needed for baking those chips (yes it’s called baking) and that there have been a few fire’s some foundries.

All of this combined makes for some nasty situations like the one we have now. But im no expert

@Giancarlothomaz i dont work at nintendo but can maybe give you a reason. Keeping an old soc costs money prolly even more then just using a new one. It just is the way how tech works. Nvidia is not keen on producing the old tegra when they already have a newer version.

I also reckon nintendo wants to give the switch a bit more power and with the series x and ps5 around you need to be fast. You just cant decide that tomorrow you will mass produce this kind of thing.

If they add the adventure games i hope they fix the many bugs, the controls AND the camera. I also really hope they rerelease sonic and all stars racing (and transformed), they are so so so so much better than sonic team racing.

@TheFox racing and open world go good together (NFS Most wanted 2005, burnout) but I truly dont think it will benefit MK. But im very open to be probed wrong

@Nintendoforlife I dont know man, im glad that in my country that when I go to school or work or just walking outside the chance of having a person next to me had a gun on him is slim to none where in usa its about 70% or higher

@JohnnyC yeah, in this case you can see once again that money does not make a console good. Apple has money to design the most thinnest yet powerful console but people wont buy it if does not has the standard games like FIFA, COD & GTA on it. It will even sell less without good exclusives like Mario or Horizon Zero Dawn.

Games make a console good or bad. The rest is just a nice bonus. I’d still like to see Apple’s attempt tho, I would welcome a 4th console maker.

@WillQuan well to be honest most their devices are just as expansive as the flagship laptops of “competitors” like HP, Asus and the likewise microsoft surface line.
Their M1 chip blows the competition away.

Edit: and no it wont win vs a intel xeon or stuff like that

@Scapetti subscriptions everywhere, thats the future, microsoft office, netflix, dinsey +, adobe products, your ISP heck maybe even your car already has sub on it. and maybe next gen games are subscription only.

I dont need to own everything I have but I just dont like having subs for everything. In the long run it is always more expensive then do just buy and own it.

Ofcourse this is just a digital game so you can download it later until you can’t.

@TheFullAndy if people want to buy it they will still buy it. Gamepass is a good thing imho (and I dont even have a xbox). Sure the step to buy gets lowered since you can play it on gamepass… but would some people even try this game if it were not on gamepass?

@HamatoYoshi i also dont pay full price for (new) physical games. I like to lend my games to friends and/or family, you cant do that with digital. Also physical is ofter more available for cheaper and you can sell them if needed.

I dont know will test it later but Smash 3ds does not work. Dont know how though every other game seems fine.

I would buy this for my wife... if it was like 5 euro

@Muddy_4_Ever Mario kart is a pretty chill game? I thought it was hectic.

@PALversusNTSC I want COD on Switch only for the zombies though with multiplayer would have been better. Say what you want but COD always has been a good 60fps and good/great graphics with great gameplay.

@Yosher Yeah I hate it too... I'm just going to wait till this game drops in price and then buy it. Hopefully I get the game from a new patch since these comes with the patch installed on the cartridge itself.
I said it before but I would pay Nintendo to put the last updates on my cart ridge.

@ok1 we do, but we think GTA 5 is a good game worthy of this strong support for all these years. Can’t wait to buy it on PS5 and Switch.

Yeah gonna wait for a sale for this... I won’t pay full price for a game remake without dlc included.

@the4seer the same way news about Netflix’ The Witcher gets reported here. A game related to that is on a Nintendo console... yeah it’s farfetched but I remember one on the reporters here saying that. It also is a Nintendo focused websites not Nintendo only news. Once again not mine words but theirs.

I still firmly believe/am certain that Rayman is frozen on the right side of the stage in Battlefield. Go into training mode or use photo mode to see “him” It would be cool if he would break out of the ice and joins the roster. I would not be THAT suprised if he were to join the game but I def would love to have him,

@RainbowGazelle you know hd is 720p right? A resolution that was used/common 15 years back or maybe even more.

I like the directing this is going but the game look so so empty. I understand that this is an early preview but there are tons of open world games with empty lands/buildings and this is gamefreak we are talking about... could be a banger but I don’t think it will be.

@Divinebovine I also played the gamecube version, the games are totally the same except for the part where the game boy version has a (good) singeplayer game. The gamecube version has multiplayer.

the story mode reminds me of Mario Power Tennis on the GBA. upon leveling up in the single player mode you could allocate skill points towards things like slice, topspin and many more. you also had very fun minigames giving you exp. i hoped it would come back in tennis aces but it seems Camelot saved that for this game.
