This one looks fun. Started to get so sick of the flooding of metroidvanias and a lot sucked, but this one looks really nice from the art style to gameplay. Will definitely check this one out after having ignored this genre for the last year or 2.

All I'm concerned about is whether or not this will scratch/scuff up the back of my console like the original did. If so, then no improvements make a difference if it still scuffs the Switch's backplate.

As much as I want this, no physical means I won't buy it.

If this runs well I will 100% double dip on this game. I love this game and when teams put the time and effort with good quality ports to Switch I have to support it.

Got on Amazon and returned it same day. Scratched the back of my Zelda TotK Switch, as well as that right analog stick really is very uncomfortable and positioned really badly.

I wanted to love this, but it really isn't worth it.

These collectors edition prices are getting absurd. I remember something like this would have been $150 CAD but now $220 USD so likely $250 CAD minimum. Absolutely absurd and ridiculously overpriced considering base game is $30 USD or $50 for Deluxe so do they really think that extra junk is worth $170?

They can keep it, not getting my business, not on the physical c.e. anyway.

Still working on this on PC. Glad to see the Switch version get a 9 out of 10. This game is a gem and I can't believe how long it took me to get into it.

NL reviews are the only ones I trust and I may grab this on Switch just to have a physical copy once that is released next year and show support for devs who do these wonderful Switch ports.

I also got it on sale on PC so devs that deserve support wilp get my support.

What a joke! Konami won't be getting my money and I've already cancelled my pre-order. This is just another lazy hald-a**ed (and overpriced) money grab of a port.

I already pre-ordered the Prehistoric Edition, but now this news make me even more excited to receive it! Amazing news as I loved not only the SNES game but also the Genesis games and still own a near mint Jurassic Park 1 on the Genesis. This will be great to have playable on my Switch complete!

@Slim_in_Blue oh absolutely, I won't speak for the majority or claim I know what the majority thinks. Just wanted to chime in and mention I'm one of those adult fans that wasn't happy, and that nostalgia wasn't enough to make the game fun, and just to add a number out there lol.

If others can get past the bugs and performance than good on them and glad some can find enjoyment in these games. I just couldn't do it, and with so many other great and better functioning games around I decided I'll play something else that won't frustrate me, but I can't in good conscience support pokemon again and support this kind of lazy development and lack of QA.

If they prove themselves and future releases have great reviews and fewer issues/better performance then I'll reconsider since I really do love the series in general.

@Slim_in_Blue nah I'm that adult fan who played from the start and I couldn't play these games, the issues are just too much so I gave up and shelves the games hoping patches would fix some of it, but seems that's not the case. Nostalgia isn't enough to make me play these trash games. I'm forever done with pokemon at this point.

If they want to release annually then they need 2 full dev teams that can spend 2 years per title.

This current setup of less than 12 full months development time doesn't work.

But too little too late for me, I'll never buy another pokemon game after the mess that was Scarlet and Violet. I've been playing since Red/Blue and Yellow... Goodbye Pokemon!

Tried but pre-orders were snagged up instantly in Canada by scalpers so I'm done buying amiibos. Nintendo can go F*** themselves!

They always release numbers that even without scalpers wouldn't supply the demand so I make my own amiibo nfc tags and that's it. Nintendonis so against piracy yet they won't make sufficient supply for the demand on these and game C.E.'s, etc so for amiibos I just make my own now until Nintendo stops being idiotic.

Can't find them in Canada. Effing scalpers took all of these as soon as they showed up. I'm sick of Nintendo making these in such small numbers, so I'll make my own tags if they cant supply enough product for demand then they (and the scalpers) leave me no choice and can go eff themselves.

@Yosher all of LRG'S editions have been getting absurdly overpriced for the last year and a half or so I've noticed slowly climbing up in price. It's gotten ridiculous.

Too little too late. Glad to hear theyve been working on this but that fact some of the mentioned issues still exist (vehicles materializing is still too close, and SA performance) is still not a good look and should not be issues on such old games, even on the Switch.

Ya well Jim Ryan is an idiot. I love Mario and Zelda and COD. I didn't buy a PS5 because of scalpers hogging all stock but now after the childishness of Sony (and Jim Ryan especially), I'll never buy a Sony console again. I'll happily stick with my PC and Switch.

That said, I wouldn't buy COD on Switch because I have a gaming PC and prefer to play FPS games with mouse & keyboard. That doesn't mean other players feel the same, and I'm sure plenty would buy and play COD on the Switch.

Although, I think I just may buy it on Switch to add to the sales just to spite this idiot and his generalizations and ignorant comments. Jim Ryan knows nothing of gaming/gamers and is just an idiot. He's a cry baby who bullies and plays dirty to get exclusives but now that MS has exclusives from Zenimax it's somehow wrong and trying to acquire Activision is just him being a sore loser that he didn't think of it first.

Maybe now I'll actually pickup this game to play with my son. Glad they made this change, but as many others have said, this should have been the way it was from the start.

I hope other companies catch on and stop with this mtx bs in every single effing game these days.

Can't wait for this game! I grew up playing Castle of Illusion on my Genesis and pre-ordered this as soon as I heard about it. This sounds promising and can't wait!

Haha I did the same and got up in Impa's balloon and was told to jump and use my glider lol. After that I went to get the glider lol.

I'm glad I don't own a PS5, and I will never buy another Sony console. I will always buy every Nintendo console though and maybe to spite Sony I should go buy the Xbox lol.

I refuse to support these shady and predatory microtransaction models found in this game. Most games I refuse to support these unless the game itself is free, otherwise not in a full priced game.

Games that may be full priced but only offer cosmetic and/or other items such as expansion style dlc that are not predatory then I may support if I enjoy the game, but 2K has earned a spot on my list of never support companies, just below EA and Ubisoft.

$25 to rent is absurd and must be some sort of joke!

I can't believe people still play this and buy the ridiculous cash shop crap with how often they do ridiculous updates or adding (recently) 2 boxes containing the same items but 2 different prices.

I gave up on this game within the first month. The currency you could buy (I forget the name) was priced where buying larger bundles would cost more than the lowest bundle. It was ridiculous so I knew then they were scammers.

@zgillet I have my old one laying around, it's just not hooked up. I may have to do that, or hook up my Gamecube as well.

I'm so sick of battle passes and microtransactions in these AAA games that now cost us $90 for normal editions and $120-130 for "deluxe/ultimate" and then they still want more money?!? This crap is slowly turning me away from gaming, which socks because I've gamed since Atari 2600 days and love it, but this greed and bs is getting beyond ridiculous now.

This is awesome, but they NEED to add the Genesis games as well. I still have the original Genesis game (box and manual) in great condition but I would love to buy this collection from LRG, but only if they add the Genesis as well.

@TheBoilerman same. The fact the physical copies sold out within minutes of going live at a stupid time that most weren't awake for, they lost oit on me buying this for my Switch.

I only buy physical so their loss, not mine. I played all these as originals through my childhood so I'm not actually missing anything.

I was keeping an eye on this, but now it's a definite buy and likely day 1 to play until Zelda comes out.

Don't know and don't care. Physical copies sold out almost instantly and they refuse to sell more so I'll never buy this so I could care less.

Glad I waited for reviews on this one but hope they take this opportunity to fix this terrible version.

I almost bought the physical but decided to hold off. I am glad now that I didn't buy it. Such a shame because I was looking forward to this one. Maybe digital only on a very large discount but not full price or physical with a score like that.

Sounds like it doesn't deserve the "Remaster" and should just be called "Tales of Symphonia: Lazy Port".

I loved it on the GC so I'll get it but may wait for a sale after this as it sounds like a lazy money grab.

This "limiited" crap for the normal copy is absurd and ridiculous and companies need to stop doing this making normal copies limited and exclusive to their own stores!

I won't buy this digitally so Square has just lost business by limiting the amount they produce and sell. That and allowing scalper a**holes to grab them all up needs to end. I refuse to buy crap from scalpers as well. I'm sick of the way this industry is going. F U SQUEENIX!

@Savage_Joe Ah the updated Ark re-release finally came out? I heard about it, but didnt realize it was already released. Glad to hear it runs better than the OG, and now Pokemon SV.

This means their may be some hope these games may get fixed to an acceptable level.

Zelda BotW being 5 1/2 years old still looks better than this mess of a game, and runs flawlessly.

The Witcher 3 also looks and runs better than this game on the Switch's hardware.

Those are just 2 prime examples that prove the problem is on the developers side, and not the Switch's hardware. This game reminds me of the terrible Ark port on the Switch. Sure the Switch won't run Cod:MW2 but this game is ugly as F*** and could have been just fine if the developers knew what they were doing.

Here in Canada, bayonetta is still on stock at Best Buy for example so not an issue here but overall I find nintendo loves to add to artificial stock shortages to increase demand.

Amiibos that get snagged by calpers but let's say scalpers didn't exist, they still don't put enough stock out for demand. So if nintendo won't release enough stock they need to stop targeting those who are making their own amiibo nfc tags for example. I can't buy these, I won't pay scalpers so put more stock otherwise I'll make my own so I can get the in-game bonuses.

Bunch of idiots! They've pushed me away, especially since I got my Steam Deck. I'm done with amiibos that I can get, done with C.E.'s (especially since here in Canada we get screwed and get almost none of these) and any game that I can play on Steam Deck I'll buy on Steam instead of my Switch.

Their will always be war so by your logic you will never release this game? I mean COD is more intense and graphic than this in its depiction of war and that is still releasing on time. This didn't have to be delayed for so long and who knows how much longer.

It's ridiculous this is called Overwatch 2. It's not a sequel but just an update to the original game to milk more money from players. Such a scam!
