Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 20.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@speed_loafer Not necessarily. Let me give you an example of a situation in which it would be helpful. I have 2 Nintendo Switches, 1 for me, 1 for my brother. Both are logged into the same account, let's call it Account1. I have two digital purchases on Account1, mario kart and Smash ultimate. With this turned on, I could have the virtual game card for Smash on my system, while my brother has mario kart on his. Turning this setting on would enable both of us to access either game, despite not having the virtual game card (you just can't access the same game at the same time). It's similar to the system that was in place before the virtual game card nonsense, but with that system you could both access the same game at the same time. But it's by far the easiest way to be able to access a library from two systems, since you don't have to eject and load game cards every time someone on the other console wants to play a game. (Hopefully that explanation made sense, I am very tired lol)

At the end of the day, I can't be bothered to be mad about prices that don't affect me personally. Is mkw costing 80 bucks stupid? Yeah, kind of. But I'm buying the console bundle at launch, so it really doesn't matter to me. (And as an aside, I really hate the "have empathy for others argument", cause I guarantee the majority of people saying that couldn't care less about me. It's a two way street.)

Re: Nintendo Announces 'Virtual Game Cards' For Switch, Unlocking Digital Lending

@HeadPirate Yeah, this is the most blatant anti-consumer move Nintendo has done in a while. I've literally been using the current system to share digital games with my younger brother (lives at home and I'm at school) for the past 3 years. I'm so frustrated with this. It's an objective downgrade that severely limits what you can do. I'm also not typically the pitchfork type, but this is making me consider a Nintendo boycott. It's going to screw my entire setup up so much.

Edit: After rewatching the video, it appers there may be a way to opt out of this junk. There was fine print at the end reading ""By navigating to User Settings ⇒ Online-License Settings and turning the setting to ON, you can instead opt to connect to the internet to start up software." I'm having trouble understanding what this means, but hopefully it means the old system may still be an option. But that being said, any help interpreting would be appreciated.
