@nomither6 I don't think a Heroes remaster can happen. I'm pretty sure there are issues with the game engine because Sega doesn't own it. It's called Renderware or something and they apparently can't use it anymore.

Indy and PoP are both very strong contenders, that's for sure. Also, I hate trashing on this game, cause I feel kinda mean, but it would be nowhere close to these awards if it wasn't for the word "Zelda" being on the box. It just ain't that good man.

It's not moving to Switch 2 only. Y'all are being dumb. It was already confirmed for Switch, developed for Switch, and DF said the trailer footage was almost certainly on Switch. Stop being dumb.

Also, my theory is that this is gonna be a 70$ game, which is why this is happening, but I could definitely be wrong about that.

Oh dang. I haven't yet. Might go buy a set of Vouchers for this and Prime 4. So hyped to finally have one of my favorite games on Switch!

@Skunkfish Yeah, the games are the real reason I'm hyped for the reveal. Obviously a beefier console to play them on is nice, but that ain't really the most important thing to me. The idea of a new 3d Mario and new Mariokart, ooh man it sounds so good.

Yeah, I'm very skeptical of this. I don't think Nintendo would kill the series over racial stereotypes. (I mean, their mascot is literally an Italian stereotype.)

I just don't know how they top Shadow Generations. It just felt like the perfect 3D Sonic game. But no matter what, do not let IGN have the world premiere gameplay footage!!! Whoever made that decision with Frontiers was definitely not the smartest.

@Yuna-Suzuki Yeah, my DQ knowledge is definitely lacking, but if I remember correctly, wasn't it one of the first turn based RPGs? It feels like when it comes to that, people always only bring up final fantasy, but DQ was probably at least equally important.

Dang, I really should try Dragon quest 3. I honestly don't think I have time though. Still bonkers to me how crazy popular it is in Japan though.

I think the best way to introduce Rouge would be a standalone shadow movie. He is way too good in movie form to not get a solo film.

As for Big the Cat, he should naturally become the main villain if the series moving forward. And he should of course be voiced by the Rock. (Naturally).

My Switch play time this year ended up being the lowest of the three platforms I play on (Switch, Xbox, and Steam).

22 games for 242 hours total.

1. Splatoon 3
2. Tetris 99
3. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Everything's about in line with what I expected, though a small part of me hoped Tetris 99 would be number one, cause it would be funny. Hopefully, those numbers are a little higher next year, maybe with a mysterious new device of some sort to play on

Why am I actually hyped for this? Like, this looks way better than it has any right to.

@MJF I'm sure it is. I've heard a lot of good things. I'm not one of those people who's actively rooting against it or anything, I just find it a little funny.

@fenlix Dang, didn't realize steam score was that low. Yikes. Think it's mostly due to them adding stupid stuff post launch from reading a handful. Truly an iconic Activision moment lol.

I mean, I liked EOW, but it's like a 6/10 at best. It just kind of plays it really safe and doesn't feel like it is nearly as creative or fun as it should be. I honestly feel like if it wasn't for the Zelda in the title, it wouldn't be anywhere near this list. (Which isn't something I would say about most other Zelda games.)

It's fascinating how much opinions are split on this game. It almost makes me want to give it a try to see where I land on it. Regardless, I'm a little worried this might be the end of the series, cause it has not sold well at all.

@HammerGalladeBro nah, the movie's pretty good. One of the most well paced movies I have ever seen. And has great performances across the board. Never even watched the musical before either, but this movie definitely won me over. Would highly recommend.

@anoyonmus But like... they could just have someone else develop it. Let's not pretend Nintendo doesn't have internal dev teams capable of developing a new dkc game. They could even outsource it if needed. Dkc returns 3D was developed by monster games, who even designed a bunch of new levels for that version. So yeah, not taking that as an excuse.

The more I hear of Keanu Reaves as Shadow, the more I like it. The delivery on the final line is INCREDIBLE. Also, Shadow with gun?!?!? Sonic really about to have the best game and best movie of the year.

@Bolt_Strike I'm sorry, but that just doesn't add up. While the executive immunity ruling is a little bit of a stretch, it's nowhere near the level of suspending the constitution. If this did happen (which it never would), elections would be the least of concerns, considering it would be such an unprecedented move it would likely trigger an all out civil war.

@Bolt_Strike So, you can't change election rules on an executive order. It would need to be a constitutional amendment to even have a chance. Yes, the supreme Court would shut it down. Because it's not remotely close to being constitutional.

@Bolt_Strike Except you're taking those lines entirely out of context. I'm far from a Trump fanatic, but you are taking the dictator on day one quote way too literally. He was referring to how there was a lot he wants to do on day one, not that he literally wants to be a dictator. I'm not familiar with the other lines you're referencing, but the idea there will no longer be elections is absurd. That's not how U.S. politics works at all. If you disagree, please explain specifically what legislation they will pass to accomplish this.
