@Dang_69 The Switch version is just Repentance without the plus. This is the first console release for Repentance+ which has been in beta on Steam for about a year now but it's mostly just online multiplayer and some balance changes/QoL improvements.
Hopefully there will be a way for existing Switch players to upgrade to the new version when it comes out without having to buy the whole game again.
@nhSnork Just the previous content. Repentance+ mainly added online multiplayer along with some nice balance changes and QoL improvements but no additional content on top of what's already in Repentance.
@Tibob I think I'm getting close to 4,000 hours across platforms. I love a lot of other roguelites too but nothing else I've played has that level of replayability.
Age of Calamity is still sitting in my backlog so not buying another game unless I actually go back and get through that first.
Regardless I don't think I'd be buying this though without a decent sale as it's the sort of game that doesn't seem worth it to me at the higher price point. I'm going to be much more selective about what I buy.
I was playing Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter and Ball X Pit but I finished both on the same day so it's freed my time right up to get stuck into some other games.
I've gotten into Necesse on my Steam Deck over the last few days now that it's out of early access. Been pretty addictive so day so I'll mostly continue to play that.
If I can find the time though I'm also hoping to finally start my 4th route of Summer Pockets: Reflection Blue as it's been a fair while since I've played now. Would be nice to get through the rest by the end of the year.
@LazyDaisy This game is going to get like such a breath of fresh air after suffering through Mario Kart World's horrible design decisions.
Multiple modes that all feel drastically different from each other. Lots of settings to change so that your can play however you want. Single player story mode. Objectives to clear. Vehicle customisation. Music player. It's like game is everything that Mario Kart wasn't and then some.
This is the one Switch 2 game that I've been really looking forward to. I really don't need to even see any more before the game launches but I'll be watching anyway.
Really not a fan of companies deliberately releasing unfinished games. I wasn't buying it to begin with but this would be a deal-breaker for me if I was.
@Lizuka It'll be interesting to see how well new Switch 2 games sell in general compared to their Switch counterparts. My main reason for skipping ZA is just because I don't think the game looks very good but the increased game pricing is also going to result in me being much more picky about what I buy from now on.
I haven't got around to playing it yet as too many JRPGs released close together but I'm looking forward to playing a new Atelier game that actually feels like an Atelier game.
Being able to play in first person would be kinda interesting but seems that it's basically just allows you to look around in first person while standing stationary then automatically shifts back to third person when you start moving.
@Supaguy I've been pretty vocal about how disappointed I've been about Mario Kart World but the Sonic game looks even worse to me. At least there's still Kirby Air Riders soon though.
It was probably a smart move to release this as a surprise shadow drop in the Direct. Probably would have gotten quite a few sales from people caught up in the hype of the moment before stopping to question whether it's actually worth it.
I really didn't like the direction they went with Yumia (and to a lesser extent the Ryza games) but I think this should be much more what I'm looking for based on what little I've seen.
Continuing to read through my third route of Summer Pockets: Reflection Blue and gotten back into Monster Train 2 the last few days after the latest update. I should probably go back to Tevi as well if I can find the time.
I was already heavily leaning into skipping this game as it doesn't look very good IMO but the paid DLC just sealed my decision. Getting the game plus the Switch 2 upgrade plus the DLC is way too expensive for me for what it is.
Review scores for this game seem to be all over the place so far. A majority seem to be 8-9/10 and then you have NWR giving it a 2/10. I usually really like Kodaka games so I think I'll still just play it and decide for myself.
I'm disappointed that they got rid of the vouchers and gold coins for Switch 2 with nothing at all to replace them (as yet at least). I'm going digital this time for the convenience (plus I'm running out of space for all my physical games) but it's literally just more expensive than buying physically at launch which sucks.
It's not something I'm super desperate to play so I'd be fine with it being delayed if that's what they've gotta do but it wouldn't be ideal with how lackluster the Switch 2's launch year lineup has been so far.
I tried to get into it years ago but wasn't really feeling it so it's been stuck in the backlog since. I still intend to give it another chance at some point but I don't think it will be any time soon.
Thankfully this game wasn't really on my radar to begin with otherwise I would be a bit annoyed by this. I'm not interested in Silksong but anything releasing near Kirby Air Riders will have to wait for me.
Like others here, I changed it almost immediately and it instantly made everything feel more intuitive for me. I generally just want my jump button as close to my analogue stick as possible in a 3D game.
@Suketoudara Yeah that will be interesting. Wouldn't surprise me if we get something a little more complex this time around but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
Even though I'm most keen for whatever is taking City Trial's place, I do also hope that the racing mode is really fun as I'd be keen for a new racer that isn't just straight line simulator with way too many players.
@Suketoudara I think it's a pretty safe bet though that there will be a mode similar to City Trial except probably even more fleshed out. Obviously there's still racing as well but I doubt it'll be the game's biggest appeal so it can easily co-exist with Mario Kart.
Oh, that's exciting. This has been my most anticipated Switch 2 game ever since it was announced so I'm super keen to actually see some gameplay footage.
The last two negatives are why I have no interest in this game. Concept is interesting but it doesn't look fully fleshed out enough for me to bother with it.
@SplatRay001 Hard to give a definitive answer to that. First game is still pretty good and is probably worth playing but I think the second game is improved in a lot of ways and you don't need any knowledge of the first to enjoy the second. Mostly depends if you want to commit to playing through two 60 hours JRPGs or not.
I'm pretty happy with both. Switch 2 mainly for first party Nintendo games and then Steam Deck to complement my gaming PC, mainly used as an indie game machine.
@Ellie-Moo That was my issue with Odyssey, there were just so many moons and collecting them didn't feel satisfying enough. I'm hoping that the skill point system in this game helps in that regard.
Leading up to launch I wasn't worried about the gap between games as I figured Mario Kart would keep me pretty occupied for a while. I think the game's pretty terrible though so I ended up regretting buying the console at launch considering I don't like the only game I own on it. Looking forward to finally having something fun to play (hopefully for real this time) in DK though. It does look really good.

@bluemage1989 Mewgenics finally comes out (on Steam) in Feb though and looks really fun.

Re: Sakurai Reveals Even More Kirby Air Riders Footage Ahead Of Tomorrow's Direct
@Kiliomp To be fair, that's sadly not a very high bar. It does look actually great though.

Re: Review: BALL x PIT (Switch) - Ballsy, Beautifully Balanced, Mercilessly Addictive
I've been really keen for this one since its annoucement so I'm glad it turned out as good as it looks. Downloading it on Steam as I type this.
Re: Review: Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Stellar Battles, But A Step Down From Arceus
Legends: Arceus was okay-ish, at least compared to other recent Pokemon games, but this one has honestly looked pretty terrible from the start.
Re: Community: 32 Switch Games We Missed, As Recommended By You
I read a lot of VNs and I'd rate Witch on the Holy Night pretty high up there amongst my favourites.
Re: Review: Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian (Switch) - Moving Forward By Looking Back

Re: Opinion: Sonic Racing Crossworlds > Mario Kart World, And It's Not Even Close For Me
Mario Kart was disappointing and Sonic just looks bad so I'm in the waiting for Kirby Air Riders camp.
Re: Review: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (Switch) - Cracking Karting, But Struggles To Keep Up On Switch
@progx Pretty sure that's the one game in the series that I've actually played a little bit of but I didn't really like it.
Re: Japanese Charts: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Can't Compete With Mario Kart World
@Supaguy I've been pretty vocal about how disappointed I've been about Mario Kart World but the Sonic game looks even worse to me. At least there's still Kirby Air Riders soon though.
Re: Review: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (Switch) - Cracking Karting, But Struggles To Keep Up On Switch
I could buy it on Steam if I wanted to play it but every time I see gameplay footage of it, it just doesn't look very fun IMO.
Re: Review: Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Comprehensive Update Of A Classic Series Opener
I've been playing on PC so I can't comment on how it looks/runs on Switch/Switch 2 but I'm about 20 hours in and having a blast so far.
Re: Classic Mech Anime And Tactical Card Combat Collide In 'Battle Chef Brigade' Dev's New RPG
Definitely right up my alley so I'll pick it up if it's good. Battle Chef Brigade was excellent so hopefully this game will be as well.
Re: Review: Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush (Switch 2) - DLC That's Ripe With Fun, But Could've Been More

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 For Switch?
Much like quite a few of the upcoming Switch 2 games, the asking price is more than it's worth to me so I'll pass.

Continuing to read through my third route of Summer Pockets: Reflection Blue and gotten back into Monster Train 2 the last few days after the latest update. I should probably go back to Tevi as well if I can find the time.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Is Getting DLC Featuring Two Different Mega Raichu
@PokeMadness1996 When I say it doesn't look good I'm not just talking about visuals. I'll just save my money altogether and play something better.

Re: The Best Nintendo Switch 2 Games
I still only own two games, one of which was a massive disappointment. Kirby Air Riders can't come soon enough.
Re: The Switch eShop Is Buckling Under The Weight Of Silksong
I'll probably pick it up way down the line when it's like half price or something.
