Re: Where To Pre-Order Nintendo Switch 2

BaldB3lper78

@Dazza and anyone else, I’ve had my invite for Amazon but why are they also wanting payment in full for a pre order? Does anyone know? Amazon are hard to contact. Seems so wrong. Surely it should be payment on dispatch or a deposit??

I need time to put the money aside!

So frustrated

Re: Nintendo Delays Switch 2 Pre-Orders In The US Amidst New Trump Tariffs

BaldB3lper78

Despite feeling somewhat smug and able to now say to Trump fans that ‘we told you so’, this could actually be devastating for Nintendo in the USA. I actually don’t think it will just be the pre orders. I can see the prices going up to over 600 dollars.

This isn’t going away and it’s much bigger than anyone realises. Much bigger and much worse.

Re: "DROP THE PRICE!!!" Scream Nintendo Fans During Nintendo's Treehouse Live Broadcast

BaldB3lper78

@msvt This isn’t even close to Wii U. Not close. The Wii U was poorly marketed and it was never clear what the difference was between it and the Wii.

It is hugely clear, almost painfully clear that the Switch 2 is a sequel. Watching the Treehouse Direct today, it’s clear this is a significant step up, and whilst nobody expects OG Switch sales figures be beaten by Switch 2, this is nothing like the Wii U.

Re: "Don't Let Nintendo Ruin The Entire Industry" - Is $80 For Mario Kart World A Bridge Too Far?

BaldB3lper78

£75 is extortionate and to pay that for Mario Jamboree….??? They are having a laugh surely? I think Nintendo may have totally mis read the room on this and I’m trying to think how I justify the day one purchase that I will hopefully make because I’m not sure I can build a library like that I have on my OG Switch at those game prices.

It’s certainly making me have second thoughts.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Price Has Been Confirmed

BaldB3lper78

I get the console price itself, but the game prices are a real kick in the teeth tbh. Especially when many won’t even be physical games but just code on box rubbish.

Essentially, what I am feeling is that we have a better Switch that will play a load of last gen games that most people already own. I wouldn’t pay £75 to play Elden Ring when I already have it on another console.

Nintendo games will always be the major selling point but I do think the third party line up is just like gaming dihorrea and can see us getting inferior quality as we will get PS5 titles at PS4 version quality and we already know there is a huge difference between in many cases.

Right now, I’m not seeing Switch 2 having the same mass appeal as the original.

Re: Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle Will Be A "Limited Time" Offer

BaldB3lper78

I can’t believe the price of the games. It’s ridiculous and charging for a demo game? Astrobot was free and a darn good amount of game as well. Typical Nintendo.

MKWorld looks awesome as does Kirby, but overall, it did feel like the whole Direct was about regurgitated games that most people will already own. Asking them to pay £75 for another copy is madness but I’m sure many will.

I don’t know, but it doesn’t feel like Switch 2 is a huge move forward but rather just becoming a gen machine. Not sure it will live as long as Switch One.

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct?

BaldB3lper78

I thought overall it was very good and nice to see Nintendo give a better breakdown of specs for a change.
Some great games , although a lot of the 3rd party titles might be a hard sell for a double dip at those prices.

Mario Kart World looks brilliant and can’t wait to get some Air Riders action once again.

Solid direct over all - main disappointments for me were no new FZ Zero game and would have still liked to see console priced slightly lower but hey ho.

Still 9/10 and now the clock ticks on pre orders - am sure scalpers will be selling soon enough!

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch 2 To Launch In June With 3-Phase Software Plan

BaldB3lper78

Switch 2 never needed to and never will need to re write the rule book.
I can’t wait for it.

I would be surprised if we don’t see a good handful of 3rd party games announced very early on though, even in the hours following the direct itself.

The he likes of Madden, NHL, FC for certain. Hades II , Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones are all games I fully expect to see announced very quickly.

Re: Talking Point: What We Expect From The Switch 2 Direct

BaldB3lper78

If we don’t get a release date and price , I would be really disappointed. If it’s later than June, I would also be disappointed.

That aside, I just want to see what the new features are and games that might utilise them.

Also games, games and more games! Would love to see MK9 but also the likes of NHL, Madden also confirmed as can’t wait to take them on the go on Nintendo Switch 2

Re: Xbox Head "Excited" About Switch 2 And Multiplatform Releases

BaldB3lper78

I’d be really interested to see if Xbox would bring Game Pass to Switch 2. For me, it would make a lot of sense. A hugely captive audience although some may say they didn’t want to sub to Switch Online and Game Pass. That said, many like me do already.
It would be a hugely bold move from Xbox. Nintendo would have nothing to lose and even a bigger user base to gain.
It’s been rumoured before I know, but would be a huge advantage to Nintendo.

Either way - am hoping to see Indy and Forza on Switch. That would be a brilliant!
