Re: The US Suffered Its Worst November Since 1995 In Terms Of Hardware Sales

BaldB3lper78

@Omarzy This is nothing like the Wii U. It’s clear that this a sequel console. It’s 6 months old. You sound like the Switch 2 has been on sale for years .
Nintendo were always going to play things safe with the Switch 2 because of the original switch user base - that’s why we are seeing upgrades a lot of the time - this isn’t different to what PlayStation did with the PS4 to PS5 initially - for 18 months to 2 years at least.
6 months in and over 10 million sales being called a failure is utterly bonkers.

The Switch didn’t hit its stride until 2 and a half years!!!!!!

There is some serious trolling going on here that lacks intelligence and knowledge .

Re: The Game Awards GOTY For 2025 Is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

BaldB3lper78

Clair 100% deserves all of the accolade, it really does. I’m playing through it at the minute and it’s a truly superb game. Would be easily portable to Switch 2 as well so hope we see that soon.

Overall though, in terms of game reveals and Switch 2, I’ve come away very disappointed. Was hoping to hear much more about new games and the likes of Forza, NHL getting Switch 2 releases in 2026. Felt like a lot of games were announced and a hell if a lot of them aren’t coming to Switch 2.

Re: Japanese Charts: Sorry Samus, Octopath Is The Best-Selling New Release This Week

@The_Nintendo_Expat How is the Switch 2 a bad thing? When PS5 came out, it had remasters and upgrades galore and there was none of this at all.
Switch 2 is what people asked for - a more powerful Switch and that is exactly what it is.

It’s 6 months and they have taken a safe approach because they know they have such a massive OG Switch user base.

I’m not sure what is bad?

Re: The Game Awards 2025: Time, Date & How To Watch

BaldB3lper78

I’m just so glad that I can pop here tomorrow for all the news and not have to watch that stain on gaming that is Keighley. How he gets money for his bias and bull 💩 is astounding.

Hopefully we will get some exciting Switch 2 news to wake up to!

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

BaldB3lper78

An absolute 10/10 on Switch 2. Visually it is stunning and runs so well both docked and undocked. I get that some don’t like some of the handholding but that’s a very 1st party Nintendo IP anyway so it’s nothing new.
It gets the heart racing at times and I disagree about the bike levels - I’m loving roaring round on the bike then diving off again to explore and mash some more baddies. Let’s get Samus on her bike in Mario Kart World eh Nintendo?

And the soundtrack! Now that is beyond a 10/10 it really is sensational!! Deffo one for a vinyl release and orchestral performance.

Switch 2 is 6 months old and personally, I feel we are doing really well.

I just hope it’s not another 8 years before we see Samus again.

Re: Talking Point: Six Months Since Launch, How Would You Rate Switch 2?

BaldB3lper78

Here are my thoughts on the evolution of a console which I feel has started well and much of the negativity toward it is done for click.

What’s most exciting is how young the Switch 2 still is. At just six months old, it’s already sold over 10 million units and is considered a major success story for Nintendo. Developers now have a stable, powerful platform to build on, and Nintendo’s track record suggests the best is yet to come.

The original Switch didn’t hit its stride until 3 years into its life and If history repeats — and all signs suggest it will — the Switch 2’s future catalogue will only get richer, more ambitious, and more technically impressive.

Six months in, the Nintendo Switch 2 feels like a console with momentum. It launched strong, it’s improving quickly, and it’s already delivering experiences that justify the upgrade. The hardware is more powerful than some give it credit for, the games are fun, and the potential is enormous.

If this is where the Switch 2 stands at half a year old, imagine where it’ll be in another six months — or another six years. Nintendo has built a foundation that’s only going to get better.

Re: Digital Foundry Delivers A Tech Analysis Of Assassin's Creed Shadows On Switch 2

Great to read and it really is impressive but I don’t get this whole idea of it being ‘impossible.’ It’s not. It just needs developers to do their jobs and optimise games for the hardware. There are no excuses for poor ports other than laziness.
We should be able to see Forza, Indy, many more games ported without their being an excuse for poor quality, Of course there will be compromises for a less powerful device but Switch 2 can handle plenty of these games as long as devs take care and time - which is literally their job!
