Re: Reggie Is "Surprised" We Haven't Seen More Xbox Titles On Switch 2

BaldB3lper78

I must admit that I thought we would have seen more from Xbox but then again, we still have the issue of 3rd party games not selling that well on Switch 2, so it could be that Xbox are thinking it’s not worth putting games on Switch 1 for the sake of it.
With the games they are putting on PS5 , they know they will sell in big numbers and that has already been seen.

Will be interfering to see how Indiana Jones sells next year.

Personally, I was hoping that we would have seen Forza announced and Halo at the very least already and the fact we haven’t even heard a whisper of COD suggests to me that those games possibly won’t come at all.

Re: Opinion: Animal Crossing On Switch 2 Has Me Equal Parts Buzzing And Baffled

I agree with this view a lot. Excited , yes. But also a little baffled. And maybe even a little bit concerned.
Because I do worry that Nintendo Switch 2 editions are a little too easy and rather than bringing new games to us, we are being fobbed off with upgrades and little else:

I love my Switch 2 - it’s more powerful than many give credit for and it’s early days, but I do have a nagging feeling we are being played a little as well.

Re: Microsoft On Its Gaming Business Going Forward: "We Want To Be Everywhere"

The next ‘Xbox’ will be a PC with an Xbox sticker on it. Just like the Xbox Rog Ally X. Sarah Bond was pretty clear that the next gen for them is being dictated by the new handheld device.
And it makes total sense. Console wise, there is little point them driving a dark alley again. But they can still focus on niche , higher end products.

In terms of being on every platform, of course they are going to say that’s good for everyone because when you become a 3rd party publisher with that much investment, that’s clearly what you will want.

They try and make it sound like it’s a decision taken for the greater good of gaming , but it’s be clear here, it’s a decision taken because of the disastrous management of Xbox for the past ten years. That’s the reality.

Re: "Go Tell Nintendo" - Ex-Blizzard President Responds After Xbox Calls Exclusives "Antiquated"

BaldB3lper78

@axelhander Not at all. If you have every game on every console, you kill competition and that’s bad in my opinion.
I see no reason why Nintendo should put their own IP onto PS5 or Xbox. None at all.
Yes, money is tight for everyone, but we can choose why we play on. I want to play Nintendo games on a Nintendo system.
Plenty of games are multi platform and there is plenty to around, but would you want every TV show on every TV channel? That would kill competition.

The only reason that Xbox are pushing this narrative is because of their own failures in the last few years. They aren’t going multi platform from the goodness of their own hearts. They are doing it because their failed strategies have left them with no choice but to follow that pathway.

That doesn’t mean everyone else should do so if exclusives are still working for them.

Re: "Go Tell Nintendo" - Ex-Blizzard President Responds After Xbox Calls Exclusives "Antiquated"

Nintendo will continue to make exclusives. They value their IP. And they know the value of them. They are still knocking out incredible exclusives and even more will come over the life of the Switch 2 which will likely be 7 to 8 years.

Exclusives are NOT at all antiquated , Xbox itself is antiquated through mixed messaging, lack of care over its own IP and is trying to push a false narrative that exclusives are bad for the consumer. That is utter nonsense and only shows that Xbox is lost.

Re: Switch 2 Named One Of The Best 'Entertainment & Gaming' Inventions Of 2025

BaldB3lper78

I really don’t know what anyone did actually expect with the Switch 2. Some kind of massive leap? That was never going to happen - anyone who thought that really was just hoping for an alternate reality.
Some may say they’ve played it safe - so what if they have? I wanted more of the same but better and that is exactly what we have got!
The leap between ‘generations’ will be smaller now. I hate the term next gen. It’s pointless nowadays.

Nintendo have created a powerful enough handheld for a price that is affordable compared to handheld gaming PC.

Xbox Ally X will sell what - £1 million in its lifetime if it’s lucky. If I want to play Xbox these days, I’ll use my Xbox IPad Pro!

Nintendo Switch 2 is brilliant and will get better. After 4 months, some people’s expectancies are literally pie in the sky.

Re: Random: KUUKIYOMI 4: Consider It's Switch 2 Edition Uses Mouse Mode In Neat Ways While Poking Fun At Nintendo

BaldB3lper78

@PJOReilly Just and FYI on this so others don’t make same mistake I did! I bought the game on UK store but on there, it doesn’t have the Switch 2 edition or an upgrade options. That only seems to work on the USA store which is a bugger because now I can’t download the bits I really wanted to play with the mouse controls. So be careful folks. Thankfully it’s a cheap game but even so. 😢

Re: Site News: So, Where's Our Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Review?

BaldB3lper78

I’ve not bought the S1 version but my mate has and I’ve played it a good few times with him.
It’s a decent racer and I will certainly pick it up but it’s is a bit grim visually and performance wise on the original Switch.
That said, if you haven’t yet got a Switch 2, I reckon you will really enjoy it on the original Switch. It’s just once you’ve played on Switch 2, going back to Switch 1 is a tough ask on the old eyeballs.
