Sounds like some great games coming and am hoping more devs do make more use of the mouse mode because the controls are really good and it would be a shame to see the function left to be a case of what could have been.

Why in earth in 2025 are we not at a point wheee charts show ALL sales of a game. Why is there this idiotic idea that we need to split how much was physical and how much was digital. Let’s just see how well a game has sold period.

I am loving this game. It’s absolutely fabulous. Brilliant in pretty much every way! If they bundle this with Switch 2 they will sell even more consoles very quickly!

This will bomb on Switch 2 being on key card. Will do better on OG Switch. What are Nintendo thinking with these key cards?

As it should be. I can’t help feeling that Nintendo have made a huge error with game key cards

I bought one but the lock on the clip broke within days. Its fiddly and easily breaks sadly. Usually love their stuff but was hugely disappointed this time around.

If I listened to everything that Digital Foundry said, I would never play any games. They get paid to just be boring, antagonistic and to be honest , spoil peoples fun.

Nintendo really need to sort this out and it should never have happened at all! It’s just inexcusable it really is. A total lack of care when producing the console.

@Yosher Wipeout came to the N64 as Wipeout 64 but wasn’t really as polished as the PS versions

@Yosher It’s brilliant. Should sell better than it does. Fusion is up there with Wipeout it’s that good. IMHO

I do like this game but not exactly excited about Switch 2 enhancements on a game like this

I wasn’t expecting anything from this game at all and unsurprisingly it delivers nothing at all as well

I am still of the opinion that this is the best game on Switch 2 so far in terms of a demonstration of exactly what the system can do.

So fast, so slick and I’ve not had any performance issues at all.

Everything they do is of the highest quality. Paul Murphy who is behind all of this is a veteran of these things and worked on Nintendo mags back in the day.
Digital is fine but having a physical magazine is still special to me. It’s for collectors 100% but well worth backing.

Can’t wait to get my issue when it releases. Switch Player , Ninty Fresh and the trial Ninsight were all superb and I have all the issues at home!

I’m happy mostly. I still feel a little like I’m only being given a small taster of what the machine can do so far and don’t really want to be hit with 5 and 6 year old remasters for crazy prices if I’m being honest .

But I’m loving MKW and especially Fast Fusion which deserves far more love that it’s getting overall. One of the best arcade racers in a long time.

I kind of feel happy but also a little underwhelmed so far but am sure that will change in time.

Why have Nintendo made so much so confusing with Switch 2? Why?

There should not be thousands of people waking up tomorrow with no jobs. There should be 3 people waking up tomorrow without jobs - Matt Booty, Sarah Bond and the abhorrent Phil Spencer.

I’ve cancelled my GPU sub and Xbox is now gone for me. They are a disgrace. An utter disgrace.

I can see 3rd parties leaving Switch 2 very quickly. Key cards won’t help and 3rd party games don’t do that well anyway on Nintendo hardware

I am assuming this means ‘60fps’

Are we getting any new games on switch 2 or is everyone just doing free upgrades? Kind of feels like it right now

I wonder if 3rd parties will start avoiding Switch 2 quickly with early sales being so poor?

This has to be one of the most disappointing launches in terms of games I’ve known for a long time.

It’s just all Switch 2 editions which are not new games. Upgrades and remasters sort of.

The new Donkey Kong game looks cool but I feel that this is such a slow start.

I don’t want to just have games that I’ve played 5 years ago already and have to pay top price for them.

The system sales are already amazing but I can’t help feeling underwhelmed right now with Switch 2.

@SwitchVogel I’ve been playing Undertale as well and now this and wow. What incredibly immersive and gripping games. Just goes to show that you don’t need super realistic graphics - what you always need is brilliant gameplay!

It’s interesting to see the sales %’s and 3rd party games doing pretty well…..

@mad_and if they had gone with OLED at start, price would have been nearer to 600 pounds which would have been prohibitive. It’s annoying but I’m happy with the screen and will just part exchange for the OLED in a few years.

@wizzgamer I am with you on this. It’s great and I’m enjoying it but other than MKW am playing original Switch games. That’s fine as I have a crazy backlog but there isn’t anything making me go ‘wow’ with it right now. It feels like a very slow start. Sales are clearly amazing but we need something ‘more.’

I really don’t know why Xbox even bother with Japan anymore. It really is woeful the sales. Nintendo Switch 2 will dominate Japan no doubt although I am a little concerned at the lack of games so far. I feel that the early signs are that we will see loads of 3rd party games but they are old 3rd party games that most have already played a long time ago.

I am loving the Switch 2 but I do feel I kind of want to see something more soon. Maybe I'm just inpatient

@PJOReilly Hi. Someone else has mentioned that you can use your phone as a camera as well but I don’t see how this would be possible to be honest. Anyone at NL heard of this at all?

@Appleman3546 yeah I’ve heard this on other sites as well but can’t find anything that’s concrete about that.

Game Chat itself is pretty cool but I’m not bothering with a camera. Just can’t see the point tbh.

@Duncanballs Only GAME and from a manager but they say the have had over 750 Switch 2 returned since launch. It’s doesn’t sound a lot at first, but that was not much less than their entire stock at launch day.

Sadly in UK, sales are slowing and units are being returned.

Sadly this is nothing to do with anything but Nintendo being Nintendo and the addition of game key cards is making the sale of 3rd party games worse than ever.

3rd party game sales are not exactly a huge hit on Nintendo systems and nobody in the right mind is going to pay full price for a 6,7 and 8 year old game I’m afraid - well, I say nobody but very few.

Switch 2 will sell numbers of Nintendo IP without doubt as we have already seen but I do think the key cards will make 3rd party games sell even less.

I’d be interested to see if sales increase as rapidly as they have started , but I can see them tailing off quite quickly.

@Olliemar28 many who buy Switch 2 don’t buy it for 3rd party games. Thats always been a factor with Nintendo hardware for as long as I can remember and I’m 46 - although maybe my memory isn’t what it was like.

Also, the key cards are proving to be a disastrous idea from Nintendo. If you speak with people at game stores , they are seeing returns of Switc£h 2 consoles at an ‘alarming’ rate. Only heard this from Game but Nintendo have made a huge mistake by going all digital essentially.

They always will. Not many people buy a Switch 2 for 3rd party games.

I was really unsure about this but it’s phenomenal. In handheld mode it’s actually beautiful. Can’t wait to properly get into it further if I can eventually get away from MKW Knockout and getting battered every day!

Battery life is pants and needs sorting out assp. I’m fine with the LCD screen although when the inevitable OLED does come along, I know I’ll probably upgrade.

I’m loving the Switch 2 overall - MKW is cool
But FAST Fusion is the game that is really showing off what the console can do and can only get better IF devs are willing to put in the work which could be a sticking point.

Another huge win for me is the way original games are looking better - Rocket League looks so much sharper and snappier and that’s got me back into a great game.

Overall - I’m a happy Switch 2 fan. I just hope that we start to see some more originality in games soon and not just another remake and remaster machine like PS5.

This is one of my few concerns about Switch 2 and that is that devs might get lazy and just releases update after update and offer nothing fresh.
That needs keeping on top of because if not, we will ALL get shafted.

I’ve also noticed that Rocket League looks better and smoother on Switch 2 with loading times noticeably quicker. I’ve not seen anything to suggest any upgrades but I’ve noticed a marked difference for the better since diving into it again.

I’m totally fine with it. I think that it’s another case of people finding something else to moan about.

Having had a Series S for a few years , I would say it’s a fair comparison.
