I would much rather a game be delayed and be better when released than what many do these days and push out a game in a poor state and then add patches to try and sort any issues.
Is it frustrating? Yes. But if it means we get the best version possible, I’m fine with it being delayed.
Plenty of other games to be playing anyway!

Mine is pre ordered and looking forward to it. Haven’t played it on either PS or Xbox for some time so the frame rate really won’t be an issue for me at all,
Glad that Chris has reviewed it as it maintains its consistency of reviews and he is one of the best there is.

@Telcontyr console is only 4 months old. 4. PS5 still has games that don’t run well after 5 years.

There seems to be a lot of negative vibes around Switch 2. And I’m not sure why.

I’ll be picking up Galaxy 2. I’ll stick with Galaxy as already got that and don’t think the enhancements justify the cost.

However, let’s all be honest - the pack will be top of the charts very quickly. Nintendo know that, whether we like it or not.

Both Switch and Switch 2 showing strong sales and good market shares for a number of games. Good to see.

I’m sticking with Easy Come Easy Golf. The original devs of the series! No issues at all and latest update means it plays beautifully on Switch 2.

Plenty of stuff I’ll be getting that’s for sure. Some great games to look forward to although it’s fair to say that Nintendo continue to play things very safe with Switch 2 but if it ain’t broke, why fix it I guess.

As for Virtual Boy,,,,,,, why. Just why?

It’s just so Nintendo. There was everyone wanting more Game Cube games or even Dreamcast adding to the service and among come Nintendo with the dumbest addition they could possibly think of that no one wanted.

Collectors will love it though.

Nintendo: “STFU losers, we’re rereleasing our worst console ever made, that’ll be $100.”

I’ll happily pay for Galaxy 2 tbh. It’s one of the best games ever made. So that’s a done deal.
And both will hit the top of the sales charts.

Hoping for some release dates and some surprises as well!
It will never happen, but I would love the ability to launch GEForce Now or Xcloud on Switch 2. If would make the Switch 2 even more appealing to so many.
Won’t happen , I know, but I would love to have that ability and let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be hard to make it happen.

The only think stopping it is Nintendo themselves.

The only issue or rather query I have is that a few games are on here that NL haven’t reviewed. Is that going to be rectified!

I really must get the N64 controller asap. Tried playing with my pro and it was awful. Couldn't seem to remap either. Weird controls

@PJOReilly I do feel that with Switch 2 the focus is more on the handheld side of things for the best way to play. I guess like with handheld PC’s it’s better in handheld than the big screen although this does sound decent and a great review. Glad to hear my fears have been allayed by this.

@RiasGremory with a game like this though, it shouldn't even be an issue of power. Tablets and phones are getting to a point where they can run games better than Switch 2.
Nintendo’s complete reliance on 1st party games always serves them well.

@roy130390 exactly! It should run with no issues on the original Switch. Ridiculous that it doesn't tbh. That it has issues on Switch 2 is dumbfiunding tbh.

@SilverM Fair points. I just feel with better optimisation that some games could run better. Some of it is down to the system of course but a lot is down to laziness from devs, although Nintendo don't help themselves by not wanting 3rd parties to have dev kits and seemingly not that bothered about the Switch 2 that much at all right now.

Still. They know its selling well so maybe they are either not too worried to push it or are just being arrogant. If its the latter, they need to be careful. I am interested to see if the huge sales at the start of the life of Switch 2 will continue post Xmas or tail off badly.

I played the demo of this and it's a brilliant game. I'm holding off buying it through until its fully optimised for Switch 2. Its actually ridiculous that playing it on Switch 2 causes issues at times. Nintendo and devs on all sides need to get together over this because right now, it all seems a very blurry mess with Switch 2 and games.

@BrokenCiv Exactly the same. I may as well have saved another £400 and got a handheld PC tbh. I love Nintendo but they also frustrate the living hell out of me.

So basically the new Nintendo switch is just going to give us inferior ports of loads of games meaning there is little to no point buying them on Switch 2.
I was hoping for a really strong launch from
3rd parties and this far, Cyberpunk aside I’m really disappointed snd frustrated.

I actually thought Xbox would dive in really early - Indiana Jones comes 2026- with the likes of Forza for example.

I genuinely thought Nintendo would push harder to get some of the best 3rd party games over and of a very high quality but it looks like that isn’t going to be the case.
