I’ve played the switch version and now upgraded and ….. wow. Without a doubt that bumps this up to a 9/10 for certain. Looks and performs amazingly in docked but in handheld it shines even more. Sublime game. If you have Switch 2, this is now a must buy.

@Dark-Luigi Be nice to see E33 get a release for Switch 2. Would be perfectly possible on the system.

As always, I will read the news after the event. I stopped watching a few year back because Keighley is so painful to watch. His clear PlayStation bias is cringey to say the least and he always looks so annoyed if it’s not a PS game that wins.
I don’t even know why he is still doing the show as he’s irrelevant but gets wheeled out each year to massage his own ego.

I’ve given a good go but I just can’t get on with it tbh. Apart from anything else, the mouse controls make my wrists hurt after ten minutes. It’s a decent concept but overall, it should be a demo game and nothing more.

Sadly Nintendo doesn’t do that well in the UK with its other IP’s. Shame that Kirby isn’t there at all as it’s an amazing game it really is.

You’ve reviewed it so surely you would have played more than 12 minutes! Either way, I’ve played it snd it’s brilliant

Switch 2 is more powerful than many think and despite certain concessions, these are no different to what are made on handheld gaming PC’s and for less than half the price mostly!

@Friendly It’s a brilliant game it really is. I hope it does sell better worldwide and not just in Japan because it’s so, so good.

Nintendo continue to dominate Japan and it’s unlikely that will change anytime soon. Good results for PS5 digital though and shows that Sony are happy to do well hanging on to Nintendo’s coat tails .
Glad to see Air Riders flying in Japan. Amazing game.

Who on to God’s Earth in gaming plays a game that plays as well as this does on Switch 2, and whilst doing so, thinks ‘oh no! Her hair doesn’t look as shiny or detailed as on other systems’?

It plays really well. It looks really good. Who cares what her chuffing hair looks like? It makes me really want to pull my hair out and I’m chuffing bald.

@N8tiveT3ch They are just too sensitive and the trigger settings are bizarre but I hope for Metroid Prime 4 they are really spot on.

@N8tiveT3ch Have used gyro aiming and never liked it at all. Not for me. The mouse controls are actually really good but only if you alter the sensitivity settings as otherwise they are a bit twitchy!

@maulinks It’s not at PS3 levels all! There are a few minor concessions from the PS4 version but other than that it’s so good. I agree that they did a Switch 1 port first and then added the Switch 2 so it could maybe have a bit more, but undocked in particular it plays really well, looks great and is so smooth.
Comparable to versions on Steam Deck and that should be the benchmark rather than anything else.

Why on earth any game on Switch 2 is being compared to PS5 is beyond me.

It’s all about opinions of course but I think the PS3 comparison is very harsh indeed.

I think it’s a really solid port and in handheld looks and performs superbly well. Am loving playing it again and taking it on the go. A few issues I agree but for less than £15 I think it’s a no brainer!

A perfect ten from me. This is an absolute masterpiece. From the way the game looks and runs to the superb soundtrack , this is one of my fave games of the year.
It’s got so much depth and the top down mode is just genius.
It’s a shame that it likely won’t sell as well as some Nintendo IP’s, but I genuinely think this is one of the best they have given us for a while.
It made, it’s chaotic, it’s tough and it’s just simply Nintendo at its very finest.

For anyone who thinks Nintendo is struggling with Switch 2, get a grip of your bananas because after just 6 months , this console is going to break records time and time again. Just imagine what can be done once people get the hang of it fully!!!

So many great games but if Clair Obscur didn’t win, I would be amazed. It deserves to win and by some distance.

@IceClimbersMain Switch 2 has more 3rd party titles released and confirmed than any other previous Nintendo console so I’m not sure how you make that out tbh.

I must admit that I thought we would have seen more from Xbox but then again, we still have the issue of 3rd party games not selling that well on Switch 2, so it could be that Xbox are thinking it’s not worth putting games on Switch 1 for the sake of it.
With the games they are putting on PS5 , they know they will sell in big numbers and that has already been seen.

Will be interfering to see how Indiana Jones sells next year.

Personally, I was hoping that we would have seen Forza announced and Halo at the very least already and the fact we haven’t even heard a whisper of COD suggests to me that those games possibly won’t come at all.

It’s not really a Nintendo decision is it. It’s the Pokemon Company. It will sell anyway in Japan so no one there will give many hoots about this.
