I'm so sick and tired of the E33 hate. Winning Game of the Year and getting a lot of praise does not equal that you personally have to like it. And I just know most of the commenters on this Nintendo forum don't even play on other platforms, thus they haven't played the game and their opinion means absolutely nothing. You're just being contrarian.

@Galaxy2IsTheGOAT Nintendo will only win Best Family because they haven't released anything substantial beside Bananza this year (and that's okay). All the other releases have had 78-81 metacritic scores, and there's too many great contenders in the goty category for Bananza to sweep that one.

@JimJustJim Those manuals look gorgeous, but the guy is on very thin ice, considering he's manufacturing and selling unofficial products with the Nintendo Switch logo on them.

@AnonyQ what games rely "solely on mouse mode"? This is the only one and it's marketed as such. I don't think anyone buying a Switch 2 Lite in 2028 will be missing this game.

No one said the thing they showed is a real Switch, it's a mockup 3d print. So of course it's not "official". But it's pretty much confirmed that the Switch 2 will have these measurements etc

Can't get into Donkey Kong and its weird difficulty, so no I won't be getting this.

Love that they're doing this but hate that they're doing it the Nintendo way. Where is the variety? Why drip feed the music like the nso games?

I don't see any need for discussion here. If you enter a space, follow the rules, it's not that difficult.

It's a shame this didn't get a remake. I loved the whackiness and design of the original, but it was very clunky.

I enjoyed the Switch demo so this review makes me quite happy! I agree that the game feels a bit "lifeless" without some voice acting, but at the end of the day this is a gameplay-focused title. MARSUPILAMI - HOOBADVENTURE for example felt really similar to this!

Maybe it's just me, but 5% discounts seem kind of insulting.

At first I thought this was a sequel to Slayaway Camp, since the soundtrack in the trailer sounds like it was taken directly from that game.

@TKundNobody Framerate changes do affect people's gaming experience, though. Personally I'm not bothered by a steady 30fps, like in Paper Mario TTYD, it's the dipping of the framerate that happens in these Zelda titles that gives me a physical strain in the eyes.

I was surprised at the stutter right in front of Hyrule Castle at the start, surely that patch didn't fix anything yet. But apart from that, yeah, it's lovely!

@Cashews I played through it twice because it was so much fun. Those games had their flaws but they weren't stinkers at all, especially this one.

@bozz you could say the same thing about a lot of genres. I feel like there's a new roguelike dungeon crawler coming out every week, for example. Also a lot of these cozy indie farming games are not even that polished, and if you look deeper you'll find that most of them are skippable anyways.

I personally don't really mind spoilers for this particular title, because the last thing I care about in a 100 hour game is the bare boned story.

That being said, I hate that people can't keep these things to themselves. Why force people into seeing things on their social media feeds that they'd rather experience fresh and in the intended order?

Both games were actually really fun to play back in the day. Now, whether they aged that well I'm not sure, but you should keep an open mind.

I agree with Big Blue. Game trials should be exclusive demos for games that don't have a demo. If I like a demo, I will buy the game anyways.

Let's be real, who really cares about titles like this? It took me years to even realize there was another Steamworld game before Dig. People who really want to play it will still find a way.

The problem isn't really developing for a Nintendo console, it's developing exclusively.

@arabiansanchez What qualifies for a full price tag though? I mean I would welcome it if games and especially Nintendo games were cheaper in general, but why does this game get singled out so much? I just played Kirby and the Forgotten Land and while it took around 25 hours to 100%, the story itself is quite short. However, it was still an amazing experience to complete it.

We don't know how long it is, we don't know what the replay value is going to be, we don't even know about extra content. I feel like people see the style and immediately associate it with "small indie title".

I'm confused by all this complaining. This is a mainline Zelda game we're talking about. I'm not even a Zelda fan myself, but BotW alone is considered a masterpiece or at least an extremely good title by a lot of Nintendo gamers, and on top of that it has so much content.

I don't understand why Kirby Star Allies or Mario Golf are full priced games, but to complain about an additional $10 for TotK seems a bit overdramatic to me.

@Yanina The Doraemon SoS is beautiful but waaaay too grindy, even for a farming game. The new one is said to have improved a lot on that front, so I might still get that.

If it's good I'll buy it used. Potter games have been more miss than hit in recent installments though.

JK already got the money before the game even started being developed and she's a multimillionaire anyways.

Something about these titles makes me very hesitant to play them. I think it's the fact that they seem very "on the nose" cheesy and forced sentimental.

The amount of people who think it's inappropriate to play a game like Bayonetta in public worries me.

@TopazLink in the first game, before you select a chapter, you press the R button (I think), and then a menu pops up to change costumes, difficulty etc. From the start, you can always choose between Normal, Easy and Very Easy, then after beating each chapter on Normal you will unlock Hard difficulty.

@TopazLink I don't remember a difference between the first two titles? Haven't played in a while but I'm pretty sure you can change the difficulty for each level in the menu and you unlock higher difficulties after you beat it on a lower one.

These kinds of titles should be released both as purchasable items on the eShop and as part of the expansion pack library.

Otherwise someone will always be unhappy.
