I think 3DS games are largely still accessible. I want Nintendo to make their older back catalogue available, so Ds over 3ds. Wii U I think is different, its just not got the userbase and the games are good and deserve a second chance.

That said, as I mentioned on the Wii U article. I really want to have one console where I can play all the Mario/metroid/final fantasy/etc series. Port them all!

I agree Nintendo should hire a small studio to port some of these games while they focus on new stuff.

Definitely want Tokyo mirage sessions, but would also love to see the Zelda back catalogue make its way there (still need to play skyward sword!) And maybe the paper Mario series ported.

I think there's a huge opportunity for Nintendo (actually, squeenix, konami, sega and capcom also) for re-releasing old games still, they just need a schedule to follow

I'm hoping Atlus see that people want Persona 5 on Switch. In fact I'd love a Persona collection! Including the spin offs as well

Problem with this is I plan to crack open the Wii u for winter (less sunshine interfering with my wiimote) and play this. Not going to re-invest if it comes out shortly after that!

I still look at these and think it's a wasted opportunity.
Give them a connection to the eshop and gradually release more games for them. Do what Sony did with PS1 classics and make a purchase playable on switch as well and you have mega bucks coming in.
Do it in conjunction with the online service so give people an opportunity to own games as well

I was lucky to play this the other day and it is indeed great. I would say 7.5 out of 10.

My main critique is that the boards are a little small. I miss the sprawling ones of 5 and 6. That said they do suit shorter play times and I just don't have time to play much longer than an hour (10 rounds) anymore

I'm starting to get this more but I'm still disappointed it's not the mobile release which had the extra characters and special stage... Pull that in as well and I'll definitely buy

I have had PlayStation plus for the last 7 years so have a massive backlog of games.

I try to do a one in, one out rule but almost always fail. I've also tried not to buy too many switch games as I want to "finish" the Wii u.

I do agree though, I used to play games over and over but now I complete once and move on, even if there are multiple endings. It's a shame. Been playing Shenmue and I'm struggling with the feeling of wasting time, despite the fact that was something I loved about it first time around

I wonder whether the sonic 2 version will be the original or the mobile port that had additional features? Hoping for the additional features personally but unlikely if it's M2.

@Spectra yeah I hope they make this more accessible too. So horrible playing with 1 other person or single player. Always wanted to play but none of my mates were interested in gaming at the time!

I recently started playing Bravely default. Loving it so far! Still on chapter one so still a ways to go!

So I've tried this game 3 times on PS3... I really want to like it but I lose interest...

Should I try again on switch? I feel portable mode might help me (it usually does with other jrpgs)

I said this with the Wii game. It's madness they don't just release dlc every 4 or 6 months. Just a pack of 4 tracks would work and people would lap it up (pun not intended!)

See I think this is classic Nintendo. Some of their brands they push out the best quality, but many of the others are just filler. They never think customer first, always what they want to put out.

The success of "games as a service" means we'll see more of this I think

Isn't this illegal in EU law? I'm sure there was a big case a couple years ago about 2nd hand games? Could be wrong though.

Does this mean there's a potential risk to the region free functionality as well?

When they start adding SNES games I'm in. Before that nah. Nes doesn't cut it. That said most of the SNES games I love are by other publishers, so maybe it's n64/gc

I honestly just want the game to be good! The last few were so disappointing, trying to change the formula too much. Go back to Mario party 5/6 and they are still so great!

If I were squenix I would be releasing ports alongside this. Let's get all the old FF games on switch, the mana collection, as well as some of their lesser played series like Saga.

I have mixed opinions.

Personally I think this gives publishers great opportunity to improve classics - frame rate, glitches etc. But there is also the risk of a shoddy port... I don't think the VC name needs to continue, just give them somewhere that makes sense to live on the eshop

I have much fonder memories of Saturn, but I think that would be a commercial flop again.

I wish Sega would give more love to their Saturn and Dreamcast classics but I get they are just too unknown. Not viable businesswise

I said this with the Wii u and I'll say it for the switch. Publishers need to be careful of porting old or inferior versions of games. I can see lots of requests for tomb raider and batman arkham, but most people who will want to have played those games will already have them. It's got to be a good reason to rebuy. LA noire is a good example. Skyrim is iffy. Doom I imagine it hadn't hit sales potential before being announced.

That said my top ports I want on switch are:
Persona 5 (and 4 ultimax - don't understand why it wasn't on vita!)
Mario Sunshine
Mother 3
Tales of (back catalogue stuff or the ps4 games)
MGS twin snakes

A part of me would like to see squenix port the final fantasy back catalogue so the whole series is playable on one console but i know it's unlikely and I'm also unlikely to rebuy many of them if any - especially new sprite versions!

I think Nintendo are missing a trick.

They do have a history of charging premiums for content Vs other publishers (Mario run?) And could do with just pushing that cost down slightly. The €30 xenoblade dlc is in line with other similar games I think, though it does put me off playing until it's "finished".

Where I want Nintendo to do more is games it makes sense. We're unlikely to get Mario kart 9 on switch so let's have regular dlc tracks for it - every 6 months 2-4 cups, doesn't even have to be new, could be retro tracks. I'd buy every time. They could do something similar for smash Bros but I do think that has a life span on dlc.

With regards to amiibo - personally I think the content needs to be exclusive otherwise I won't buy it. Though I'd be interested to see what would happen if they opened up that content as dlc as well, what would sell better...

I'd love a Tales of collection - there's a lot of games stuck in Japan, plus I haven't gotten to zestiria or berseria yet so would prefer a switch version!

I'd also be up for a Digimon game, and I'd Def buy Ni no kuni on switch over ps4 if the performance is good.

However I expect another dbz fighter. Meh. Dbz rpgs I enjoy though!

If they rereleases shining force 3 I would buy immediately. I desperately want a way to play these games on the go. I must have completed scenario 1 twenty times!

Shining force 4 would be amazing as well, possibly the only way to get interest up for a re-release
