Re: A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch Bundle Has Just Sold On eBay For Over $1,000

@Latinomex01 i asume from your handle that you might be Mexican. Well I am too, and I should say that our stupid people are certainly worse than American stupid people. The proof is simple, they are a first world country and we are not. So that pretty much shows that their baseline is definitely higher

It is that lack of humility that doesn't let us accept our own problems and work to correct them. Please don't be this ignorant.

Re: Sales Of Hyrule Warriors On Switch Exceeded Koei Tecmo's Expectations

My problem with ports is that they feel like padding of the library. I get the excuse that since the Wii U failed, a lot of people haven't played them. But still, why no try to make new games first. You a have the game engine, bring a sequel to Switch or st least announce it like when we got Bayonetta 2 on Wii U and they released it alongside a port of the original.

Re: Soapbox: Why Do We Want More Games When We've Already Got Too Many?

I was having the time of my life patiently going through God of War, and then Spiderman came out and I started to obsess with getting it. And suddenly I realized I didn't need to. And Red Dead Redemption 2 is right around the corner.

However, this very line of thinking has me wondering if I should sell both my Switch and my Wii U. I have backlog on both, and I don't know if I'll ever get around to it.

I don't take the Switch out much, I like gaming at home. And when I do game outside is usually with my 3DS. But is tough to think that I will miss Fire Emblem 3 Houses and Metroid Prime 4. Which are the only 2 Nintendo games I'm looking forward to.

I don't know, mam, but you make a good point. I'll try to go through my entire backlog before I move forward and that's rhat.

I love my 3DS, it is my office console. I will buy any new game they release: Luigi's Mansion, Kirby's extra Epic Yarn and this seem like perfect choices for the veteran console. Nintendo surely knows how to give love to a successful console.

And for al those this-should-be-on-switch people, bear in mind that the Switch will probably receive this much love in its twilight years as well.

@Ryu_Niiyama "do you feel that any non modern/natively made for the system games fall into the shovelware category?"

Sure thing. Mostly indie titles are starting to feel shovelwary (some). The download-only landscape is full of them... However, I think the PS4 has more shovelware than the Switch right now.

Senran Kagura Reflex comes to mind as recent shovelware.

Maybe the shovelware has evolved since the Wii days, when it was more obvious, but I'm talking about games than feel like padding for an arguably poor line-up. Like those tabletop card games, which some people may love, but they look cheap and dull to me and not very "Direct Worthy" if that means anything. Or even this one to be honest, although from all the comments I'm getting, I'm already inclined to try it when it comes out. I was in college during the PS2 and Gamecube gen so I missed out on a lot of games from that era.

"I would assume that means that you don't play games that are primarily skill based (racers, fighting games etc)"

You assume correctly with the exception of Mario Kart, F-Zero, Mortal Kombat and Smash.

"Although to be honest most of the games that are lauded for their story can often be stripped down to a basic a to b underlying mechanic"

Agreed. I need balance and high stakes decision making in a game of that sort. I can bare two button mechanics for a mind blowing interactive stories.

Re: Katamari Damacy Is Rolling Onto The Nintendo Switch This Winter

@Ryu_Niiyama I don't mind being misunderstood. A PS2 port seems like shovelware to me. Ports are very high quantity and arguably low quality on the Switch.

Adult means many things, not just sex and violence. It is also themes. Like The Last of Us or Read Dead Redemption or the Latest God of War... they do have sex and violence, but they are not about that, they touch on many layered themes in a very adult fashion.

This kiddiy games, to me, are not just about pastel colors, but are also very "rescue the princess". And that gets old fast. So everything feels too simple all the time. The better ones have great gameplay and I'm down for that, but all in all, I need games to appeal to more adult aspects of my mind.

@rjejr like the DC Universe hahahahaha... awesome.

I own a PS4, i do like more mature looking games. I love me some Mario, Luigi's Masion, Kirby games and tons of other kiddy stuff.. It just sometimes is too much.

Some people do get very sensitive about their game taste around here though, which is fine.

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th September (North America)

Al_Godoy

I've spent a dime this year on games, and most of them are just backlog. And after Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out, everything else will be backlog.

I'm kind of grateful that most Switch releases this year are not my thing. The PS4 is having a hell a of a 2018 and my wallet won't stand two consoles having stellar years. (For my taste, no disrespect)
