Last week, Capcom released a Mega Man 11 demo on the eShop to give us a taste of the new entry in the series. With the game due out on the Switch on 2nd October, the latest direct has today revealed an exclusive feature for the Nintendo version of the game.
You will be able to unlock helpful in-game items - such as energy tanks - on a daily basis if you own the existing Mega Man amiibo figure from the Super Smash Bros. series. Were you convinced by the Mega Man 11 demo when you played it? Will you be making use of your Mega Man amiibo in this upcoming release? Tell us in the comments.

Love you Blue Bomber... come to papa.
I just realized the arm cannons on Mega Man and the amiibo are reversed.
Amiibo unlocks E-Tank
[slow clap]
The amiibo edition of Mega Man 11 is exclusive to GameStop, FYI.
Mega Man 11 looks reaaaally good
@Yrreiht The demo IS really good.
Glad to have you back, MegaMan.
Looking good in 3D, and still just as difficult.
I'll be looking into importing a physical edition.
Please please please let the Gold Megaman amiibo unlock gold armor, that would be so SICK
I’ll have the regular Smash Mega Man and the new one... so I can use them both? Should let you use the Ryu amiibo for a special weapon. But ah well. Capcom, you could do more with these, you know that right?
I totally forgot that megaman had an amiibo (or was in smash) and it's settled in plain sight in my amiibo display.
With the new amiibo itself being sold out and the game digital-only in Europe, sorry, but I'm buying it on Xbox One if I buy it.
@jpfan1989 Mega Man is so fun in Smash.
To my frustration, the UK Direct presentation made no mention of the Mega Man 11 amiibo or a physical release.
I'm still looking to import, but haven't figured out where to do that.
Will probably be a US copy of the game from Play-asia and the Japanese amiibo elsewhere, if Play-asia can't provide that.
So... will the new amiibo be US-exclusive? At least I didn't see it in the EU-direct...
Looks like I'll be picking it up for the Switch then.
It would be great if they restock the amiibo, the prices for it are insane.
