Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Fails To Meets Sega's Expectations

@Scoopz your point doesn't stand. Your point doesn't even make sense. Regardless of what sega are complaining about, kart racing games sell best on Nintendo platforms, and the poor quality of the switch version will have impacted sales.
Mk world and Kirby are Nintendo only franchises, which are targeted directly to the target audience of the switch. Even if you put mario kart on the ps5, it would sell better on Nintendo due to the install base of these consoles preferring these sorts of games.
And of course you can compare companies. Having different expectations is entirely the point here. I'm curious as to what you believe a realistic sales target for crossworlda was, because, I repeat, 1 million copies is pretty good.

My point is that just because sonic is over 30 years old, doesn't mean that they are guaranteed to sell a ridiculous amount of copies. Realistic expectations my friend.

@Scoopz I mean, Kirby air riders and mario kart are the big ones. Most people can only afford one to two games and compared to mario kart or other triple a titles that came out last year, sonic was going to struggle to compete. The majority of sales for these titles are on switch, which had terrible graphics compared to other platforms , and the switch 2 version came out much later.

This game was a success and is fun. 1 million copies is a great achievement. Level 5 showed this with fantasy life, and they have celebrated this because they had realistic expectations. But not every game can sell 10 million copies and it is unsustainable to think they can.

Re: Best Rune Factory Games Of All Time

I'm surprised guardians of azuma is number one. Might just be recency bias, as I would rate 3 and 4 above it comfortably. They are all very good games, but guardians of azuma just had so much tutorialisation and bordered on style over substance in areas. Honestly, after 20 hours, I feel completely done with it even with the story only 1/2 finished.
Interesting to see what is popular though

Re: Talking Point: How Can The Next Animal Crossing Improve Crafting?

tanaka2687

Might be controversial, but I'm against QOL and mass-creating features in Animal Crossing. Yes, it would make it easier, but it would also sort of dilute the fun of the game itself. Slowly working your way through the game is the point, and it's the way I have fun with it. If I could grind myself through the game in one go by mass crafting things, buying everything from shops or even through microtransactions, I wouldn't enjoy AC nearly as much. I understand the desire, but I think it works so well for this sort of slow-paced game.

Re: Best Nintendo 64 Platformers - Every N64 3D Platformer, Ranked By You

As someone who never played Banjo Kazooie (or any N64 game) as a child, going back and playing games like Mario 64, DK 64, Goemon (especially Goemon), and Conker are a real treat. But playing Banjo Kazooie just wasn't enjoyable in any way. I won't try and tell anybody they're wrong but it's interesting that Banjo is above Mario?
Won't try and argue that there is big fun to be had here, however. :L

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Direct To Take Place Later This Month

Whenever I hear a '''''leak''''''' like this, I begin hoping that they are wrong with all my being. Leaking and rumour-mongering will always happen but I yearn for a future where these people are ignored and we can all just wait patiently for actual news.
But I am a dreamer.

I mean... Is it just me that is struggling to see anything new about this one in comparison to the old ones. I'm doubting there is much single player stuff to do and considering how disappointed I was with golf and aces, I can't justify picking this up regardless of how much I enjoyed the previous entries. Underwhelming to me but I'm sure other people will find something to enjoy, especially if you haven't played a GameCube or a Wii.
