Re: Creator Of New Checkout Bot Targeting Online Switch Stock Discusses Backlash

@tekknik I'm just saying it looks to me like the intention of creating this bot is much closer to the purpose of buying and reselling Switches for profit than it is to helping a friend or niece like you previously suggested. Which also implies that he knew exactly what this would be used for. To me, setting this free into the world like he did, even without directly using it to resell Switches himself, shows that he wanted to cause a little chaos without having to assume any of the responsibility for it.

@tekknik Actually since his he didn’t sell anything his motive was likely “i want a switch” or “my niece / nephew wants a switch”.

Literally taken from Nintendo Life's earlier article:
I decided to make it as a joke, but I quickly realized just how powerful it could be. Me and my friends were talking about reselling Nintendo Switches, and at one point my friend, nicknamed Bird, told me I should make a bot. And here we are today.

@tekknik So scalping is perfectly fine because people are choosing to pay 300% more than the original price? After all, why should only Nintendo profit from their product? Are you serious? You know who actually benefits from scalping like that? People who actually have the money to horde a bunch of Switches. That takes thousands of dollars to do what some of these people are doing. You know who's actually able to buy them at that ridiculous mark up? Other people with a lot of money who can afford it. You know who doesn't get to buy one at that price? Literally everyone else. This product has now been made unavailable to the average consumer. Choice has nothing to do with it. Rich people will buy what they want. Everyone else gets left in the cold.

Re: Famitsu Reveals New Details About Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

I have to be honest here guys, I actually enjoyed this game more than I did Persona 5. I mean that. While Persona 5 has deeper gameplay mechanics and a much larger story/cast of characters, the pacing tends to slow to a crawl and drag quite a bit. While I wouldn't exactly call TMS's story good, it also doesn't take that story nearly as seriously as P5 and kept it's pacing nice and quick to the point where it never bothered me. Add that brisk pace to a charming cast of characters, oddball and quirky sense of humor, fun and even challenging combat with fairly deep character customization and you really do get a great game here.

Re: "Cute-As-Heck" 3D Platformer A Hat In Time Comes To Switch This October

This is a FANTASTIC game and any fans of 3D platformers, especially Mario Sunshine, really need to pick this up. That being said, I am a bit weary of these developers. I got this game day one for PS4 only to have them immediately drop support for it and not bring any of the DLC, added modes, or difficulty to the PS4 version, only to be told most of it is launching for the Switch version which they originally said would never happen. Now I'm worried the rest of the DLC won't come to the Switch version either

Re: Review: VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action - One Large Cutscene With A Gameplay Chaser

tabris95

This review confuses me. While it is very well written and even as a fan of this game I agree with just about everything, the score just doesn't seem to match up. To someone who enjoys visual novels very occasionally, this reads like an 8. Most of the complaints are pretty minor and hardly detract from the real meat of this game: The writing and ambience. But instead this game was scored for people who don't know what visual novels are. would you do that with FIFA or Madden just for the people who don't have much understanding of football? (see what I did there? Lol) Sports games, shooters, RTS, farm sim games are all rated based on how they perform within their respective genres and yet visual novels are treated like they have no established genre they belong to and are therefore "Barely a videogame" despite having a dedicated fan base from people who enjoy these games to people who even make them. Just to clarify 7 is still a perfectly fine score, just not one I feel reflects it's value in its own genre.

Re: The Lovely Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Art Book Has Been Delayed Due To Unexpected Demand

tabris95

@NintendoFan4Lyf Hahaha! True but I'd like to think that it's got more than THAT kind of appeal going for it. In the original special edition artbook, it mentions somewhere that at first the art director was quite intimidated by the task of compiling such a large art book but half way in he had gotten so many different pieces of art that it actually became much harder to figure out what would be left out. Hopefully between that fact and all the art for Torna The Golden Country, this ends up being a pretty solid follow up to what was already a really great art book

Re: Shoot For The Stars When Everspace Arrives On Nintendo Switch This December

@TheFongz @baller98 This isn't more expensive though. This is the EXACT SAME price as the Stellar Edition released on other platforms. Cheaper for Switch even if you take advantage of that 20% off pre order discount. I mentioned this above but the version that's $10 cheaper on other consoles is only the base version of the game. They still have to pay $40 for the Stellar Edition just like us
