@VoodooTrumpet Suikoden V is soooo good! During the PS3/360/Wii era, I was so unimpressed with the JRPGs of the time, that I had basically fallen out of love with the genre. Suikoden V pretty much single handedly reignited my love for JRPGs.
Just finished it and wow. What a beautiful game. As a huge Makoto Shinkai fan, it really does feel like something he'd make. Don't pass this one up if you're at all interested
@MattAllsopp I'm about halfway through the game with zero knowledge of the other two and so far I'm enjoying it quite a lot. The game does a great job of throwing you into a well realized world without making you feel lost. I've heard that there are some references here and there to the other games, but it hasn't hindered my experience in the slightest
Was afraid of that. It's important to note that the main game is made by a separate studio and the quality of the prequel shouldn't be indicative of the quality to the main game that's still being worked on
I saw this news earlier today and man that really just sucks. I remember reading an interview I believe with the devs behind VA-11 Hall-A, and how Fahmi approached them about their concept for VA-11 Hall-A and potentially using it as his inspiration for what would become Coffee Talk. He always came across as a starry-eyed dreamer to me
Some indies that really deserve a mention in part 2: The Artful Escape No Straight Roads Mutazione Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair Sayonara Wild Hearts Omori
Please do a part 2! So many more games need recognition and exposure!
@Solaine honestly, if you're mentioning Tropical Freeze, I feel like you need to mention Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair as well. Very underrated soundtrack
This looks fantastic but will unfortunately no doubt struggle on Switch like the original. I'm definitely rooting for it though. Someone needs to challenge Fast RMX for it's thrown. It's only been like 5 years 😂
@Jazzoflute The whole Xenoblade community just went crazy but it looks like both Nia and Melia are in as older characters. Fans think they could be on opposite sides of the war but obviously too soon to tell
@Bass_X0 Honestly I completely forgot about Save States. That really does change things. That makes the infamous Rusty Bucket Bay section much more bear(guh-huh)able. I still much prefer the camera in XBLA version but not sure if it was changed for NSO
This might sound blasphemous on this site, but I really have no interest in playing a ROM of the original N64 version. The XBLA and Rare Replay version really is the only way for me. It's so much cleaner, and the QoL improvements really keep it worth revisiting. It's a shame Nintendo couldn't give this game a similar treatment
Seems kind of odd to me that this and SMT V received the same score since Atlus went all out on SMT V and Blue Reflection 2 is clearly a budget title that is a lot more rough around the edges. Still happy to give this one a shot when I have more time
@jcboyer515 this was actually the very first thing I did but still had a hard time reading it. You can't adjust the size very much, and while adjusting the thickness of the outlines helps, it's still difficult when they display white text over white or yellow backgrounds
I'd been looking forward to this for awhile now and was so excited when it shadow dropped after the indie presentation. I bought it right away only to immediately discover I couldn't really read it and had to put it down sadly. Played and finished Mutazione instead. Fantastic game, so it mostly worked out lol
@Viichan Hey thanks for sharing. I forgot all about this design! So it's definitely less liberties taken, and more just his interpretation and execution in the character design that I don't care for. It's small things here and there like the red chest plate supposed to be connecting to the shoulders, as well as have the green symbol, the "under boob" part is too rounded here and should be more to the sides to go along with the design's aesthetic of simulated muscle definition similar to how super hero suits did at the time. The torso honestly bothers me the most with it's straight card board tube design when it's actually supposed to be more slimming. This is clearly a very talented artist but details like this are very important when handling another's IP in order to get the feel right
Not a fan of the art style or the liberties taken with Samus' character design. Looks like they tried to give her under boob armor in that cover shot...
@Waluigi999 The official specs listed on Nintendo's website list it as "Nvidia Custom Tegra Processor"
But the screen is still only 720p with up to 1080p docked. Battery life is also the same as standard, listed as 4.5-9 hours with 3 hour charge time. Battery size is 4310 mAh

Re: Nintendo Teams Up With Cold Stone To Create Kirby, Mario, And Animal Crossing Ice Creams
I think Animal Crossing should have been Smores related. It needs to capture that cozy campfire feeling and I think that would do it
Re: Review: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak - A Deliciously Difficult, Must-Have Expansion
Just finished the main campaign a bit ago and man was it fun. Definitely the best final boss in the series. You're all in for a treat!

Then put them on a sale. I'd happily rebuy them on a decent discount for Switch, than replay them on my dusty Wii U with a broken Hard Drive

@Stnkygrngo Might be worth giving Yooka Laylee And The Impossible Lair a go. Great game

Keep Miyamoto away from other people's games. Honestly, it's time to retire. He's been ruining games for decades now
