Re: Soapbox: These Everyday Items Trigger Me Now, And I Blame Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

Bahahaha! This might be the greatest advert/love letter to TotK I've ever seen.
Also, when you said "Didn't I already beat the water temple?" It reminded me of how useless hydrants and such become after that quest.
Maybe Sidon's power could increase and splashfruit, etc gain the ability to cleanse Malice pools?
If that happened, maybe people would build water-splashing devices to do more than instakill the Mucktorock.

Re: Site News: Nintendo Life Partners With Family Gaming, Brings Accessibility Info To Reviews And Game Pages

"Tutorials" should not be part of accessibility.
Also, giving a list of "not present" would give a better sense of accessibility. We all know TotK is missing a bunch of features necessary for disabled gamers, (https://www.nintendolife.com/features/soapbox-zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-straight-up-fails-in-just-one-respect-accessibility)
so having it say "Gameplay 3, Assists 6," etc makes it look much better than it is. Putting a /10 or however many feature you count could make the system much better.

Re: PSA: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom News Channel Offering Free In-Game Items

I'd like to repeat that this gift is available to anyone who has completed a minimum of ONE shrine, and maybe even less. Someone could have just exited the ultrahand trial, only a quarter done with the tutorial, and you all want that person to be handed a flipping diamond after the devs spent so much time balancing the game? These little things are big enough.
@calbeau has it totally right.

Re: PSA: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom News Channel Giving Out Free In-Game Items

This feature is definitely going to be used more in the future, this is just a dry run. They'll probably give out better weapons in the future, although keep in mind that this can be accessed right after starting, so they likely just don't want to debalance the game. With a Biggoron's Sword you could completely wreck Greatsky Island.

Re: Feature: 9 Unanswered Questions We Have About Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

I actually want the shrines to make a return. Not the shrines themselves, but the design of them. Tons of small puzzles, all around the world, completed in 10-20 minutes, with a reward at the end. Proper dungeons would be nice, but I love the shrines. Make the new things more visually distinct and with better and more puzzles, and I'll be happy.

Re: Best Pixel Art Switch Games

These all sound good, but I wish there were enough hand-drawn games to make a similar list. If more games looked like Hollow Knight, the cost-of-production for these games wouldn't rise much AFAICT and it'd also make them more appealing to those who aren't fond of pixel art.

@Mauzuri I recommend going to Akkala, stocking up on ancient parts and getting 20-30 ancient arrows from the scientist guy. After that you can just vaporize the guards in the hideout and continue the quest.

Thunderblight will be a pain though, I admit. Maybe bring a bunch of strength/extra health foods? God, I hope the healing system is redone in TotK. Worst case scenario you can just head to the castle and do it without completing all the beasts.

Pokemon Ultra Sun- Totem Marowak.
I love everything else about that section of the game- Music, characters, even the boss's design is sick. But it was just way too hard. I ended up buying Moon just because there was a different boss in that version. I did beat it one day, and finish the game. It became one of my favourites. But that section was so annoying...
Also, Shovel Knight. Why are the spikes all OHKOs? It would have been so easy to take the Hollow Knight route, where you take one hit of damage and then respawn. I wish I'd gotten the game on my computer now, since I could get a mod that does just that.

Also, I did play Hollow Knight up until the second ending. I died a lot, but I don't believe I ever got mad. The game always makes you understand why, you can easily understand what mistakes to learn from, and you don't feel cheated at all. You died a zillion times to the Radiance because it's a literal god, not because it's cheating.
