@Chasloyal you are right. Detective Pikachu is 13.6cm, I’d say Mario is around 12 - so similar ballpark. Melted down for plastic, I’d say they’d weigh the same. These look amazing!

@Lanmanna nope. It was marketed as heck and built up, but as I said… more fool me. Haven’t enjoyed 3D Sonic since Adventure 2, and I went back to that in 2020 and it suuuuucked. I think I enjoyed the Choa Garden aspect as an impressionable wee lad, the 3D controls like poo. Mario is to steak as Sonic is to tripe.

More fool me for buying this tripe on release day. Controlled like a shopping trolley.

This game will sell and sell over the Switch 2 lifetime. Can’t help but feel the key card and the pricing are both poor decisions from Nintendo.

I 100% Powerwash Simulator with all paid and (the generous amount of) free DLC. I am currently working my way thru 2’s campaign and of course I will pick up every bit of DLC along the way! This game is so relaxing. I stick on a podcast or a familiar sitcom during night shifts and have a blissful time. The bigger and muckier the better!

Pushsquare were less favourable (what with their more powerful console to boot) and gave an 8/10.
I’m so excited for the generation pack to land on my doorstep this weekend… hours upon hours of awesome action horror!

@Banjo- absolutely! I had it as a kid and must have put dozens of hours in that cartridge. I hacked my Super Nintendo mini console, uploaded Wario Land GB and used the rewind feature to cheese the end of level minigames - which you can also do with the Virtual Boy one! I promised myself not to do that…

Enjoying what little I’ve played of Wario Land on Virtual Boy. But why oh why is Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 not on Game Boy NSO yet? That is possibly the greatest handheld platformer of all time. Conspicuous in its absence!

This game was amazing on PS5. Looked and played incredible. I shan’t double-dip… until it goes for under £20 with the (as of yet, unplayed) DLC

Pleased by how soon this is releasing - I 100% this back in 2015 along with the DLC, so it’s about time to play thru this again on the Switch 2. Along with Rebirth, it’s a shame that I’m mostly excited by handheld games I’ve already completed! The Switch 2 seems keen to amend that, with RE Requiem and Pragmata releasing the same day as PS5. I’m excited about this generation!

Eh, I’ve been so burned out by Mario sports titles. I pre order them and have a play of a couple of modes and never pick up again. That’s on me, sure. With Switch I would pre order every first party title no matter what (aside from 1-2 Switch It Off), with the Switch 2, mercifully, I seem to have kicked this habit. I’ll definitely check out the review.

This is currently a bargain price at many UK retailers (picked it up for £23 at Curry’s on Switch 2)

@eltomo absolutely. Matthewmatosis on YouTube does deep dives into the 3D Zeldas and does a brilliant job of showcasing how the remake just makes the characters look like plastic toys, rather than a cel-shaded cartoon.

Any idea whether when we load the GameCube Online App we get the famous GameCube startup screen, or is it just the little chime as heard above, like with the other systems?

Got my pre order invite from Nintendo at 1230. Verification code took over five minutes to come thru... picked up console + Mario Kart, Pro controller and GameCube controller.
