The first-person stuff in the NES game blew me away back in the day. Haven't played any other Jurassic Park games afaik.

Loved the NES game and never played the Game Boy one. Might check it out.

It's honestly just the principle of it. It's just ridiculous to ask $50 for a game that old that isn't remastered, no matter how celebrated the game is.

Had something like this happen to me at Target a couple months ago. I bought Super Mario 3D World/Bowser's Fury, brought it home, opened the box and there was a grey plastic cartridge in there with the game label, but it had no chip on it. Like it was just a blank grey cartridge. So weird. Took it back and before I could even finish my sentence, the guy in the electronics section said it had happened to somebody else that week and they let me get another copy.

Love the art style and gimmick. Day one purchase.

Sadly, I'm underwhelmed by the game. Loved BOTW but it really is just too samey for me. Part of the appeal for me with new Zelda games is a new art style, revamped Hyrule, etc. TOTK is definitely not "DLC" by any means. It's impressive and I've had some fun with it; I am just personally not that invested. I'm probably 40 hours in, a couple dungeons completed, and will pick at it here and there.

The Song of Storms one is so cool.

@themightyant Felt the same way. I appreciate the cinematic vibe of it all, but it wasn't very engaging walking for five seconds, lore dump, repeat. Good thing what comes after is one of the greatest games of all time.

BOTW and TOTK have all the stuff I love about Zelda (great puzzles, great music, cool dungeons) and MORE, so I don't see a reason to go backward.

I'm an old dude with a 9-5 job and kids and while I appreciate that it shows a middle-aged guy enjoying video games in public without judgment, overall it's ham-fisted and cringey. Yeah, Nintendo, your new game is the key to coping with our dreary capitalist existence.

Personally, I have never cared about framerate, pixels, or any of that stuff. BOTW looked and played great for me and my family, and that's all that matters for us. But I understand how it might be an issue for people who are used to playing on more modern systems (we only have a Switch).

I've been playing Zelda games since 1987 and have completed almost every game in the series. I'm so glad Zelda has continued to progress and not stagnate. BOTW isn't perfect by any means, but I'd hate to see the series become overly formulaic and repetitive.

Everything sounds better in this oldschool format IMO.

I was sold already but now I'm "take all my money"-level hyped.

My personal fav was the starting music for the OG Donkey Kong arcade game playing when Mario knocked him out in the arena.

Seeing it today with my kids! We're all hyped!

@CazSonOfCaz Agreed. Indiana Jones is my fav movie series and Fate of Atlantis is the only really great game using the license that I’ve played.

TOTK is the only game release I care about for a while.

A relic of the past, albeit a fun one. Don't really see it returning.

Some of the Tour tracks have been surprisingly good. Just wish they were more aesthetically different. Excited for next week. Pizza and family game night UNLOCKED!

N64 but that's only because of Ocarina of Time. I enjoy them all and usually play the one that came out the most recently the most. So I'm spending most of my time on GBA and GB right now.

I used to play this SO MUCH with my friends back in the day. Looking forward to giving it a spin again.

I've been playing BotW pretty consistently for 3 years and I think I'll just stick with that!

I was happy with the output. I didn't have a ton of time to game in 2022, but what new games I could play, I enjoyed.

It's a toss-up between Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Shredder's Revenge. Not really a "game," but my next favorite thing this year was the new MK8 tracks.

Zelda is honestly the only game I'm hyped for, though I'm sure there will be other first-party games I get into.

Dropping another nod to Kirby and the Forgotten Land for this year's best game.

Might be time to give Hades a try.
