I've played the game off and on for 2.5 years. Best game of all time, no contest. Infinitely playable with something new to discover every day. Have been all over, beat lots of shrines, but still so many to solve and so many random spots on the map I haven't visited. My 7-year-old actually beat Ganon the other day, something I was never able to do!
I think it's tears as in crying, especially since "Tears of the Kingdom" in the torn sense is really clunky-sounding. But the dual meaning idea is cool too.
@Advantage They were so popular. I felt like The Arcade Game just lived in my mind rent-free for months on end. I'm also really hyped for this, especially after playing Shredder's Revenge!
I could totally see a great modern update of the franchise! But until they consider taking that risk, it'll continue to be a dead series that will only reappear as random costumes and references in other games.
Really didn't care about a lot of it, but I'm a pretty diehard first-party player, so that's not any criticism of the actual direct, just my preference.
@MrGawain Yeah, seems kind of archaic and pointless in this day and age. But I'm also an insane introvert who would always rather meet online vs. in person.

Re: Poll: What’s Your Favourite New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Track In Wave 3?
3DS Rainbow Road is absolutely stunning and gave me the biggest smile. Merry Mountain and Berlin Byways are also great.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 3 Is Out Now With New Custom Items Update
@EriXz Same. We have Mario Kart night planned already!
Re: The Nintendo Switch Was One Of The Top Black Friday Purchases This Year
Insane how the Switch keeps chugging along. They really need to just call the next one Switch 2 or something and not mess it up in consumers' eyes.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 3 Launches Next Month
So hyped for this. Curious about that holiday-themed track.
Re: Anniversary: Fans Celebrate As Metroid Prime Turns 20 Years Old
One of the greatest games.

Re: Poll: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Is Almost Here, So Have You Completed BOTW Yet?

Re: Deals: My Nintendo Store US Releases Preview Of Black Friday Offers, With Switch Bundles, Games And More (US)
Oh, look. More not-really-that-great-of-a-deal discounts on first-party games.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Prefer 'Super Mario Odyssey 2' Or A Totally New 3D Mario?
I'd prefer something new, with a more defined identity. Odyssey wasn't my favorite and just felt very random with its worlds.
Re: Garfield's Take On Mario Party Cooks Up A November Release Date
Mario Party killer right here
Re: Poll: Is The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Good Enough Value Yet?
I love the easy access to N64 games and the Mario Kart DLC, but its value is becoming increasingly questionable.
Re: Talking Point: Which Animation Studios Should Tackle Nintendo's Other Franchises?
@duffmmann Agree with this. Keep it all under one studio for better oversight and consistency.
Re: Rumour: Fans May Have Translated The Zonai Text In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer
Tears of the Kingdom 2 confirmed
Re: Mini Review: Penko Park - A Worthy Spiritual Successor To Pokémon Snap
@Ogbert Agreed. Hence the "spiritual" and not "literal" successor.
Re: Illumination's Super Mario Movie Reconfirms Release Date, Teaser Coming Next Month
You have to buy the Switch 2 to watch it I heard.
Re: Yakuza Dev Still Doesn't Think Switch Is The Right Platform For The Series
Ha, edgelord to the max. Because the other consoles are so "underground."
Re: Poll: So, How Are You Pronouncing Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
I think it's tears as in crying, especially since "Tears of the Kingdom" in the torn sense is really clunky-sounding. But the dual meaning idea is cool too.
Re: 'The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom' Launches In May 2023
Never been more hyped for a game to come out. Love the title!
Re: Nintendo Direct Showcase Confirmed For Tomorrow
So dang happy to see this headline! Can't wait, and hoping for some sort of Zelda teaser/title/something!
Re: Spiders With Laser Swords? Oh Heck, Sign Us Up, Please!
Ha, that subhead tho.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's New DLC Course Is Coming To Mario Kart Tour On Mobile
Yeah, definitely makes that "new" course seem less new and more like a Tour port. That's some good/sneaky PR.
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection Will Kick Shell In August
So hyped for more Turtles, especially after playing Shredder's Revenge!
Re: Soapbox: 20 Years Later, Super Mario Sunshine Is Still The Best 3D Mario
Not my favorite (my heart forever belongs to Galaxy) but it's a fun game and I love the tropical setting and soundtrack.
Re: Video: What Was Your First Video Game Ever?
It was probably some Atari 2600 game my dad had, but the first one I remember playing distinctly and being excited about was Super Mario Bros.
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Sells Over One Million Copies
One of my favorite games of the year. Congrats to the team and here's hoping for a sequel.
Re: Here's Your First Look At Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection
@Advantage They were so popular. I felt like The Arcade Game just lived in my mind rent-free for months on end. I'm also really hyped for this, especially after playing Shredder's Revenge!
Re: Poll: What's The Best Mario Kart Game?
I was a huge fan when the OG came out, but man, MK8D is just the best Mario Kart experience there is.
Re: Kirby's Dream Buffet Announced For Switch, Looks A Lot Like Fall Guys
This looks fun. My kids will probably love this.
Re: Four Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Games Have Been Added To Switch Online's Expansion Pack
Nice! Never played Wily Wars and I've heard Comix Zone is actually pretty good. Go, Sega.
Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June (North America)
@OldManHermit I re-downloaded it last night and played through some boss fights. It's so insane.
Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June (North America)
Just Cuphead for me. Might get Portal down the road.
Re: Random: Nintendo Shareholder Apparently Asked For A New F-Zero At General Meeting
I could totally see a great modern update of the franchise! But until they consider taking that risk, it'll continue to be a dead series that will only reappear as random costumes and references in other games.
Re: Round Up: Every Game And Trailer From The Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase June 2022
Really didn't care about a lot of it, but I'm a pretty diehard first-party player, so that's not any criticism of the actual direct, just my preference.
Re: Watch: Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase
Not much for me besides Monkey Island and Sonic, which I already knew about. I've never played a Portal game, so I might check that out.
Re: Nintendo Direct Mini To Air Tomorrow, June 28
Mini Direct Tuesday, full one Wednesday. Dope.

I want to know who approved that headline ha
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Summer Game Fest 2022 Opening Showcase?
Don't care about shooters, so it was mostly a wash, but I definitely don't have "mainstream" tastes in games.
Re: Best Video Game Soundtrack Category Added To The Grammy Awards
Cool stuff. Some of the best music I've ever heard is from video games.
Re: Former Pokémon Art Director Reveals 'Plucky Squire', The First Game From His New Studio
Started off liking the trailer but when they opened it up to 3D, I looved it.
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Release Date Potentially Leaked
Absolutely buying as soon as possible and yes, more confirmation of the Direct that is 100% happening.
Re: Back Page: So, What Are We Calling This Not-E3 Conference, Anyway?
Shout out to all my "I hate fun and this is stupid" peeps.
But yeah, I don't even think there needs to be a name cause it's just a bunch of randomness.
Re: Review: Mario Strikers: Battle League - Simply The Best Sports Game On Switch
It's almost like they can give it the score they want and don't have to follow the "consensus" of other sites.
Re: The First Hands-On With Sonic Frontiers Has Dropped
This actually looks pretty cool.
Re: E3 Will Return In 2023, Assures ESA President
@MrGawain Yeah, seems kind of archaic and pointless in this day and age. But I'm also an insane introvert who would always rather meet online vs. in person.
Re: Feature: Inclusivity, Frogs, And Petting Dogs - Wholesome Games On What It Means To Be "Wholesome"
As someone who often turns to video games for relaxation (and usually avoids shooters/ultraviolent games), I'm all for this.
