@Serpenterror was never the biggest MK fan or fighting games in general but hey toss the first three MK games in there with the other classics and it’s a Day one purchase for me! Lol just don’t see any indication of it happening! Thankfully the 360 version of Midway Arcade Origins is backwards compatible so I can still play those on my Series X! So Kudos to Microsoft there!
I should add thx to the comments that I’d LOVE to see a Sega Arcade collection- I don’t know what the problem is Sega but I’m still bugged about you guys pulling the plug on the Sega Ages line! And it was only on Switch to make even less sense! Also would love to see an Activision 2600 collection as they’re some of the best games ever made for the Atari 2600!! Many of them still play soooo well today!!
I wish Warner Bros would get off their tail and put out a nice big juicy compilation of Midway/Atari Games classic arcade game collection for the current consoles! Sorely missed by many!!!
@TruthisRare couldn’t have said it better myself! The greed is just ridiculous! The No purchase option is STUPID! Thank the lord I have a bunch of modded systems loaded to the max. And if You wait for Nintendo to get around to more modern consoles like Cube and Wii on the switch you’ll be dead and forgotten lol 😂
@kingbk I would love to see that happen!! It’s the biggest group of classic arcade games missing from the switch. Warners Bros has to open up the vault though. Doesn’t seem like they’re interested in doing so. Sorely missing for sure. If you have an Xbox one you can play the 360 version of Midway Arcade Origins via backwards compatibility FYI
Wow!! What a complete rip off!! Should’ve been all 4 games in one package for $30-35 PLUS Gravitar, Yars and Missile Command as well!! This is downright insulting! Hard pass!
I was hoping the other non Nintendo Arcade Archives would be on sale for Black Friday! I Guess not but for $3.99, I’d pick up a whole bunch and trim down my wishlist a great deal too lol 😝
Everyone has to realize that those 2600 games were all we knew and they were amazing back then! Some of them still hold up pretty well! The other thing is the mindset back then was beating your own or someone else’s high score! That’s what kept you playing for hours and hours!
Meanwhile for me, This collection is worth the price of admission just for the 7800,Lynx & Jaguar games added! Also a great bonus is 2 REALLY rare games to find today Miner 2049er & Bounty Bob Strikes Back! Both classic games on the Atari computers and the Atari 5200!
Although a Master System mini would be very cool, a Saturn mini is a no brainer for me. It’s common knowledge how hard it is to play those games via emulation. Give us both!! Lol
The next switch iteration we all know will never be as powerful as Sony and Microsoft systems. AS LONG as you can use the current Switch game library digital and physical, I’m good! Otherwise BYE Nintendo!
Wow Planet Smashers and motor psycho also yup and one has to wonder about Midnight Mutants as well. Maybe they’re purposely holding off for a potential Volume 2. Desert Falcon & Alien Brigade missing is also a surprise.
5200 Baseball and Countermeasure also comes to mind.
@rockodoodle Paperboy WAS Atari Games along with Gauntlet, Klax, Marble Madness, Xybots, Toobin, Roadblasters & quite a few others. They all ended up under Warner ownership with the midway classics as well.
Would’ve of been great if Atari arranged with Activision to get all those Activision 2600 games on here!! Let’s face it some of the greatest games ever made is in that group! Also how could Atari skip over 5200 Realsports Baseball possibly the best Atari sports game ever made?? Happy about the 2 miner 49er games as those are rare!
Regardless I’ll be getting this collection for all consoles! 😁
@mattesdude that’s the biggest hole in the switch arcade classic library- the Atari Games/Midway arcade games owed by Warner Bros who by the way seem to be letting them all sit dormant! Tons of classics we’re missing!
My favorite recharged game so far has been Asteroids! I’m totally hooked! Black Widow & Centipede is pretty good too! I know they’re all available in the Flashback collection but Atari should really toss in the original arcade classics with each recharged release imo. I’ll grab Yars at some point 👍
Been collecting for the Atari 7800, Jaguar and N64 lately. Jag and N64 tough to emulate and 7800 and Jaguar & 7800 have tons of homebrew games with more to come! But damn Jaguar is expensive certain games! Overall my game collection might be closing in on 9000 games, approximately 1/2 which are still factory sealed. I’ll leave it for the kids to sell off when the big guy says it’s my time to go! Lol
Great game just happened to dive back into it the other night! Was hoping to hear news of a sequel but 170 tracks is ample! For now. Couple people here mentioned Sega and doing a new Outrun which would be awesome and in thinking about it if they’re adding some Outrun games to the Genesis mini 2 then it makes one hope it’s a possibility. LOVE Outrun 2 and Outrun 2006!!
Day 1 Baby and might even grab 2 of them! Next on sega’s list hopefully in the years to follow should be a Saturn mini!! That would be awesome! Hell even a Master System mini would be cool!! 😎
You have to wonder after 25 plus years of taking in game trades for say $20- $25 and selling them for $45 you gotta wonder where all that profit went??
@Joekun I definitely wanna check out Atari Karts! I read it was actually pretty good and I’ve been looking to buy a copy of the game but man it runs between $400-$600. Brand new I saw it for $2 Grand!! Crazy
@thinkhector yes the remakes/originals sounds interesting. While I was a huge 2600/5200 fan, for me the games being added from the 7800 Lynx and Jaguar libraries are big and obviously first time to be accessible on the current gen consoles. The 7800 has a few gems from Atari themselves that I’m looking forward to.
@thinkhector although there’s not too much on the Jag to pick from that are gems besides Tempest 2000 there are other great Jag games but we likely won’t see stuff like Defender 2000 or Aliens Vs Predator unfortunately. But just the thought of having some Jaguar games on the new consoles for the first time is pretty cool I think. Atari ST no clue what they can grab from there. Atari 7800 was an very underrated system that of course got smoked by the NES but has quite a few very good original Atari games. Desert Falcon Dark Chambers Food Fight Planet Smashers Asteroids 7800 version is great Ninja Golf Ballblazer Fatal Run Alien Brigade Midnight Mutants Scrapyard Dog Centipede Motor Psycho I hope to see all these included! 😊
Wow!! As a gamer who grew up with Atari in the house in the late 70s this is cool. The additions of the 7800, Lynx and Jaguar for me is a big surprise too. Jaguar is sooo darn tough to emulate just like the N64 is. Great to see that these 3 Atari consoles will finally be represented on modern consoles!! Looking forward to the game lineup! Hopefully will be a physical version as well!
@kingbk would love to see that! Too bad Warner Bros owns all that IP along with the Midway classics and doing nothing with it! Biggest and most important gap of classic arcade games missing on the Switch!
@jhess826 well being Microsoft bought Activision I am hopeful for an Activision 2600 Anthology like they had on PlayStation 2! That was awesome! Still can’t play Kaboom properly without Atari paddles though!
@Bomberman64 yes SFZ was on Wii I remember thinking holy cow & purchased immediately. I also remember asking myself why wouldn’t Sega bring this & other games like the Japanese shooters to Genesis? It was always a strange thing how they decided what game was released in what region. Usually JRPGs suffered the most with the heavy language translations required. But I’m glad all today’s consoles are region free. Yea Silly of me to assume Every single Mega Drive game came to Europe and Japan forgetting that the majority of us don’t speak or read any Japanese 🤪 Lol
@Bomberman64 from what Ive always understood, Europe and Japan shared all the mega drive releases while North America/Canada was Genesis. We did NOT receive an official Genesis release of SFZ or other games like Turbo Outrun. Come to think of it i hope Sega puts and Outrun game on this Mini 2! That would be cool.
@Bomberman64 in case no one answered you it is likely the mega drive version of Fantasy Zone which never came west to us Genesis fans. I ended up importing the mega drive cart because I was such a huge fan of Master System games! Good stuff
@kingbk oh baby that would be awesome! Paper Boy Robotron 2084 Smash TV Moon Patrol Defender Joust Roadblasters San Francisco Rush Hydro Thunder Tapper Satans Hollow Spy Hunter Gauntlet Xybots and so many others Big gap of missing classics on switch!
I find it hard to believe that Namco can’t pony up the dough Ray me to get Ms Pac Man in this collection. Not only that but Ms Pac Man Maze Madness (Dreamcast, psone,N64) is a great game that could’ve been included as well! Also what happened to the snes and Genesis Pac- Man adventure? Jeez forgot the name but I remember I liked it despite an odd control method.
The WORST digital store front I’ve ever experienced hands down!! What a pain in the ass! Can’t even navigate the truck ton of weekly sales you just can’t get that far because at some point it reloads the page and brings you back to the top of the list!!!! Pure agony!! The Wii U eshop BLOWS this away!!! Terrible
@Moroboshi876 I agree completely and still waiting for my Turrican collection from January 2021!! If SLG didn’t take so long getting the games to us I’d order a lot more from them like I do with LR. I nabbed the PS4 Wonder Boy but Switch was sold out. So now as I understand the ININ games will eventually hit stores but will only have the 4 games like the digital copy ughh that’s terrible 😞
@DDFawfulGuy I remember when a console reaching a million in sales (Atari 5200/7800) was a big deal and guaranteed 3rd party support. No way I think the Cube was a failure it, with Xbox just basically got crushed by ps2 that’s all it was.
@Danrenfroe2016 thats a small number actually. My highest count is Wii with over 900 physical games easily. Lol but yes I’m a collector as well as a gamer but also 1/2 the games I buy is with the intent of playing them but with running a business, wife, 2 kids, a bulldog just kills most of each week lol so I never get around to most of them.

@SuperToe right?? Where’s 5200 countermeasure? Where’s 5200 realsports Baseball?? That was the best Baseball game ever back then! Lol
