Re: Sega Asks 650 Employees To 'Voluntarily Retire', Cuts Executive Salaries

Sigh Sega! It all started when the Japanese arm battled with Sega of America in the decision making to make the Genesis a success in America. All downhill from there through today with the stupid ass decision like pulling the plug on the Sega ages line and limiting those games to just the switch. They missed out on a ton of money not having those games on PS4! Somebody like Microsoft should snap up Sega quick and grab all those precious IP’s before they go down for good. I’ll always be a big Sega fan no matter what happens just like i still am a fan of the old Atari. I wish Sega well. They brought me countless hours of joy gaming on their consoles!

Re: Rodea The Sky Soldier Is Being Removed From The Wii U And 3DS eShops In Japan

@yuwarite pretty insightful stuff lol- of course I was speaking to my current games and systems and yes unfortunately the future is going digital but I’ll still be able to play my current cartridges and discs on my current systems. Backwards compatibility will play an important role for sure but I won’t be in a hurry to rebuy my physical games again no and the majority of them will NEVER become available again either but overall It is bad news for us collectors!

Re: Taito's 1984 Action Platform Game Ben Bero Beh Joins The Arcade Archives

joey302

I’m gaming since the 2600 and I’ve never heard of this one i gotta say. Looks interesting But of all the Taito games out there this is an odd choice as opposed to:
Operation Wolf
Operation Thunderbolt
Qix
ANY Space invaders game
Jungle Hunt
Bubble bobble
Rainbow Islands
Space Dungeon
Chase HQ 1 or 2
SCI special criminal investigation
Aqua Jack
Arkanoid
ANY Darius game
Phoenix
Zoo Keeper
Continental Circus
Flying Shark
Hellfire
Time Gal
Hit the Ice
Jupiter Strike
Parasol Stars
Insector X
Final Blow
Ray Crisis
Ray force
Ray Storm
Thundercade
Tiger Heli
Truxton
Twin Cobra 1 & 2
Now maybe Hamster will get to these over time but with 800 games in their arsenal it may take a while. But any of these would be IMO a better and more well known choice. 😊

Re: Talking Point: Does Nintendo Have A Refund Problem?

Also- I remember my son was 9 years old and bought $2,000.00 worth of madden DLCs in the Apple store unbeknownst to us. when it hit my credit card statement my wife and I had a near heart attack! I called Apple explained the situation, established a passcode to prevent further purchases without our approval and got all our money back! Thank goodness! Lol

Re: Talking Point: Does Nintendo Have A Refund Problem?

Figures that Nintendo has the most difficult return policies for digital purchases. They’re NEVER in a hurry to part with their money, always so careful and one can even say cheap but cheap is not always consumer friendly. I remember the NES days when they NEVER allowed the retail chains like Walmart to accept returns from customers and Walmart did it anyway because THEY had their own return policy for their guests! They were at odds over this for years! I always wait for mad sales But if I had a dollar for every digital game I bought over the years that i didn’t like or it was broken or unplayable, I’d have a few extra grand laying around!!

Re: Super Mario All-Stars Is Now Available On Nintendo's Switch Online SNES Service

joey302

@GameOtaku I’m never online with Switch so sometimes I wonder why I’m even subscribing lol. As far as your idea and it’s a beauty, we’re talking about Nintendo here lol i mean at this point N64 and Cube games should be available with NSO! That said, I’m shocked but pleased about the upcoming package Of the 3 Mario games especially that it includes Sunshine! I’ll grab that one as I’m sure many others will. 😊

Re: Space Invaders Forever Is Another Compilation Headed To Switch Later This Year

joey302

@NightBeast I have some limited run orders back to January and Panzer Dragoon i ordered in March so they’re not too much better but i think part of the difference is LR is in the US and i believe SL is in Germany? Sometimes what i do is not order at all wait for whatever I want to list on eBay and buy it there...even if it is another 10-15 bucks. But nice to see the Star Wars games are close to shipping as I’m waiting on them also. 😊

Re: Space Invaders Forever Is Another Compilation Headed To Switch Later This Year

joey302

@NightBeast I finally got my bubble bobble and Darius games last week from SL after ordering way back last November! Took 10 months! I was getting nervous for a bit there! but I once again caved in and bought the space invaders invincible collection and yea they’re expensive. $72 for this one! They’ve been blaming the delays on shipping complications due to COVID 19. 🤷‍♂️Hope space invaders doesn’t take as long lol

Re: Herzog Zwei Joins Japan's Sega Ages Line On 27th August

joey302

@durr I agree - well I didn’t have my Switch hacked as the other systems I mentioned fill the gaps lol. The other great thing about having the mods is you also get the older games with licensing issues that we will never ever see although we do occasionally get surprised with releases like the double pack of Aladdin and Lion King. But it’s also about Nintendo and Sega ignoring their most recent consoles. It’s shameful that Nintendo still doesn’t have any N64 offerings on the Switch after 3 years when they had them on Wii shop and the Wii U! I just don’t understand their strategy, if you can even call it a strategy at all. And to folks who criticize me for this I say there’s a ton of gamers also doing it and I’ve spent PLENTY of money on this industry over the past 40 years lol as an enthusiast with a large game collection. 😊
