Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch

joey302

This is a nice collection (are you paying attention Sega for the love of God???) at 32 games. Very nice. But that said, there’s plenty of Capcom classics missing like Super Buster Bros/Pang, Giga Wing 2, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, king of dragons, Magic Sword and many many others so I hope it does well enough and Capcom adds another 10 pack or two! ALSO- I’m on the fence about a digital purchase only because I feel like 6 months down the road a physical version will be announced! This happens a lot and forces me to double dip!! So I may hang back a little bit. If I DO go digital then I might actually opt for the Xbox One version first which will also be playable on series X!! But at LEAST Capcom hasn’t forgotten about its classic library....unlike other companies we know....ahem SEGA

Re: Get Ready For More Remasters From Activision Blizzard In 2021

joey302

@Atariboy you stole my thunder! Lol I’d LOVE to see an Activision anthology again! The one they made for PS2 is an incredible collection but nothing since! Wishful thinking, they can even take it a step further and add titles from other consoles like Atari 5200 version of Megamania & River Raid, and 5200 exclusives like Dreadnought Factor, Zenji, Zone Ranger, Worm Whomper from the Intellivision console and maybe even Toy Bizarre that they published on the C64 computer!
Never happen though lol 😂

Re: Select Arcade Archives Games Are Currently On Sale On The Switch eShop

joey302

@TempestStotm Assuming you ARE aware it’s already available, if your waiting for sunset riders to go on sale you’ll probably have to wait a long while as it’s relatively new and a big title in the Hamster lineup. To many of us, it’s well worth the regular asking price of $8. So Don’t wait it’s such a great game well worth $8 IMO and so much fun with 2 players!

Re: Select Arcade Archives Games Are Currently On Sale On The Switch eShop

joey302

With Hamster having 240 or so games on the eshop this is a small selection of games here and I KNOW for a fact I grabbed Double Dragon during a previous Hamster sale way back and I’ve seen the weird Japanese game on sale a few times before too, so they need to increase the size of games on sale AND shake up the lineup a little bit too.

Re: Jaleco's Ninja Kazan Is This Week's Arcade Archives Release

joey302

@Crazydiamond2112 yea who ever put that Ages line up together was drinking lol. We didn’t need 2 Puyo Puyo games for one thing. My Sega wishlist is Huge! After they gave us Virtua Racing, G-Loc & Outrun I thought they would finally give us more recent Sega arcade games! How could they possibly NOT give us:
Crazy Taxi
Virtua Cop 1&2
House of the Dead 1/2/3
Virtua Fighter 2&3
Sega Rally Championship
Daytona USA
Zaxxon
Congo Bongo
Pengo
Virtua Tennis
Power Drift
Afterburner
Scud Racer
Turbo Outrun
Super Hang On
Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder
And sooo many others! IT JUST DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE!

Re: Jaleco's Ninja Kazan Is This Week's Arcade Archives Release

joey302

I think Hamster is doing a fabulous job no complaints here. As knowledgeable as I thought I was on the arcade classics, there’s definitely been a few they put out that I never heard of or are turds.
But as far as licensed games like Turtles etc, we will most likely NEVER see most of them ever!
Good thing I have my modded original Xbox, Nes and Snes classic & Genesis mini loaded to the gills with classic arcade games!! 😁

Re: Jaleco's Ninja Kazan Is This Week's Arcade Archives Release

joey302

@AtlanteanMan good points. Problem is though for any hope to see the Midway/Atari Games classics Hamster would have to strike a deal with Warner Bros who hasn’t done anything with the old games since the Midway Arcade Origins disc on PS3 and 360. Luckily I can play that title on my Xbox One and Series X Thx to BC! As far as Sega goes they had a chance with the Ages line on switch and for whatever stupid reason just ended the line. I was Very disappointed they did that. After Virtua Racing showed up, I had high hopes we were gonna see some real good ones from Sega but nope! 😞

Re: M2 Has Updated Six Sega Ages Titles For Nintendo Switch

joey302

@WaveWitch don’t even get me started lol My Sega Ages wish list is longer then your leg 🤣
When I saw Virtua Racing hit I got high hopes for fresh Sega arcade oldies but nooooooo! If ONLY they would’ve done what Hamster is doing! Oh the possibilities! 🤨 😌

Re: No, Konami Isn't Exiting The Video Game Business

joey302

Not the same Konami for sure! I had some hope when they did the Anniversary collections but that came to a abrupt halt! If it wasn’t for the boys at Hamster we wouldn’t be getting ANY of Konami’s classic games on the Switch and PS4!! Ya gotta love ❤️ those Hamster fellas!!! 👍👍

Re: Feature: Ten Arcade Games We'd Love To See On Switch

joey302

Like a few here mentioned, a huge chunk of the Sega arcade catalogue is missing I guess Sega killed the switch ages lineup cause they don’t like money??? So still a big gap
ANOTHER big gap is the lack of Midway/Atari arcade classics!! HUGE GAP- way too many awesome games to list!! Sorely missing! Cmon Warner Bros!!

Re: Talking Point: Are You A Player Or Collector?

joey302

Was always a player for 40 years and still play today but due to life demands i have evolved more into a collector more and more. EVERY SINGLE TIME I promised myself I’m gonna dive into a game I bought it doesn’t happen. I own more than 7000 retail games with more than half probably still factory sealed with many more in mint condition and thousands more games downloaded so my backlog is insane! I try to play whenever possible but with having a family with 2 kids in college, an English bulldog puppy, watching after my health AND 50 plus hours a week running a business it’s nothing close to when i was a teenager with zero responsibility. Damn I wish I was 17 again!! Sooo many games to play and no time to play them!
Some of my physical collection highlights included:

Complete Atari 5200 LIBRARY
177 Atari 2600 games
63 Atari 7800 games
36 Atari Jaguar games
Over 425 Sega Genesis games
77 Sega CD Games
52 Turbographx games
197 Sega Dreamcast games
212 Sega Master System games
85 Sega Saturn games
73 Wii U games
Over 900 Wii games
212 N64 games
233 Snes games
115 Nes games
363 Switch games
473 PS4 Games
323 Xbox One games
485 GameCube games
377 original Xbox games
623 Xbox 360 games
611 PS3 games
477 PS2 games
Over 100 PSP games plus 97 UMD movies
77 PS Vita Games
377 DS games
217 3DS games
100’s & 100’s of GBA, GBC, GB carts
Definitely leaving some stuff out lol

Re: Best Of 2020: How Do Switch eShop Discounts Impact Game Sales?

joey302

I still maintain that the Switch eshop store just plain stinks! If only Nintendo can at least mirror the layout of the Wii U eshop - just that move alone would be a tremendous improvement!! I just don’t get why they don’t improve the Switch eshop 🤷‍♂️ And Navigating 1300 games on sale is a big huge pain in the butt and takes too long!

Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Brings More Retro Action To Switch Early Next Year

joey302

Great news!! Super pumped to see Carrier Air Wing, Giga Wing & Progear in the mix. LOVE carrier air wing! On the downside, many titles missing from previous arcade collections. Still awesome though and I assume will see this on Xbox & Playstation! Meanwhile the Switch is such a retro arcade classic beast!! It’s awesome!
SEGA are you paying attention?? THIS is what you should be doing!!!

Re: Mini Review: Arcade Archives Zero Team - A Long-Lost Coin-Op Relic That's Worth Unearthing

joey302

WHERE would us retro gamers be without Hamster’s efforts on the Switch? 😊 countless arcade classics available and many lesser know titles reintroduced as well! And according to Hamster, hundreds of titles yet to come!!!
My only gripe is the availability of the Hamster line up on Xbox is limited for some reason to Neo Geo games only and I’m not sure sure why!! With Xbox’s excellent backwards compatibility efforts all these classic titles can’t be brought forward to the Xbox series X and that just stinks. Otherwise, Hamster is a retro beast!!
And by the way what happened to Raiden?

Re: Sega Ages Team Reveals The Most Popular Games In The Series

joey302

Outrun for sure was my favorite release along with Virtua Racing. Matter of fact, I assumed with the release of Virtua Racing I thought for sure would finally be the start of seeing more “newer” Sega arcade games like Power Drift, Virtua Cop 1&2, Crazy Taxi, House Of the Dead, Sega Rally Championship, Virtua Fighter series, and Sooooo many more but obviously not going to happen right now! Still scratching my head over this decision to pull the plug at a mere 19 titles! Cmon Sega!!
