" Discounted " on switch right now? Wow i must buy right now.
I grabbed RE4 on this sale a few days ago, finally. I’d rather take this version over the new VR version. Just wished it had motion controls. Even though most of my time spent on this game was the PS2 version years ago. Kinda surprised Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen isn’t on sale again. Its a great Halloween game, in my opinion. Especially Bitterblack Isle.
Somebody please give these games a proper physical release
Onimusha, get out of there. That's not your family.
I got DMC3 digital at GameStop’s site for about $4.50 a few days ago so check that out if you can.
Revelations and Mercenaries 3D are also on sale in the 3DS eshop if anyone’s interested!
GameStop online was giving DMC 3 for Switch for $4.49 digital code so I coped that one. Don’t know if the deal is still live.
I was able to grab Resi4 on Wii from Cex a few days back for only £4. Chose that version cos it has motion aiming, and c'mon, its £4. I've played a little under an hour, and my god, does it feel so... archaic! Possibly a problem with me, I've not particularly liked SM64 and Super Metroid's walljumps have me tearing me hair out. I'm still willing to give Resi4 more of a go though, because, c'mon, £4
@Juanblue85 wait they still giving? I tried to buy few days ago but the system was giving an error. That's why I didn't get it. Many people have encountered the same error.
@Timptation @Juanblue85 Thanks so much! Just grabbed it - can’t say no at that price.
@Timptation I got the same deal, feels even better seeing this sale price.
Resident Evil, most likely not. Still on the first game, I have pondered getting RE0 as the direct prequel for next playthrough, but I'm still leaning towards proceeding in release order with RE2 instead. Devil May Cry has higher odds so far, although a similar discount price is already in my next payday-covered period's iron sights under God Wars - and now, even simultaneously facing more competition from Owlbo- wait, what? Never mind, that one expires on Wednesday. My budget planning is admittedly a bit contemptuous towards "flash sales" in general, but what's this new marketing tactic on the block to launch a sale for a grand total of two weekdays?😓 If not for a Deku wishlist mail, chances are I wouldn't even have learned about it at all.
Okay, long FWP digressions short, I'm keeping an eye for the first DMC but it might get outprioritized (yes, I lack enough shame to make up English words in a British website's comments) yet again. No Mega Man stuff or Shinsekai from the look of it, and I've already got Onimusha.
DMC3 is also $5 at GameStop for some reason
I love RE games, but the main doesn't feel right on Switch, I prefer on Steam. In the other hand, I prefer Revelations on Switch. DMC classics I prefer on Switch too. I need more hack'n slash games, DMC, Devil May Cry 4 and Metal Gear Raising would be great adds
I got all excited for Onimusha but apparently they left it out for EU. Ah well. Dekudeals says it's been at 7.99 Eur before so I'll wait anyways.
Alien Isolation was on sale too (not sure if still is), great game that I had in my wish list.
Resident evil Triple packs on sale on PS4 & Xbox one for £15.99 & on switch there on sale for £11.99 each ....
Might buy resident evil 4
if I did get any of the Resident Evil games it would be the remake of the first one since I played that on ps1
@Timptation Can confirm. It’s still at the price. Bought it today. Thank goodness someone else saw it.
@JokerCK Looks like the deal is still live indeed. https://www.gamestop.com/video-games/nintendo-switch/products/devil-may-cry-3-special-edition/213403.html
Same offers as ever...
Come on Capcom, they've been out for ages, and they're pretty old games.
@Juanblue85 yeah still alive and i am still getting this Oops! We can’t process your payment. Please select a different payment method or check your payment details including your billing address error. I tried everything but nothings worked so far.
Same deals as usual, pass as usual too.
Funny how RE4 used to be 30 at a near constant 50 % off, then got a price drop it really needed, and now is constantly at 25 % off, the exact same 15 that is still too much for a game I played a hundred times and didn't even get gyro aiming. With gyro aiming, I'd have bought it for 10 again, because it IS fantastic and handheld would be awesome. Or 20, proper physical release, in Europe. But Capcom just had to Capcom... Skipping the most obvious update to make it possibly as good as the Wii edition, no physical release, not in Europe and not without two download games I don't want making it too expensive anyway. And even digitally on its own at a high price. That's a whole Capcom Bingo card in one. Where's everyone going?
@Juanblue85
Thanks. Got Devil May Cry 3 for $4.49
Anyone can get error? I want so bad buy DMC3 but this error is so annoying. "Oops! We can’t process your payment. Please select a different payment method or check your payment details including your billing address error. I tried everything but nothings worked so far."
I already have all of them bar the first two DMCs.
Still RE 4,5,6 are almost double price vs other platforms when on sale. 7.99 XO,PS4, 14.99 on Switch... and RE 0,1 4.99 vs 12.99. Still waiting for a price match.
I'll likely grab Devil May Cry and Resident Evil 6 .. Hey, I enjoyed Leon's campaign back when I played this on PS3.
I see Capcom will never discount these games 50% or more on the eShop. It's the only reason I haven't got RE 5, 6 or the DMCs yet.
I actually have all these games on various platforms, so I'll pass. But for those who haven't played these, I'd recommend, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4, Onimusha, and Devil May Cry 3 are all excellent.
@Juanblue85 I had to take that deal. I've never played a DMC game but have heard 3 is top notch. I'm starting a file tonight
DMC 3 is still on sale at GameStop for $4.49 as of today. Must buy at that price.
I'd love to pick up RE0, 1, 4 and 5 but I'm waiting for at least 50%. The discount price on Switch is still about double the discount prices on other platforms.
@VR32X VR version is awesome, you probably just got scared.
@YANDMAN Theres a little las plagas inside of each and every one of us.
Say I were to get one of each, what would be the best recommendation?
@Classic603 I quite enjoyed Resident Evil 4 over the other entries, but there are some I haven't played, like the Revelations games, so those may be worth checking out, but I imagine they are smaller games since they were on 3DS before. RE4 seems to be an excellent recipe for good action and a story that doesn't take itself too seriously. It feels like RE5 and RE6 tried to recapture/duplicate this experience, but RE4 did it best.
I also prefer Devil May Cry 3 over the other entries. First one is pretty good, but a bit dated now, the second one felt a little out of place in the setting and story. The DMC 3 is actually a prequel to both games, so you play as a younger Dante with a pretty entertaining personality. I very much enjoyed the combat, cutscenes, and the rivalry you build with your brother over the game, which spills into the other games. Very fun and stylish game.
@Classic603 For Resident Evil it would be the original of course and for Devil May Cry I'd say the original as well.
I have all that I want already in that sale list which is the vast majority of them (all bar two games). Some good gaming on there.
Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series!...still at full price.
I have DMC and DMC3...I never got DMC 2 bc I heard it was trash. Can anyone confirm?
@Astral-Grain
Alrighty RE4 and DMC3 it is. No offense, @JustMonika but I hate original things. Just kidding, Astral just made some great points
I feel like these games are on sale almost constantly though..well at least the RE ones.
Is this a sponsored article? It fails to mention that these games are "on sale" every month or so, that the price is no lower than you will have found it in the last few sales. Most importantly that the games are significantly cheaper, and perform better on other consoles.
@Moistnado what they do here is make a post each time a sale happens and then basically "bump" the same post again when the sale is about to end. Even though it appears this was posted today, it was actually posted over a week ago. This is just a filler article. And of course they wouldn't want to call out that Switch sales for these games are far weaker than all other versions, that would be too real.
@VR32X Capcom was pretty damn lazy with that RE4 port for Switch. It fails to use any of the Switch's special features. Not to mention it lacks motion controls.
I still own the Wii Edition of RE4 which in terms of gameplay is superior to any other version on consoles. I mean the controls are so good that critics of the Wii version can only blast it for "breaking the game". Because unlike happens in other versions, getting headshots with the Wiimote is incredibly easy to the point that it almost feels like cheating.
Especially when you play the shooting gallery mini-game.
@GC-161 Yea...but it's portable...
@Astral-Grain
Both RE: Revelations games are quite lengthy - don't dismiss them because the first one was on the 3DS - Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask were on the 3ds and also lengthy.
Check howlongtobeat.com to get a sense of how long these are compared to all the other RE games
@GC-161 I loved the Wii version as well. I would love gyro controls on the Switch version, maybe a little amiibo support for PTAS. But, it is what it is. At least the game is mostly intact.
Edit: Reminds me that the Switch version of Revelations 2 had some crazy bugs and issues with it as well, that they never fixed.
Each time I see RE4 on sale, I'm initially tempted. Then I remember motion controls were removed and look at maybe getting the Wii version again.
When are these not discounted? They have been on discount for 300 days per year and always the same discount % .
@VR32X Wait? They have not patched the Switch version of Revelations 2 yet?
Doesn't help the argument that Capcom is being lazy.
@GC-161 My amiibo functions no longer work, and my gold for BP exchange is never correct. Sometimes Barry’s head loads funny.
