Kirby's latest adventure is out today on the Switch, and as usual, we want to know if the Nintendo Life community will be picking it up.
If you're still unsure if this is the right Kirby game for you - why not check out our Nintendo Life review. We awarded his new 3D-action outing nine out of ten stars and said it was a "grand way to celebrate 30 years" of the pink puff.
There's also a free playable demo. In this, you'll receive a present code that can be "redeemed for some useful in-game items" in the full game, once you've purchased it.
Right, now that's out of the way - tell us, will you be picking up Kirby and the Forgotten Land? Vote and leave a comment below.

We need 2 copies for our house. No fighting between all us kids
Nah, it looks neat and all but I never been into kirby.
It's not March 25th here in Mexico yet. I'll have to wait until my exit from my work, 2:30pm, to go pick up my pre-order and then I'm doing some errands before going home.
EDIT: For those of you who are playing now, is there a day 1 update? That's something I don't think I've heard of for this game.
Waiting for my pre-order to arrive!
I don't normally go out of my way for pre-orders, but some of the bonuses for this game were too good to pass up.
I bought digital, just waiting for it to unlock so I can play it!
Edit: I just noticed it is 12:09 am so officially the 25th. Who needs sleep, time to play Kirby!
I went digital, just killing time now.
@HammerGalladeBro The author of this article seems to be located in Australia. There should be around 3 p.m. of Marth 25th right now.
But yeah, I get what you say. 2 more hours to go for the 24th here in Mexico.
Waiting for as a summer graduation present.
Picked it up today with my EB extras.
Will be playing it tonight with the family.
Not yet. One day for sure.
(IN)HALE YEAH, I AM!
Not day one as my next purchase is some PS4 games.
I THOUGHT IT WAS OUT ON THE 28TH WHAT LMAO
Picking it up tomorrow at lunch but I've a late night ahead of me, so I'll be playing it on the weekend.
Pre-ordered physical it after reviews came out. Should arrive tomorrow.
Just noticed Kirby articles have pink theming. Nice work.👌 Maybe I'm very late to the party noticing.
Physical copy just arrived so will be getting stuck into it now.
Yep! Going to go to the store to pick it up tomorrow. I finished my run of the series just in time, so I'm really excited to see what direction they take things in this one!
At some point, still got a lot of games to hold me over, but will be sure to put it on my list.
I shall drag myself out tomorrow at some point and get myself a copy. Can't pass up on some Kirb.
Counting down the hours until I can pick it up at the store after work today. My most anticipated title of the year!!
Set my alarm for 6am to run to the store and grab a copy. I'll be playing all weekend.
My non-gamer wife has asked for (and received) only 2 games for her birthday. ACNH and now Kirby.
It’s funny too because both came out nearly on her birthday. This will be a great co-op game for us. So far so good.
@HammerGalladeBro
Loaded it into my switch here in Australia. Straight to playing, no update.
After watching the final boss on youtube, I decided the best is probably for me to wait for a sale or something, which is a stark improvement from me just skipping the game itself.
Not for me as the demo was mind numbingly boring.
I played the demo for a bit, but the 3D made me nauseous, so I won't be playing it anymore. I did enjoy the car section though.
Gameplay time? Any replayability?
Will defo get when on sale. There is no rysh for me as I am just beginning Witcher 3 so will be busy for a while lol
the next month it'll be mine
I'd probably pick it up if it were 2D but zero interest in ever playing a 3D Kirby.
Grabbing it before Uni later today! Gonna have to wait to play it since I got a lecture but after that and the drive home it's kirby time
That demo showed me exactly what the game is... not interested in the slightest.
I go get it today
But now i only need to wait 2 hours and 27 minuts until the store is open
Waiting for a sale sometime in the future. It looks very nice, but I find the difficulty on these kind of games mind numbing and unfulfilling.
Playing it now just stared
Seems like Nintendo perfection gameplay wise to me. Great game play and controls to perfection.
@iLikeUrAttitude me either, until this game.
i gonna buy Kirby and the Forgotten Land in my birthday in april.
Not my cup of tea but I'm sure Nintendo will get round to my franchises of choice eventually.
Not for me, looks like a kids game.
I'll get it on a later date. I'm still way too busy with Elden Ring.
Of course I'll buy, I'm a Kirby fan!
Hell yah can’t wait.
Pre-ordered it with a voucher a while back
Seeing as it's my birthday on the 30th, I have to wait a little to see if I'm getting it from someone... If not, then I'll get it myself
@noz901
Of course Kirby is a kiddie games with its cutesy.
I don't have the money for it.....

Day 1, but for the kids. Not really my kinda game.
I've already pre-purchased it and waiting after work to play it! I can't wait!
@Daniel36 your loss
I have never been interested in Kirby games but I hope the people getting it are going to enjoy it.
I've been waiting for Triangle Strategy.
Not interested in Kirby.
Played the Triangle Strategy demo but could not get into it for some reason.
Played the Kirby demo.
Bought Kirby.
😁
Wait, does progress from the demo not carry over?
That's annoying.
Picked up my copy this morning before work. Had a lovely interaction with a woman as we were both wearing hot pink for the occasion 😂
FedEx today seems likely, at the depot about an hour away. Going to play it an hour a night w/ my wife to try and make it last an entire week. Currently playing Tales of Brave Vesperia for 50 hours and Elden Ring for 70 hours with no end in site for either so Kirby is feeling ridiculously short for $60. Tales cost me $12.50 a month ago.🤑 I basically bought Kirby b/c I had $10 worth of credit expiring at Best Buy, had to spend it on something, and $50 seems better than $60.
@czdjax Hey, you can find that information over the our review here: https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/nintendo-switch/kirby-and-the-forgotten-land
Hope that helps!
@Medic_Alert It really is right?! I was shocked at how good Adventure was when I played it for the first time not long ago. Easily one of my favourite Kirby games 😍
The only reason i am not getting now is money
My pre-order says it's arriving today. I just have to wait for UPS to deliver it. Danganronpa Decadence arrived yesterday, so I'll probably play that while I wait for Kirby to be delivered...
@Fizza I am sorry! I understand.
@smithpa01 I am sorry! That is not good.
My local GameStop called me last night to remind me to pick up my preorder. I’ll stop there after work tonight.
Then the kiddos and I will wander around Waddledee Town a bit this weekend 😊
I’m waiting for the postman
I'm in the "absolutely! (but not right away)" camp, because I'm already juggling finally finishing Pokémon Sword, Xenoblade 2 and a bit of GTAV and Rune Factory 5 on the side. Only so many hours in day D:
I got the game about 6 hours ago, and I’m really loving the game. They made the jump to full 3D excellently
Got my copy delivered yesterday from Shopto and I’m in love with the game. It’s just so bright and happy and although it is pretty easy it’s clearly going to be endlessly replayable with so much stuff to do.
Extraordinary how people still call Nintendo games "kid games" when most of us here are adults anyway. If you're not interested in it don't comment it's not that hard 🙃
@Half-ShellHero 6am? I struggle to get up for work to be in at 8am 😅
Not this week, probably after I get through a few more backlog titles.
its cute and I liked the demo. But I've never found Kirby exciting enough to run out and spend $60 on it. Maybe in a year on sale
Should be arriving from Amazon at some point today.
Looks very beautiful, very polished, the kind of product you'll feel respected for paying for. I'll end up getting it
“MC Pee Pants doesn’t want candy, that’s childish. He needs it. And when you need something, that’s a responsibility.” -Meatwad
I need Kirby.
@iLikeUrAttitude - Same as me. The only Kirby game I ever got into was Kirby's Dream Course... And that's a spin-off game. I just never really got into the main Kirby games
For various reasons (Catching up on some other Kirby games, impending eShop closures, budgeting, current backlog, etc.), I'm waiting for now. But I will pick this gem up at some point.
I found an old 50$ visa gift card so I’m going to buy it today after I get off of school
My wife just brought me home Elden Ring as a surprise, and she said that would be it for awhile. I also have Sunbreak preordered. I loved the Kirby demo but it will have to wait.
Gonna sell some games I'm not into anymore and pick this up for my 4 year old who's been on a recent Kirby kick.
I’m not really into Kirby… I’ve played a few of the games and just don’t really love the style. I’m happy it’s a good game for those getting it though!
I’ll get it for my birthday in mid-April, but I’m excited to play it!
I'll probably get eventually it but not right away, I've already bought a lot this year.
Picking it up today! I'm so excited for this!
On the way to the Nintendo store right now! Will be real tough not to play while I’m working…
Mine arrived in the post today 🙂 was hoping it would come a day early but no such luck. Will get stuck into it tonight. This is my first Kirby game! Loved the demo.
@RubyCarbuncle Yeah lol. I have the day off. Long weekend. I figure I might as well go full Kirby on it.
It’s on the mail, should be here in a few hours. First game I buy for myself day one all year.
@RubyCarbuncle “kid games” really mean “kid friendly but truly for everyone”
An pattern I think I noticed is that when people truly mean “kid only” ( like My Friend Pepa Pig…., no judgement to any adults that enjoy it) they tend to actually say “it’s for children”
It's the last day of Spring Break so I'm buying Kirby digitally for my son to play. He's inviting over a friend so I should have a full review of the game by the end of the day!
I mean... I do have all the Kirby games ever released, including remakes and collections, so why stop now?
...Okay, I lied. I haven't downloaded Fighters 2 yet. It seems a bit expensive for what it is, and it was never on sale! Maybe this year with the anniversary and all?
Just got back from the store with my copy.
The Target that my Mom works at doesn't have the game in. So I'll have to wait.
@Tharsman Perhaps but sometimes it's hard to tell if they mean that with the way they word it. Text on a screen makes it hard to tell if someone is being sarcastic or just making a general statement too.
@RubyCarbuncle oh I agree, they tend to say it equally dismissively. If there ain’t blood and killing, it ain’t for adults in their minds.
Just think many in their own minds don’t realize they themselves see a distinction between a “Nintendo kids game” and a “game for children”
Can't afford it right now so I have to wait probably a month before I can get it.
Gotta pick up my pre-order either tonight or tomorrow.
Of course! Had it pre- loaded just for tonight ...Gotta make dinner first, though.
I just picked up the last copy at my target 😲 I’m so lucky it’s as low say at work 😁
Too much work and too my backlog is way too long... I'll be waiting. But I fear that when Bayo 3 and BOTW 2 will be released I'll be driving too deep into those... Still, Kirby absolutely needs some love and those Pink Nintendolife pages represent something lovely (people)
Preorder is on the way, really excited for this game, hope it's better than Star Allies.
I’m not sure what ill do. My daughter and I played the demo and she seemed to like it a bit but she had a hard time with the boss in the demo as Kirby. It may be a fun little game for us both to play but I’m also considering elden ring. Not sure I want all that frustration tho.
Preordered! But I got Scarlet Nexus on the cheap @ humble bundle, so I might hold off Kirby until I finish 1 of the 2 SN stories.
That demo really convinced me, this is amazing!!
Just got my copy! Gonna be playing it tonight in co-op with my kid. I'm super stoked, as we loved the demo.
Nope. Never liked Kirby.
Yes but not right now. Too busy with Majora's Mask and the Mario Kart tournament at the moment.
Demo was boring, so….
I bought it and it's pretty much exactly what I expected. I didn't play the demo as I already knew I was buying it.
If you like Super Mario 3D World and the world of Kirby then you'll enjoy this game.
But just be warned there's a whole bunch of typical Kirby caveats here... not least of all it's very, very easy.
Exploration is quite limited too. In many ways this is closer to Yoshi than 3D World - certainly in terms of challenge.
Overall, it's fun if you're a fan of Kirby. I just hope it's a step towards bigger and better things in the future, because if we get something like this again, I don't think I'll buy it.
My pre order got cancelled and I haven't bothered to try again because I'm in the middle of another game so happy to wait. Looks like a fun game though and I was getting tired of the 2D Kirby games.
Playing it right now, it’s really nice. Not spectacular, but nice. The bombastic music is a bit much, imagine Star Trek TNG but with the title theme running throughout the entire show And yeah like everybody suspected - it’s super easy. But I am not bored of the transformations yet, controls are fun too (wish there was a ‚run‘ button, that’s the only complaint). Oh and if you want a bit of a challenge, hitting the time targets in the bonus stages can take a few tries.
I am a little on the fence with this one, the game does look awesome, but with the Lego Star wars game just around the corner, not sure I could devote enough time to it.
Nice problem to have though.
It arrived yesterday for my sons birthday. He won’t let me ‘test’ it for him so we’ll be playing it in a few weeks time.
I've got other expenses to take care of but I'll eventually like to get it.
I will, but not yet. I'm still playing Arceus.
@Schznit you know I speak the truth.
As successful as Switch has been, Nintendo cannot hide the fact there's more than a few development teams that are really struggling with Switch. They're saved by the huge install base getting them a decent ROI still.
HAL is definitely one of them. I'd argue Gamefreak, Camelot and Retro (by their ongoing absence) are also good examples.
They will strike gold one day though... and like I said in my previous comment, this Kirby game feels like a stepping stone (a bit like Legends did for Gamefreak too), but I'm hopeful they'll build on it for next time.
@Anti-Matter You will play Kirby eventually though, yes?
@Gamer83 @Tharsman @Nightcrawler71 @rjejr I got my copy of Kirby yesterday, just finally beat the first main boss Gorimondo!
Really loving the game, I haven't played a Kirby game since the N64 era .
@KidBoruto
Maybe yes.
My hype currently is on hunting other machine games. (PS3, PS4, Wii U, Wii, Gamecube etc)
@KidBoruto I'm 2 levels past that, wanted to get to 50 to see what got built. Enjoying it w/ my wife so far. I think next time we play we'll go back and look for the 1 waddle dee we somehow seem to miss on each world. And that 1 red flower, which we also missed on the demo. 😂
@Anti-Matter I've been meaning to ask, how old are you? I'm 33 and have mild autism (high functioning/aspergers).
@rjejr I just recently beat the tree boss, about to tackle the Amusement Park area.
Hopefully you've gotten further as well!
@KidBoruto No, I stopped after the first level in world 2 after we got to 50 waddles so I could mess around town and redeem all my codes - 2 from the demo, 2 from the news channel. I'm only playing an hour a night to make the $60 game last more than 2 days. I'm up to hour 90 in Elden Ring on PS5 and 50 hours in Tales of Vesperia which I just bought on Switch for $12.50. Gotta make Kirby last.
@rjejr I unfortunately am not that patient haha. I'll probably have Kirby beat by tomorrow night.
@KidBoruto
I'm 37 years old dude.
@KidBoruto Yeah I really probably should have burrowed this one from my library for a weekend. This is why stores give you store credit, b/c I just had to spend that $10 so I bought a $60 game. I'd trade it in but my kid wants to play it over the summer when they get home from college w/ their sibling. They'll probably finish it in 1 sitting 1 night, stay up to 3AM. They finished It Takes Two in about 3 nights and I think that was like a 20 hour game. 😂 Of course I bought that one on sale for $20, no problem w/ that. My wife and I took a couple of weeks, we aren't as good at gaming as our kids.
@rjejr Unfortunately real life got in the way, I'm barely halfway into Forgotten lands and I work the next four days in a row...
Oh well, always next weekend XD.
