Re: UFO 50 Gets A Surprise Shadow Drop On Switch Today

@Suketoudara one of the most on point posts I've seen recently. Yeah Big N are making some seemingly baffling decisions. Maybe it is some weird 4D chess where they want to drive engagement on outrage, but its an interesting strategy when it kind of at times makes them look incompetent. Still, if they make more money they'll be happy...

Re: Nintendo Showcases Every Partner Direct Switch 2 Game In New Infographic

@Yosher That's pretty much where I'm at. The Switch 2 is just gonna be a first party title machine for me.

And even if I'm playing "handheld" I usually do that at home on the couch anyway, where I have the option to Sunshine/Moonlight stream any game from my more powerful gaming PC to any device in the house, whether it be my phone, laptop, HTPC, or my CFW OG Switch, so third party titles have reasonably little use for me, aside from the very rare occasions I might take the Switch 2 out somewhere traveling.

Re: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Gets Proper Physical Release On Switch 2

@Solid_Python you could have probably worded that in a nicer, less flammable way. These days we generally all agree even people are a part of a minority, they still matter and should be respected.

That said, I do agree digital should be cheaper than physical, it kinda just makes sense, and I'd pay a few extra dollars for the proper physical, as long as publishers don't be a-holes and make the difference crazy high for no reason.

Re: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Will "Average" 30fps On Switch

@HalBailman Unfortunately I'm overly sensitive to it so I do notice it. I found it distracting in DK Tropical Freeze for example.

But for sure, docking removes the problem in this case, but if there were still FPS compromises I'd still maybe go the PC version. Have to wait and see on that, I find it hard to believe this game wouldn't run solid 60fps on Switch 2.

Re: "Somewhat Mixed" - Digital Foundry Delivers Its Technical Analysis Of Donkey Kong Bananza

I think in this age of people being extremely sensitive online to any sort of criticism of <insert thing they like>, it's worth remembering constructive criticism is actually a good thing and not something you're supposed to get offended by. DF do the technical thing, it's their schtick, they're gonna hyper analyze all the little technical flaws like blocky shadows. And despite all that though, John still looks at the game in non technical ways and even praises it.

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Director Acknowledges Performance Drops: "We Prioritized Fun And Playability"

I've been playing EoW and haven't found it too bad, and I'm someone that is very sensitive to inconsistent frames and fluctuations. Although I believe as I've come to the game late, I've benefited from it being patched and had performance improvements so it's probably nowhere as bad as it was at launch.

One hopes maybe they'll patch this one too, if it is bad enough.
