Ok, other sets were too much shelf real estate for too much money. This “set” might be a good, but not imposing, addition to my Animal Crossing paraphernalia. Hmmmm.
As a musician and songwriter, I know I have one shot to make a song good. If a person doesn’t like my song, that’s fine. I don’t expect them to listen to it again, telling them I made changes. I am glad the devs did work post release, for future buyers, but I think more work should have happened before the release.
I have been fortunate to visit the store—on a NYC trip I told my family we had to stop there. We did, they were patient, I was out of my mind happy. I don’t think I bought anything—I was so overwhelmed.
Thanks for the story and the pictures. It looks like they did a good job.
I really wanted to get this game. I liked the demo, even though I thought it easy. But the scores and descriptions make me very hesitant to spend all that money. I realize it won’t go on sale soon, or ever, but I am definitely not buying it right now.
Trying to finish Wonder, I have been playing a level here and there since launch. It’s so good I don’t want to finish it, you know? WRC 10, Rocket League, tents and trees and art of glide.
Ok, I already forgot the physical Mario kart game that Nintendo released a couple years ago. I can’t imagine how Lego would improve on that. Simple kart builds would seem—too simple. Remote control? I don’t understand building hype a year away unless it’s something big.
Thank you for the review and pictures. That’s about all I want from this: just to check it out. I can’t see buying this since my display space for gaming stuff is relatively small. But it does look cool.
Fortunately I already have a good amount of animal crossing collectibles. I can’t see fitting this on my shelves. But a K.K. mini fig: that would be a must buy for me.
@Kyloctopus thank you for saying “luck simulator”. My problem with the original was I didn’t feel I was progressing even though I played a lot. I tried the demo, it is good. But in a weird way, this game is too luck based and too addictive for me.
Thank you for the review. As someone who has played many nonogram games, I can appreciate how you mentioned the cursor movement. In these games those little things can add up.
Ok, I had a mild interest in this game. But NL review kept me away. And, after reading the previous article where the dev criticized NL, I was not impressed with the dev’s criticism.
Now, seeing this huge list only makes me wonder why they published it? Yes, it is a big game where many things can go wrong, but then shouldn’t they have spent more time in QA? You could say, Great for fixing this! Or you could ask, Why so many bugs?
Thank you NL for a great website. I wish all the best for you and your families. I hope the new year brings continued success to your work on reporting all things Nintendo.
The fact that I played TotK for 3 months straight while playing no other games is my reason for voting for TotK. Years from now, I believe I will remember 2023 for being the year of Tears of the Kingdom.
@Chibi thank you! I was thinking the same thing. I picked up the game a couple months ago and played the whole campaign and more. Lots of fun! But isn’t it an older game? How is it this high on charts?
@LikelySatan yes, there are at least 2 games. Rush rally Origins is a top down racer, Rush Rally 3 is a behind the windshield racer. Both are good and sometimes have gone on sale.
@Qwiff I am glad to see someone else who likes Rush Rally. For one developer, the game is really good. Heck, it would be a good game if there were a dozen developers. Out of the many racing games I’ve played on switch, it has one of the best controls for driving. Enjoy!
As another steam world fan, this is a must buy. However, just as I waited for quest to go on sale, I might have to wait a while for this. But, I am excited about this!
With a wish list of over 30 titles, I am wondering which of those will go on sale, and how much space I have for all these games. I would get more memory, but I prefer to simply delete or archive. Oh, decisions!
I played it straight, no other games, for 3 months and over 200 hours. It was great and my favorite game of all time. That said: I understand the criticisms that are mentioned here—many of them valid. Despite that, imo the game as a whole rose above its flaws to be a masterpiece.
@gcunit Good point! The past 7 years have been the greatest gaming years of my life. I will keep my switch if only as a reminder of this wonderful era of gaming.
I am slowly playing Wonder. But also finished a tiny sticker tale, a fun diversion. And I just got Wavetale on sale, wow it’s a good looking game with very satisfying character movements. And Rocket League.
One more comment for themes. Last time I opened up my 3ds, a smile came on my face just seeing the theme. And to think that I had my multiple themes set on random…come on Nintendo!
2048 is one of my favorite short games on 3ds. Do I just bought this game because of the cheap price. The review is spot on. It’s fun but short and simple. And yes, after one listen, the music has to be turned off. A nice part is watching the fruit slowly settle and hope for a match.

Thank you for the reminder! Oh, 3DS! I miss you! (But not enough to charge you up to play again). Back to my switch.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (30th March)
Prince of Persia, tents and trees, WRC 10, Art of Glide.
Happy gaming everyone!
Re: Every Game In Nintendo's 'Partner Spotlight' eShop Sale (North America)
Thank you for the article. I am going to pick up Song of Nunu, and play it after Prince of Persia. Both games have the same middle name.
Re: Review: Pepper Grinder (Switch) - A Cracking Platformer That Drills Down & Strikes Gold
@MindfulGamer I couldn’t think of it when I played the demo, but you are exactly right. I love will o the wisps.

Re: Planet Of Lana Brings Off-Earth Odyssey To Switch Next Month
This reminds me of Far: lone sails (and it’s sequel). That is a great game and this game is definitely going on my wish list, if not first day buy.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 9th)
Art of glide is a simple, inexpensive flight sim that gives the feeling of flying a paper airplane. Though bare bones, it is worth the price.
Tents and trees is still on my every day playlist after more than a month. It is a great 10 minute chill puzzler.
WRC 10, Wonder, Rocket League.
Happy gaming everyone!

Re: Talking Point: What DS & 3DS Games Would You Still Like To See On Switch?
Pushmo, Pullmo, Crashmo. I think there were three? Great games that should not be too hard to port.
Re: Reminder: LEGO Animal Crossing Sets Are Out Today, Will You Be Picking One Up?
Fortunately I already have a good amount of animal crossing collectibles. I can’t see fitting this on my shelves. But a K.K. mini fig: that would be a must buy for me.

Re: Hand-Drawn Adventure 'Bo: Path Of The Teal Lotus' Launches On Switch This July
Yes! The artwork draws me in automatically. My only wish is that it is not brutally difficult. It doesn’t appear too difficult. It just looks so good!

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?
Pocket card jockey? Oh no! That game is too addictive.
Re: Talking Point: If 'Switch 2' Isn't Coming Until 2025, What's Nintendo Got Up Its Sleeve This Year?
There is a circle on the bottom right of my 3DS from pocket card jockey, which is why I don’t like that game!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 17th)
Elechead, tents and trees, WRC, Rocket League.
Happy gaming everyone!

@Chibi and yes good port. The graphics on Wreckfest are better than on what I am now playing: WRC.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 9th)
Picked up Unpacking on sale. So far it’s a really cool concept on telling a story. I look forward to seeing how it unfolds.
Also: Rocket League, Wonder, WRC, Travel mosaics.
Happy gaming everyone!

Happy birthday NL! I wish you many more!
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Still Making Them, So What amiibo Do You Still Want To See?
@Advantage a good choice! I don’t think it’s too obscure. Kass’s quest was about as in depth as one of the champions. I would pay good money for it.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Still Making Them, So What amiibo Do You Still Want To See?
Shantae, of course. Also, what’s the name of the guy from Pushmo?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 28th)
I am slowly playing Wonder. But also finished a tiny sticker tale, a fun diversion. And I just got Wavetale on sale, wow it’s a good looking game with very satisfying character movements. And Rocket League.
