I was going to say that part of the reason many games ported to PS5 run like crap is because Sony doesn't play nice when getting ports from Microsoft (Minecraft for PS4 was a years long debacle, and it STILL doesn't run right,) and almost seems to sabotage any crossplay they get (not relevant to this game, just an example of Sony's "does not play well with others" ethos,) but then I remembered this is a Bethesda game and it will never be fixed because they're all built like Rube Goldberg Machines. I'mma' get it.

@Solid_Python honestly every time a company does a Switch 2 code in a box I come around just a little more on gkc.

I only like Nintendo slightly more than I hate patent trolls, so this kind of garbage really is a balancing act for me.

@PKDuckman thank you for this comment, I've been waiting for a sale on 2 for like a year! I've had to delay my 5 year plan to get my wife to play Minecraft with me and it's the final step! (Step one, Chrono Trigger, step 2, DQ 11, Step 3, Diablo 3, step 4 BOTW, step 5, DQ Builders 2. She was a non gamer and now I'm so close!)

@StarCollector oh yeah I know the deal with the switch 1 version, I just know that for a long while there the bedrock version, which is the console version, had done really serious corruption bugs that they didn't address for a really long time. It went on for so long that it got to the point where 99% of the replies on any social media post by the Minecraft team was just "fix bedrock" and other variations of that. I was getting ready to start a new world with a friend of mine and we had to quit.

@StarCollector Have they fixed bedrock yet? I know it was basically unplayable for months, but I stopped paying attention. I figured it must be better now but I still see "fix bedrock" comments all over the place. Either way, I'd also like to enjoy vibrant visuals, please - it's been long enough!

I love 8bitdo please tell me they're going to do GameCube next! While I dislike the form factor of the N64 controller (thus making this version an improvement) I'm not sure I would want them to deviate as much with a GameCube version, but I have gigantic hands so I'd probably still go for it. Really I just want the button layout. I genuinely think it's the best layout we've ever had. C stick has to change though. I love my official Switch 2 version but it doesn't have all the buttons so blech

My mom bought me A Link to the Past at Babbage's two weeks before it was supposed to come out. Back then it wasn't as big of a deal and the guy was like "This isn't supposed to be on display but I'll sell you one wink wink." It wasn't even a holiday or my birthday or anything, she could just tell how desperate I was, to have this highly anticipated game in my hands weeks before the Nintendo Power would arrive detailing strategies on how to defeat the new big bad villain, Aganhim, and his cronies! She would never know how much it meant to me.

@Pillowpants it's bigger than this industry. Workers rights in the US are being decimated so that the "job creators" can get more wealth and power.

@Diowine I definitely think it would be a good idea to have cross saves, it's just weird that it's a negative point on the game when there are sooooooo many games without it. I feel like cross saves are a bonus, not an expected feature, though perhaps it shouldn't be that way.

@Diowine I can't think of a single Switch game with cross save. I'm sure there are at least 2 out there, but it's not something that happens ever as far as I can tell.

@Erigen I like it, but it's not NieRly as good as this game. It's really something special. I was initially turned off by the overly provocative character designs, but I heard one song from Nier: Automata and spent the next week getting my second (and probably final) platinum trophy. It's in my top 5 of all time and is possibly my #1.

@bnutz2k isn't there only like 1 third party controller that does that right now? It's no biggie for me but it is really convenient, especially since the humidity here is so low and the Switch 2 shocks the hell out of me when I touch it while docked. My wife has taken to using my GameCube controller to fire it up lately lol

I really didn't care about this game when it was announced, and I was going to buy a PS5 at the time. Not to mention the fact that I've been a gigantic Capcom fan since the 1980s and I am of the opinion that they still make amazing games 83.666667 percent of the time, but I'm just on the edge of a preorder now and I haven't even touched the demo. I'll get right on it and report the results. Okay I'm probably not reporting any results tbh.

@anoyonmus I don't actually know what peacewalker is, so I think it might be pretty inessential, of course I've never played MGS4 because I skipped the PS3. It works out though, because I can play as old snake now that I'm also old.

@anoyonmus if those are your only options, I'd say Snake Eater. Its a prequel. The MGS games are extremely lore dense and I can't recommend playing the others at all without having played the first 2.
