Re: Best Nintendo Switch 2 Third-Party TV Docks

@Wewewi oh wow that's different. The original problem was that docks using their own power supply provided too much power and overloaded the system. I have an extra Switch 2 power supply so I was going to look into one of the ones that runs on that but I guess there's still reason to be skeptical. TBH I'm sure most are okay but I just don't need one badly enough, however minimal the actual risk. Maybe in a year or two.

I really want one of these but somebody is going to really have to do some convincing to get me to risk third party docks. Judging from the comment section I'm not alone in fearing these docks.
EDIT: Always spell check your posts!

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Update Announced For Switch 2, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

I bought this game at launch just to support full games on cart (and kinda because I wanted a physical Switch 2 game) and I finally started playing it a couple days ago. I do not like fps games, but I'm hooked. I knew going in that it was more of an RPG, but I had no idea it would hook me like this. It's a little crass for my taste sometimes, but as a casual fan of the TTRPG back in the day (never played it, just read about the setting) it's really scratching all the right itches.
Also of note, I'm really getting a kick out of the flashback scenes where people have full cybernetic body parts set in the far future of ...

SPOILERS FOR THE VERY EARLY GAME AND A TABLE TOP RPG UNIVERSE THAT'S NEARLY 40 YEARS OLD....

2023 lol (the setting was established in the 80s/90s and they kept the continuity as a timeline separate from our own, which was the best call for sure, but it's quite comedic for me.) (I love parenthesis.)

Re: Tony Hawk Reiterates Decisions Behind Song Choices In Pro Skater 3 + 4

@The_Nintend_Pedant it's definitely a bit of both. My guess is that they knew it was going to be impossible because of their experience in the area so they didn't really bother and decided to spin it. Clarity isn't a strength of mine, I almost wrote a second paragraph but decided there was already way too much word salad there. Should I have hit send? The answer is usually no.

A lot of commenters here don't seem to have much experience with the lunacy of the music industry. They can't just put the same songs in these games without renewing the rights to each and every single song they put in it. The logistics of getting all this music put back into this game would surely be nightmarish to say the least. Rights have probably changed hands, some bands might be bigger now than when the original came out, some might have become greedier, thinking their songs were more important to the game than they actually are. (More likely, it would be the bands' managers who got greedy.) Some bands might have split up. Just look up Bittersweet Symphony for a look inside the garbage that can happen even if you're really careful. (It's not a perfect analog for this situation, but it provides some insight.)

Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"

@KBuckley27 what are you even going on about? Third party publishers will put anything that can run on the Switch on the Switch! Hell, some companies want their games on Switch so bad they put them on it even if it can't run it! Whether it runs like crap or they have to make a cloud version, everyone wants to get in on the best selling console.

Re: Say Hello To Pauline In Donkey Kong Bananza

@Splash_Woman I'm in your boat. I have always hated DK. I hated when DK Jr was put into Super Mario Kart, that's how far back my hate for DK goes. But the game looks great and Pauline is a part of the new DK canon girl power I'm in
