Here we are once again, safely in the loving embrace of another weekend. This week saw all sorts of censorship shenanigans and even a cheeky new game for the Wii U, but now we can sit down, relax, and enjoy some game time.
As ever, Team Nintendo Life has gathered to discuss our weekend plans and we'd love for you to get involved via the comment and poll sections below. Enjoy!
Liam Doolan, news reporter
This weekend I’ll be trying to stop myself from picking up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch. I’ve already played through the game and both expansions on two other platforms, but the idea of having a portable version of the game that's accessible at all times is starting to win me over. Buying the same game three times is perfectly acceptable, right?
I think I might try and distract myself with Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair instead, after my copy of the game didn’t show up on time last week. I'll also play some Rocket League now that the Halloween celebrations are live.

A round of applause, please – I managed to go an entire week without getting anything in the sale, not even that game that was down to 9 cents on the US eShop. This weekend I mostly plan to be playing Astral Chain, Edith Finch and/or a little Overcooked 2. I went from having bled that game utterly dry to there being a ton of DLC that I haven’t touched. Love that game. Have a good one folks!

This weekend, I’ll be frantically trying to keep up with all of the new releases bombarding my free time - and wallet. Specifically, I’m excited to dig into Little Town Hero, Doraemon Story of Seasons, and I may possibly pick up Ring Fit Adventure, depending on how adventurous I’m feeling.
I also have one instrument left to collect in Zelda: Link’s Awakening - and, of course, that pesky backlog I never seem to get to - so you’ll likely find me on my couch, frantically playing as many games as possible for the duration of the weekend. Send pizza - and Time-Turners... (yes, LEGO Harry Potter is in the backlog, too).

Another birthday came and went and that means that one year ago I was the happiest 'kid' in the world due to the release of one of the biggest flops of 2018 - and yet one of the best video game experiences I had in my entire life: Starlink: Battle For Atlas. I will revisit it along with… you guessed it: Astral Chain and DAEMON X MACHINA in unhealthy doses every chance I get.
Also, they somehow got The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt up and running on the Switch so count me in for some of that, assuming you can pull me away from quick sessions of River City Melee Mach!!. My game of the week is another Steam release where I disciplined myself to wait for the Switch conversion: Override: Mech City Brawl! This is is for all you Pacific Rim fans out there, with a generous dash of Virtual On. Truth: There is no such thing as too many mech games.

The next few weeks were supposed to be dedicated to playing through Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair - I've started it and have been enjoying my time with it so far - but then Fortnite came along and ruined everything. In a good way, I mean.
Yes, the whole Chapter 2, black hole, new map situation got me intrigued and I ended up jumping into a match for the first time in over a year. Now I'm hooked again, and the addition of bots is actually keeping me more interested than before because it's significantly less common to get slaughtered in the opening seconds of a match. Time will tell if I'll be hopelessly stuck logging in every day for a whole season to complete missions and stuff. Oh dear.

This weekend I've a predictably eclectic set of games on my radar. Alongside playing lots of chaotic multiplayer matches in the insectoid arenas of Killer Queen Black, I've been replaying Assassin's Creed III Remastered. Because of course I am. As if I need an excuse to run around shooting people with muskets? Oh, and I'm getting stuck right into the Trine series. Trine 4 looks great but I've not played the series in years so I'm looking forward to giving this co-op platformer a proper play.

Going a bit outside of my element, trying to finish up Doom (1993) for the first time (proving to be quite difficult for me towards the end) and probably then moving onto Resident Evil 2 remake which I had the opportunity to borrow.
Finished AI: The Somnium Files (which was extremely great) so just been playing a bit of Isaac and Slay the Spire while deciding what I feel like playing next. Might try a bit of Megaquarium later but I really should be getting back to Dragon Quest XI soon or I’ll never finish it.
I'll be playing Digimon if it arrives today! With a bit of Yooka Laylee impossible lair thrown in.
Nintendo LABO Toy Cons 03 Drive Kit

I have finished assembling the Submarine this morning. I still haven't configured this game with proper Custom Control from Garage Mode. I will try some settings until I find the suitable one.
And i might consider Portal Knights PS4 after my drawing time on PC.
Skyrim and Valkyria Chronicles 4.
Inside but also downloading hellblade with 3g connection so will take couple of hours but hope worth it.
I will continue to play Overwatch, such a fun and addictive game
Falcom goodness on PS4- got the Japanese version of Ys IX, I don't know Japanese so I have no idea but anyone is saying, but the game play and music are excellent as always. Also knocking out the Trails of Cold Steel 3 demo before the full game releases on Tuesday. On Switch I'm going with Killer Queen Black and Ninja Saviors, hopefully my LRG River City Girls arrives too. Have a good weekend everybody!
Finished off Torna so looking for a new game to start. Went back to Tropical Freeze and made some progress but it can be headache inducing. My copy of Alliance Alive HD arrived so was tempted to start but then realised I never finished Bravely Second on the 3DS so I think I may go “retro” and try and finish that off. Also may continue Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4 even though it’s only partially grabbed me. This iteration of Lara really needs an inhaler.
Mixing it up with Switcher 3 + DQXIS= delicious gaming for an rpg freak like me.
Last weekend was much more about animation for me (and I'm still dizzy from the mane event of it), but I did decide to give Warframe - read: its whimsical relationships with memory cards - one more chance, and I have a couple visits there in mind this weekend, too. Other potential visits include Grid and JCB Pioneer Mars, but I'm mostly considering more Bloodstained and a second - now hopefully much cleaner - playthrough of Bad Dream Coma.
Gonna buy and play Witcher 3 today.
I finally went for Dead Cells during the recent sale, and I am loving it. So addictive. Have hit a difficulty wall, though. I can beat the final boss every time on normal difficulty, yet get nowhere on hard. I will keep trying, though! 😆
I will continue with Dragon Quest XI and maybe a little bit of the new Yooka Laylee. Thinking about starting Alliance Alive HD, but the time of the weekends is short with a 2 year old toddler draining my life!
Will mostly focus on Dragon Quest XI, but couldn't help starting up Witcher 3.
Return of the Obra Dinn and mayyybe A Hat in Time. Both have been a long time coming!
This week I will be mostly playing
Breath of the Wild Korok Hunting
Not sure what else. Maybe DK Country on the GBA, maybe Mario All-Stars on the Wii, maybe Star Fox 2 on the SNES Classic, maybe Sonic Gems Collection on the Wii
The continuing adventures of Dragon Quest XI S. Well into the post game now and I'm clearing up quests (the ones I can be bothered with) and getting myself ready for the end game. I've got loads of pastwords I need to get back to as well, it's ridiculous how much stuff there is to do in this game.
Going to play A Hat in Time. How could you guys leave that one off the list, it just released yesterday.
Guacamelee at the moment. Really enjoying it. Been trying to work through my backlog but couldn't help buying Bastion and Transistor on sale, so actually the list is getting longer!
Daemon X Machina and Xenoblade X.
Working on World of Final Fantasy which I liked at first but it’s starting to wear on me and just finished Resident Evil Revelations 2.
Astral Chain, Mortal Kombat 11 and some old Gameboy games.
Continuing with Dragon Quest XI all weekend!
I started and finished playing through Bloodstained ROTN.
I've always been more hesitant with the IGA-style Castlevania series since, as much as I like them, I still prefer to play the Metroid series whenever I get the urge to play a Metroidvania title.
Still, this game really was a wonderful return-to-form, even if it doesn't do a whole lot to stick out from its inspiration.
been playing Dragon Quest 11 for the last couple of weeks. The story and writing are not something to write home about, not awful (looking at you Octopath traveler), but not Witcher quality either. Love its sense of adventure and the gameplay tho. Plus, it performs incredibly well on the switch. I’m so glad i put down the PC version when I found out there was a switch version coming out. More people should try it out
Finished Link's Awakening a week ago: Great game!
I couldn't decide between Goose and Ori, so I ended up getting both of them. Goose is hilarious, I am playing it slow to enjoy every honk of it.
Ori is a little harder than I expected, but I am making my way through it and it is a very pretty game.
And always a couple matches on Rocket League for fun.
Happy gaming everyone!
Just finished Pokemon: Lets go Pikachu, such a fun game! Cooling down with an indie game "Just Ignore Them" (Cause I have to play something spooky for October) and then probably on to Bastion
My 3ds backlog is finally coming to end!
Will finish this weekend Xenoblade 3D (Sunk 200+ hours into that game), Stella Glow and my third play-through of Zelda LBW.
All I’ve got left is Monster Hunter 4 and Mario & Luigi Paper Jan to finish before I get my Switch for Xmas!
Still trying to 100% hyrule warriors with the kids. Termina down but still a long way to go
Also started the promising Wargroove and unlocked mercenaries on Resi 4
1. Witcher 3 on the Switch of course!!!
2. Working on my game.
@Rpg-lover Switcher and DQXI, same as me. GLORIOUS!
Grip is having a free weekend on Steam, so playing that on PC to try it out. Also, planning to play Asphalt 9 on Switch, and Paladins since there's a Halloween event this weekend, so I'll play that on either Switch or PC (cross-play keeps my progression between both).
Loving Trine 4 on Switch despite blurry visuals and long loading times with just a black screen for company. Also, really getting into Code Vein which seems easier than other Dark Souls clones.
@Gravedigga13 Wait a little bit to really enjoy the story. I'm in the post game already, and I got very surprise with the quality of it (for a DQ, of course, it can't be compared to Witcher).
Really busy weekend but I’ll give mario kart tour some time
Finishing up Astral Chain today and I'm gonna try to get the rest of Gears of War 5 finished. I'll get in some Splatoon2 and Tetris99 I'm sure.
Sega Ages Columns II which i discovered has the original Genesis columns included 👍
Ghostbusters
Sega Ages - Virtua Racing
Dirt 4
Gigantic Army
Horizon Chase Turbo
Turok on switch
Hollow Knight
Outrun
Bloodstained- Ritual of the night
A few Hamster games I grabbed on sale for 4 beans each!
😆
@the_beaver yeah man, I read on steam forums that people consider this to be the best post game content in a game ever
@LutraLoop been there done that! lol but when my son was 2, he was blocking my GameCube time! Now he’s 16 and completely took over my PS4! 😡
@Anti-Matter i really don't understand why stupid people give you thumbs down. ah...because are stupids!
Still putting all my time on Switch with Fire Emblem Three Houses. I might throw in Smash Bros Ultimate and Fight N Rage. Get in a few games on the Sega Genesis Mini and Dead or Alive 6 on PS4.
I just started playing Slay the Spire. It's going to be that and Link's Awakening in between crochet sessions and housework.
Half way through Ori and the blind forest which is amazing but really damn hard.
Going to pick up Witcher 3 next week which I’ve never played before.
Also maybe Yuko-Laylee
@dugan yeah it’s WAY harder than I was expecting. Celeste difficulty at times
I will be playing One Piece Unlimited World Red, and Yoshi's Crafted World this weekend. It is nice to get to enjoy something after such tragic events unfolded.
No A hat in time I played that and I'll be playing ring fit adventure too . Have a great weekend gamers !!
Dark Souls and Ring Fit Adventure.
Kicking my butt digitally and physically.
I’m going on an adventure to get my ring fit. Plus Switcher3. Awesomeness
Finished replaying The Last of Us, so gonna focus on The Witcher 3. I’m playing in French to improve my comprehension— especially in medieval/fantasy conversation
Absolutely HOOKED on Killer Queen Black on PC. Patiently awaiting the physical on Switch. It’s a personal record for fastest double dip.
Rocket League (Switch) - Going to be playing some Halloween events soon.
The Walking Dead (Windows Store) - Starting Episode 1 today.
Zoo Tycoon Friends (Windows Store) - Was having problems getting this to run today.
FIFA 15 Ultimate Team (Windows Phone) - More and more quick games.
I'll be playing digimon story cyber sleuth. I might play dragon quest a bit too, but I want to chip away at digimon first.
I'll be going on a Ring Fit Adventure between rounds of Mutant League Football: Dynasty Edition.
Going to try and wrap up my Maddening Silver Snow run on Fire Emblem. With how slowly I’ve been going through that particular route, I probably won’t be able to. Might crack open Dragon Quest XI as well.
Tetris ‘99, love the themes, wish I could shuffle them though! Some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and looking for those last few Sea Shells 🐚 in Links Awakening. My son has been playing Fortnite again, since the Blackout hype, and Kirby Robobot on his 2DS. Have a great weekend.
Astral Chain for me. Also some Asphalt 9, trying to see how far I can get get without spending any money on the game....
Assassins Creed 3
Ghostbusters
Final Fantasy 7
and those Telltale Batman "games" for me
I’m now about 45 hours in to Dragon Quest XI.
I am loving this game, I don’t really want it to end.
Which is handy, as the game doesn’t seem to want to end either!
Ni No Kuni one of the nicest JRPG or games in general, its gorgeous. started Xenoblade got deep into it, then got astral chain and got way into it, then got Zelda Links awakening and Ni no Kuni, and got way into Zelda, then felt like ni no Kuni and am way into that now.
Also still haven't finished Yoshi one of the nicest games ever, taiko drum, Super Mario maker, Super Mario u deluxe, captain toad, Kirby, ffX-2, FF7, katamari, oddyssy, kart 8, fire emblem warriors, haven't bothered getting online just to play splatoon but do kinda miss it.
Havent yet bought dragon quest xi, and tempted to get demon x Machina, Doraemon Story of Seasons. But there's just so many amazing games coming out constantly and to close together its hard to choose or justify getting more than one or two.
Waiting for Luigis mansion, got 1+2 on 3ds, SOS disaster report 4, the original one of my favourite ps2 games, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Dr. Kawashima Brain Training have all 3 on ds/3ds, Layton’s Mystery Journey, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive, Yokai Watch remaster, and also others.........
And on 3ds rocking Zelda majoras mask, dragon quest viii, luigi mansion 1+2, kingdom hearts dream drop, Super Mario maker, rhythm paradise, Nes remix, disney magical world, Super Mario 3d land, pilot wings resort, Tetris ds, Tetris ultimate, metal gear solid snake eater, RE revelations, Re mercenaries, re deadly silence, brain training 1+2+3, korg ds,learn French 1+2, learn Japanese, flower sun rain.
If only there was an adapter to plug in ds/3DS carts into switch, with touch screens it would work.
Just finished dragon quest XI s.
Going to start with working on my PS4 backlog... Uncharted 4 and Last of us: remastered or Metal gear solid v
More Astral Chain while my XB1 is stuck in a phase of endless loading. Also Halo 5 as it's the only XB1 game that doesn't have endless loading.
@dugan Ori is much harder than I expected as well. I remember getting to the tree, finishing everything and getting to that epic escape sequence- Wow! What a difficulty increase! I’ve died well over 500 times by now.
I was playing through Super Mario Kart and feeling very rusty, having a hard time staying on making turns while staying on the track and getting first place in a lot of races. Unlocked 150cc and then everything clicked again, I guess that was the mode my brain had hardwired itself for because suddenly it all clicked again and I was drifting around those corners like a pro. Still a tad rusty but it was definitely the fun game I remembered again.
I’ve finished the story mode in Ori but discovered that I’m missing Blackroot Burrows and some collectibles- to go back and get them or move on that is the question. I can’t find the switches to unlock a lot of power ups are they deviously hidden?
I had Overwatch and Witcher preordered and still haven’t touched them since I haven’t had a lot of play time getting ready for vacation. I think I’ll wait on Witcher until I get back since I think it’s going to be more demanding.
So I think I’ll try out some Overwatch or play some Rocket League.
Happy gaming everyone!
Yooka laylee and the impossible lair (Switch)
Tomb Raider (Xbox One)
I just got Stardew Valley on the switch last week, into my 2nd year now, be playing this most of weekend and week until Outer worlds and new COD comes out. Might Pick up links awakening aswell.
Slowly chipping away at Dragon Quest XI while taking occasional breaks to play Runner 3. I really want to unlock the playable Charles Martinet.
Mostly some castlevania collection to get in Halloween mood. I never finished Simons quest after playing thru all the others on the collection back when it launched, so I'm slowly chipping away at it. I also started another Draculas Curse playthtrough. I also decided to do another play through of cadence of hyrule since its a short game. Only played for a couple hours and got the first two dungeons down. Lastly, after I finish cadence or one of the castlevania games, I'll fire up yooka 2 after picking it up last night.
FFX HD, about halfway through the story. Despite the awkward voice overs from most of the cast it’s still an amazing game.
I’m playing a very awkward mix of Super Metroid, Ring Fit Adventure, Labo Vehicle Kit, and Mario Kart Tour!
Super Metroid has finally hooked me after all those times I’ve tried and failed to get into it. I think I just recently got the Ice Beam...
Ring Fit Adventure is awesome so far! I didn’t expect it to be such a, y’know, such an actual workout!!
@Anti-Matter Hey, I’m playing that Kit too! 😃 I’ve only built the Car so far, though. I need to start that Submarine...
Mario Kart Tour is perfect in short bursts! If only the monetization weren’t absolute trash...
Everyone have a safe, blessed weekend!!!
Overwatch at home and Mario Kart Tour at work. Instead of complaining I just enjoy these games and earn so much hate. Great to be a life.
Been enjoying playing Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest and Zelda Twilight Princess. Yesterday I learned one of my favorite techniques: Mortal Draw. Soon will enter the Arbiter's Grounds, though I don't know if I'll play Ocarina and left Twilight Princess for the night, or vice versa. Because during afternoon to sunset I'll have some guests which will play other videogames with me. Have a wonderful gaming weekend everyone.
@Diddy64 Loving your profile pic
One thing I enjoy about Twilight Princess is the special moves you get which no other Zelda game has. My personal favourite is the Helm Splitter. Mortal Draw is awesome too.
Overwatch. Also have been wanting to jump back into Skyrim and need to hook up with my Warframe clan.
Finally finished Wind Waker HD and got all hearts, treasures and everything there is to get.
Have been playing my Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Mini. Finished Castle of Illusion and now onto Ecco the Dolphin. Wouldn't consider Ecco a classic because it gets frustrating at times and don't feel I'm always to blame, still a good game though.
RING FIT ADVENTURE and Dragon Quest 11. Gonna get wrecked than gonna chill out with DQ
Finished DQ XI a couple of days ago so now I'm switching between Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair and Ghostbusters Remasters.
A bit of sneaky sneak, in Sniper Elite 3. Some Asphalt 9, and some Super Crate Box. On PC, some Destiny 2, and Sniper Elite 4.
@wazlon thanks 😊 I too like how Twilight Princess has special moves. I also like Helm Splitter because it's like an upgraded version of the jump move from Wind Waker.
I did pick up Witcher 3 and Overwatch, but mostly I'm working through DQ11 still.
I'm gonna make more progress in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but I also bought an N64 this week, as well as 7 games:
Pilotwings 64 (the game I was most excited to revisit!)
Ocarina of Time (complete with blood and controversial music!)
Star Fox 64
1080° Ten Eighty Snowboarding
Star Wars Episode I Racer
LEGO Racers
Asteroids Hyper 64
Aside from Podracer and Zelda, I'm trying to rebuild my old 13-game collection, though I'm prioritizing games that never got a release on VC or any other port, like Mario Party 3, Toy Story 2, or Diddy Kong Racing (DS doesn't count!).
Caved in and got Gleaner Heights. Stardew is my most played game, so I thought a darker farming sim with intrigue would be fun.
Playing Sniper elite 3
Completed ghostbusters great game but 5hrs to complete is a big shame. Will trade this in with sniper (once completed) for dragon quest or luigis man 3
Then that's me done until 2020 as the rest of this years releases have no interest to me.
No. That's not how my weekend is looking. I hate marketing photos like that one for the ring fit. My face never makes that expression and it just looks so fake that I see it for the attempt at manipulation that it is. It reminds me of the awful box for the Turbografx 16 which featured that kid's face, whereas the Genesis box featured the game system which just looked cool.
Anyway, I've been enjoying a lot of King of Fighters '97 and '98 over the last couple of weeks and I expect to continue with that through the weekend. I'm loving those SNK sprites.
1. SteamWorld Quest (swtch)
2. John Wick HEX (PC)
3. MLB THe Show (PS4)
4. Some F1 2019 online (PC)
This weekend, thankfully, is WAY less insane. I have some reading to catch up on but will dip into more sidequests and HOPEFULLY the final stretch of Mega Man Battle Network 2 on my Wii U. I may get a little time to play more Metroid: Samus Returns as well.
And yes, there's some Pokemon Go in the forecast. XD The Halloween event is running, so I need to make progress on some research.
Have a fun, safe, and blessed weekend!
@ViewtifulJotun I just finished guac 2 the other day, it's honestly one of my favorite series, even for an indie series.
Probably:
Almost picked up OVER WATCH and SWITCHER 3. Decided to save my $$$ and hit the backlog. Might actually finish FFXV. Okay, so I did buy HIVE JUMP and REVENGE OF THE BIRD KING. The former was totally worth 99 cents.
@Meison
Still have not finished X. My poor game pad is cropping out and NOA wants $100.00 for 'repairs' basically because they will just send me a new one. This will have to wait. Really wish X was on the Switch. The combat system is very nice.
I’m still crying on the inside after that Ni No Kuni ending. The next on the list is DQXI. I might get that today.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey. 32 Hours in and about 25% through the main quest. So much to do and see in this game. It truly is amazing.
Is it me or does that guy in the image looks like he's about to take a massive dump?
@Vriess such a good game! I played around 50 hrs and finished the campaign but didn’t feel like I scratched the rest of the quests
I finished Link's Awakening earlier in the week (loved it) and I'm not sure what to start next. I've already played Smash, Mario Kart and Let's Go Eevee with the kids this morning, I might start Dragon Quest XI if I get any time to myself later.
Back into Astral Chain. I had stopped because of Zelda's release haha.
The Witcher 3 has got its hooks in me- about 8 hours in but taking my time and trying to do as many of the side quests as possible. I had it in ps4 but never started it as knew it was a big investment and difficult in the family tv. For me personally these are the times the switch comes into its own- I have played all of it in handheld so far, but the option to have an hour on the big screen if it arises is perfect. Also my hori split pad pro arrived the same day as witcher so that has made a big difference, hours and hours in handheld with no sign of discomfort! Perfect for the switch owners with bear paws....
Playing Final Fantasy 4 (on my 3ds). I somehow never played this back in the day and am loving it. About 15 hours in.
Be going after my second Divine Beast in Breath of the Wild tonight; Vah Ruta to be exact. Going after one each month, with Ganon slated for January. Gives me time to relax from my time in Hyrule so I'm all set for Gods & Monsters in February.
I'll also be spending time in Steelport with SR3. It's the only one in the series I haven't played, plus I much prefer Saints Row over GTA. Despite the issues it has on Switch, I'm really enjoying it and I got about 12 hours put into it (got it last weekend).
Hoping to also get some Snipperclips and Super Mario Party in with the wife at some point, probably tomorrow.
I’m slowly making my way through DQXIS. I’ve never completed a DQ game before (despite trying VII and VIII). Hopefully this time will be different.
I also plan to play Zombieland Double Tap: Road Trip. Yes it’s expensive, but I love twin stick shooters and got the physical version so don’t mind paying a bit extra.
Might also play more Grid: Autosport!
@Meison eXciting
Doom 2016 (on Mission 9), River City Girls, Ori and the Blind Forest, Jeidi Outreach, Ghotsbusters, Super Metroid on Super NES Online... I haven't even gotten to Astral Chain, Link's Awakening, Dragon's Quest, Witcher 3. So. Many. Games!!!!
If people want to play Overwatch, let them. I think Activision/Blizzard has a ton of issues, the Hong Kong thing one of the major ones (also all the micro transactions in other games), but in the end, we're gamers, not political activists.
The Witcher 3
I didn't see the option for Zelda until I voted for nothing!
I might give that a go at some point, also I am keen to use the SNES controller I received in the week for SNES online!
Dragon Quest XI S.
I mostly only play horror games during the month of October . so rather than the weekend this is what I've been playing the whole month.
Right now I'm replaying/playing:
For the Switch:
Resident Evil 1
Resident Evil 4
Detention (First time playing)
Layers of Fear
Outlast Bundle of Fear
Outlast 2 (First time playing the sequel)
Observer (If I get to it)
Amnesia Collection
Luigi's Mansion 3 (When it arrives)
PC:
Silent Hill 2
I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream
Visage (First time playing, some decent jump scares)
Harvester (Though it's horror, It's also hilarious and bizarre)
Sanitarium
I'm replaying most of them, but I save most horror games for October. Getting and playing Luigi's Mansion 3 on Halloween.
Finishing Doom 3 on my Switch, and also on Switch some Lego Worlds. On my Ps4 playing through Days Gone.
@NintendoByNature I've heard Guac 2 is even better than the first one, but I'll try not to set my expectations too high. Really love the style and humour, and the gameplay of Guac 1 has been topnotch too, so it's hard to see how they can improve.
I have been playing Castle Crashers pretty much all week. I am looking into trying to find a good Halloween game that isn't RE. Not a fan of the series. Any ideas? Also I am playing thru Links Awakening on hero mode. And as always Dark Souls PvP.
I've been pretty burnt out on gaming lately. I beat Link's Awakening a few weeks ago, and I decided to pick up Dragon Quest XI S, and I got about ten hours into it before I stopped (I platinumed the game on the PS4). I then bought The Witcher 3 because I was in the mood to do some awesome quests the game gives, but I couldn't even get past the tutorial before getting bored (the game is great, but I've beaten the game multiple times on the PS4). So, just to see if anything would grab my attention, I popped in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night on my Switch and it hooked me. Sure, the game has problems, but it's not as dramatic as many people made it out to be. It's a great game, and I'm looking forward to playing it after I get off work tonight.
@Bucket Played and completed DQ7. It is a bit of a grind and it does require a kind of ‘clear the decks’ approach in order to complete it.
I know it’s hard with all the great games available but if you dedicate yourself to DQ7 for a week or so, you’ll get really immersed in the game and will want to complete it. But it is a 100 hour game.
@ViewtifulJotun I liked guac 2 even more to be honest. And i didn't think that was possible. My only gripe about 2 is that I didn't unlock as many outfits as i did in 1.
I finished the RE5 and 6 demos-- I'll hope for physical or a hard sale, but I'm bout sick of how Capcom is doing this whole "get the first game physical, download the sequels!" or, "Download everything if you want!"... I'm good. Sampled Asphalt 9, and it's cool, just not my thang. A friend told me to give Katamari Damacy Reroll demo a shot-- It's quirky cool, glad I tried it, but I won't be playing that anytime soon. On to the full games I have available to play. Trials of Mana from Collection of Mana will continue as I'm halfway through it, can't wait to change classes. I'm in no rush to beat Ghostbusters: The Videogame Remastered as I've beaten the Wii version in the past and am just enjoying the re-ride slowly in its intended glory. Starlink might get a pinch more love-- Minus Rana & co., it's the closest to the epic Starfox I've always wanted, so I'll savour it. Super Mario Maker 2 story mode "might" get a pinch more love, but I'm in no rush for that one either.
@charlieonholiday thanks, I’ll bear that in mind. I have the 3DS version still, so will take a look at some point when there’s nothing I particularly want to play straight away.
Ring Fit Adventure, Dragon Quest XI-S, Smash.
Borrowing Skyrim from a friend! Extremely fun. Great gameplay really is timeless. I'm definitely going to buy it myself to play it on my own time.
Ni no Kuni. Amazing game, but a bit too long. I am not used to such long games and therefore I feel burned out.
After the game, think I'll take a break from gaming and spend more time reading and socialising with real people.
Flashback (Switch) - Bought it on sale for $6. Beat the game in my childhood, so it has special memories.
Batman: Arkham Origins (PC) - slowly working through the 4 games. All really good. Got the 4th one recently on the Epic Store free deal.
Rocket League
Back on xenoblade chronicles 2 for me. Occasionall i get a bit fed up of all of the systems going on in the game but in general I'm loving it. Little bit of Into The Breach too.
@Whalehome
I'm up to 40 hours now and I did a major side quest that took me almost 2 hours complete. Also killed a Kosmos cultist, a mythical beast and a couple of mercs that were on my tail. Awesome It took me 200 hours to finish Origins with all DLC. I'm gonna easily reach 300 hours with Odyssey + DLC.
Overwatch duh
@WhiteTrashGuy I also want X on the Switch !!!! And an X2 in the future. Yes!!!!!
