People going on about how they’ll not buy the game because they have been left so disappointed by X or Y but everyone knows you’ll end up grabbing it anyway, play it, like it and move on to the next silly reason to moan.

The numbers don’t lie - for all of the anger of a vocal minority, and the people producing clickbait articles to get them worked up in the first place, it’s becoming clear that the use of AI is a non-issue for most people.

@Dr_Awkward The irony here is that all of this difficulty mode begging keeps the game in the hobby site news sections far longer than would normally be the case so all they are achieving is giving the game, the one they swear they will never play, more exposure 😆

@LightSpirit I don’t think the complaints are as legitimate as you think. We criticise companies for not letting their creatives make the games they want and targeting the mass market with cookie cutter games but when a company does make the game they want they are criticised for it and for not making it more appealing to the masses?

If people had invested as much time into playing the game as they do moaning about it being to hard they would have mastered it by now.

I’ll stick to Mario Kart World - now there is a good kart racing game.

Looks pretty good to be fair and a lot higher quality than a lot of the fan art you see these days.

Indie games have generally been going up in price and down in quality for years so i welcome what Team Cherry are doing and hope it will encourage smaller developers to start putting in greater effort and justifying the prices they set.

I won’t be supporting them - they are grown men and women who are entirely capable of finding work like anyone else. I would suggest Nintendo Life, a site that has seen a massive drop in the quality of its own writing in recent years and is now no better than the likes of ScreenRant, undertakes its own realignment.

Completely unnecessary comparison to make.

Considering how many people are supposedly taking a stand over game pricing I imagine there will be ample stock available on release day 😉

I think something that is being forgotten is that Nintendo take a lot of chances on games that other companies wouldn’t go near due to the potentially low margins and games like Mario Kart probably subsidise those games that don’t find a mainstream audience. Ring Fit was not a certain thing in the lead up to release, that could have been an easy loss likewise things like Labo. If this extra on top means we continue to see Nintendo taking changes on their left field games then I’m all for it.

@Poco_Lypso you should jump on that - PS5 is a great system, won’t be as good as the S2 mind, but definitely worth picking up.

@Specters absolutely - I was a big fan and thought it was nice they could carry on working together after the end of Nintendo Minute but, as the years have gone by, their vibe has changed completely and the knowledge they have has become a lot less relevant.

@sixrings Come on now, I was a big WiiU fan but even I can admit that it was not the glory days in terms of discounts or first party games 😆 the reason this site had good vibes was because the writing wasn’t constant doom and gloom, and the average user was a lot more tolerable!

I started coming to this site in the WiiU era and I always enjoyed the positivity and reviews but now it just seems to be low effort rage bait slop day after day and entitled brats in the comments.

@WilloftheFans I have yet to see any fair criticism, however, I have seen plenty of emotive ‘poor Timmy won’t be getting anymore Nintendo now’ statements. It’s not Nintendo’s fault Timmy’s parents are wasters.

@axelhander because having a tantrum over an extra £10 or £20 a game is the sort of behaviour I’d expect from a spoiled child.

The more I hear about the S2, the more wildly excited I am becoming. The coming weeks can’t go fast enough.
