Nice to see hardware sales increasing as stock availability increases. Hopefully Nintendo have the situation under control again now and customers can continue to find consoles at a reasonable price and don't have to resort to scalpers.

@Zuljaras have to agree with you on this. I come to sites like this looking for gaming news and not to be preached to on trans issues etc if I wanted to hear all of that I would read about it on a site that is aimed at raising awareness of such issues. Fair play to NL for focusing on the game and not the controversy.

Maybe Pokemon 'fans' need to move on if this is the kind of thing that grinds their gears so much.

Looking forward to picking this up. While the price might not seem fair to everyone I am more than happy to pay it, after all, what is an extra £20 to play a game I want to play on the console I want to play it?? There was the same over reaction with the Residemt Evil games and I still see them selling well so it seems the majority outside of this site would agree.

Attention seeking developers like this are a waste of time. Make a bad game, call it 'art' and then spend the next five years living of the attention. I am not surprised to see some within the NL community (the usual basement dwellers) standing up for it saying 'all games have a right to exist' because... ARRRRRT'.

@Corum I think Nintendo have another theme or two ready to go but are saving it either for a quiet time when they need to fill a release gap or will release it to mark the one year anniversary.

Considering how far in to the Switchs lifespan it was when they brought in new UI developers etc it would make sense that it would be around now we would see some sort of major update. I still think it will be later in the year though.

Curious to see if anyone else is looking at the comments section of an 11 year old review for a game no one really cares about.

This weekend I will be playing Tales of Vesperia, Ever Oasis and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Platinum seem to be growing increasingly arrogant. There has always been a degree of that to everything they do but they always seemed like cool guys with a bit of confidence rather than the arrogant d@#$% we are seeing in 2020. Fortunately Nintendo dont need Platinum as there is no shortage of talented developers working on the Switch these days.

I'd be okay with small individual furniture sets being 99p DLC packs especially if we see them arriving as a trickle over the next year. Seems a better approach than expensive packs that would see you having to pay bigger money to have access to the few items you might want. Fingers crossed this entry does well.

Always good to see new Ages games but I think what we all really want to see is Sega bringing more Arcade and lesser known titles to the eshop. Virtua Racing was a great start fingers crossed for Sega Rally and Daytona next.

I need those Labo Joy Cons but i doubt we will ever see a release.

@Adzri it's a bit of light hearted fun for an audience who for the most part probably wouldn't know the difference so dont see the need for proper pixel artists.

End of an era and sadly time to move on. It had a good run and has given a lot of people a lot of good memories but perhaps it's now time to focus on the future.

I'd be interested in seeing there next project regardless of not enjoying either of there releases so far. They seem like a cool company.

The fact that an arse worked for a gaming company does not make it it gaming news in the same way that 'teen gunman owns CoD' does not make a shooting gaming news. This is just blindly jumping on the bandwagon that sites like Kotaku have created with the aim of attracting the angry liberals.

Try as might I just cant bring myself to care. Wish this site, and many more, would stick to reporting gaming news and leave this to Twitter etc. Its starting to feel like a cheap tabloid here at times.

I have always been a strong supporter of NL in the past 5 years but the coverage of Sword and Shield has been dire. Multiple click bait articles daily aimed to fire up the same arguments again and again. A real shame to see this site falling so far but at this point I would just like to see Alex Olney go independent.
