I happen to like the new versions, would much rather play these remasters than the originals. As for the android ports I don't know everyone was complaining they were to close to the originals visually and controlled bad so Rockstar make changes and tweak things and now everyone says they would have been happy with straight ports of the originals no wonder developers can't please 'fans' they change what they want every two minutes.
I like to think this is the secret brother of Doug Bowser and both have taken different sides in some sort of life long Nintendo themed struggle. Who knows if they will ever reconcile.
@Ralizah I mean personally Legends hasn't appealed to me since it was revealed but I am loving the upcoming remakes, not everything in Sword was perfect but I still had a great time and even Let's Go Pikachu was fun in its own way and let's not forget that Pokemon Snap made a return. Regardless, TPC may not get everything right but there is still millions of fans who are finding so much enjoyment in the series and to expect a company to disregard that to pursue the interests of a small subset of fans I think is the very pinnacle of entitlement. At the end of the day I think the sales reflect that they are doing just fine without the neckbeards input.
@Ralizah it's very hard to take them seriously, especially when they claim to be fans of the series but have spent almost a decade complaining about every entry, constantly talking about how they want the company to collapse, and making amateurish attempts at 'making them pay' all because they The Pokemon Company will not put the wishes of a few thousand entitled 'fans' over the millions of happy ones who are buying and loving everything they are doing right now.
@Pokester99 it's going to take more than one gaming flopping to sink a company worth billions haha besides I think they know what there doing even if some of the 'fans' think they know better.
I bought both fighter passes. The only fighter I didn't want was Joker but didn't have much choice. Would happily remove him and his stage from my game if I could.
I think there is a distinct difference between handhelds and consoles, both have very distinct design philosophies and different assumptions and needs from their users. The Game and Watch is a toy.
The moment I hear rogue like elements I am put off a game no matter how promising it looks. 'Rogue like elements' are becoming the new Metroidvania in terms of over saturation.
I'm down for the occasional visual novel so long as they throw in some puzzle solving or something fairly frequently to break up the monotony of reading. I enjoyed both the Parascientific games on 3DS and the Famicom Detective Club games recently.
How long till the 'pros' start complaining the prize pot isn't a gajillion pounds. There will probably be a 'we promote your game for free Nintendo we deserve to be rewarded' I'm sure.
The WiiU is still set up and used in my household and will always have a special place in my memories. Years from now people will look back on it with the same fondness the likes of the Dreamcast has. I will buy this the way I buy any WiiU release to show my support to the developers who are keeping the memory of the system alive.
Of all the publishers I would expect Nintendo to partner with Forever is almost the very last. Then again it would make a nice rags to riches story further down the line if they actually pulled this off and went from shovelware developer to respected company a la Ubisoft.
@NinChocolate when I first played it back in the day it felt like a big step forward, graphics and music are awesome as well as being a fun isometric platformer. I think playing it now it holds up better than Sonic Adventure.
@OldMcGroin from what I have seen it seems like a widespread issue but also one that seems resolvable for some but not others. I am sure Nintendo are working on a new patch but it really highlights the vulnerability that comes from owning digital media.
@OldMcGroin thank you Mr Groin. I tried this very approach a number of times over the last week and still no luck. I also tried different APs. I don't believe it is a connection issue as I can still access the eshop and news pages (and both are up to date) and the connection test is successful every time I do it.
@drewber2635 i do enjoy a good JRPG it's true but even the involvement of some Square veterans can't ignite any excitement in me for this one. Square Enix have been putting out some great titles on Switch over the last few years, to me this doesn't come close to those titles. Regardless I hope you enjoy it when it releases.
@Ralek85 that's it definitely a Mini Direct level of reveal I would say, it might end up being decent but if I saw nothing but this trailer than I wouldn't have any interest in picking it up that's for sure.
Don't want to sound disrespectful towards the developers and their work but this was one of the most easily forgettable looking titles in the whole show and I struggle to imagine why it was featured in as prominent position as it was.
@divinenanny @Zach1122 @Sidon_ZoraPrince thanks for the suggestions, I have tried these all multiple times over the last few days but still no luck. I must have spent a solid hour yesterday alone clicking through the message. Fingers crossed it gets sorted soon and that I can download the patch!!
Would love to be able to just buy and then play some of these but Nintendos bungling of the last patch means I still can't download or update anything at all and with no information coming from regarding a fix I don't know when I will be able to again.
Ultimately the real 'winner' of E3 is the company whos fans walked away the happiest, you can claim its yourself as much as you like and have big sites reassure you of that but ultimately it doesnt matter unless its actually true. For what its worth i have seen a ton more happy Nintedo fans these last few days than i have Xbox regardless of what select media partners have to say.
Sounds fair to me. If people want to watch the show they can watch it through the official stream. I think a lot of these 'influencers' see themselves as being a lot more important than they actually are but I am sure there simps here will be more than happy to correct us on that.
I think Miitopia is great. Myself, my wife and two children have really enjoyed sitting down to play it together. Fingers crossed we see more games like this alongside the usual Zelda's, Mario's etc we also enjoy.
To anyone thinking 'man if they had this when I was in school I could have been a pro...' don't kid yourselves, you were average back then and you are average now.
It feels like every game, regardless of quality, is getting one of these limited releases now which kind of kills the buzz in them for me. Can't help but think the whole limited run model is heading for its own crash in the near future which is a shame as some games really should be available physically.
@AmplifyMJ I have been having an issue with my cards on on eshop for months now, asks me to contact my bank who tell me its all fine and it does work elsewhere with no issue. From what I can gather it is something behind the scenes with Nintendo and anti fraud/data security measures. Play Asia sell eshop cards and deliver instantly over email should you not be able to sort it out.
@kikoretzu I had always assumed the satellaview entry was the remake and didn't realise that was a separate SFC game. Yes would be good to see it remade, hopefully enough of it was preserved to make that possible, but even a brand new entry would be great as well. Come on Nintendo don't let this be a one time thing!!
I like to think there is someone out there right now who's interest in Sonic and Danimals are finally overlapping and he is absolutely losing his mind with excitement over this announcement.
I said it before release and I'll say it again now. This is a cool concept but not one the majority of people are going to actually spend money on. Great ideas are not always commercially viable ideas.
@DrDaisy I mean i don't have an issue with Sega news or any retro news for that matter or even a Nintendo fans perspective on the wider industry but that title, like some others recently, feels so painfully misleading and is the kind of thing I would expect from an attention seeking YouTuber and not a well known Nintendo site.
I have been excited for these since the announcement, fingers crossed a physical release is announced shortly as I would not want to have to double dip.

Replayability plays a role as well. Is a two hour long game that can be replayed a dozen times and still be fun a two hour or twenty four hour game??
