The DS era was so good it set a very high bar, however ZA is such a fun game and proof that GF are still trying new things. Im not really onboard the negative narrative set out by NL and other fans on pokemon recently. I actually tried to cancel my preorder after reading the ZA review here but was too late...so glad now as i definitely prefer the game to Arceus!

Im baffled a free massive update like this could be seen as a negative thing. These updates a great way to breath new life into old games. Im sure it doesnt mean we will never get another sequel so surely its a pure positive!

Some pokemon fans really crank me up having given up on the game so quickly. Saying the visuals look bad...they look identical to every other recent pokemon game, and we knew so little before people have written it off. This happened back in the day with weak criticisms about pokemon black/white etc...arceus was a great game and this is the sequel...not really sure why peeps aren't even giving this game a chance...looks pretty cool to me excited to pick up a copy!

So many sites calling this a masterpiece 10/10 ...has nintendo life lost its love for nintendo?? Doesnt this website exist to give games like this ten out of ten!!? Kidding but i always used to love NL's reliability in awarding full marks to the big 1st party games like this in the past.

Sorry but this list is really bad. Mario Kart World is number one..dont get why this site is so anti MKW! Also bravely default is such a great game and deserves to be higher (shame the key card thing blemished the release)

Wow you guys are really not loving mario kart world then! Sorry but theres no way mario kart wii is better than world!!! Double dash, ds and world are my top 3 with 8 deluxe in 4th..as those 3 have the most character (deluxe is more of a best of type game to me so a tad less interesting).

This game is incredible! Definitely the biggest step forward for ninty since breath of the wild and also an amazing showcase for switch 2. It looks and sounds so amazingly good and the open world is very cool. Honestly if this doesnt get a 10 nintendolife is losing the love of gaming, come on guys do the right thing!

As others have said Cubone is easily the spookiest!

Useful and really well written review thanks. Read more like a 7/10 review to me, will pass for now at least. Maybe if it's in a sale in the future I might pick it up though as I do love the art style.

Nintendo have really shown the love to this this game, its easily the best in the series. This and smash ultimate couple to make the switch stand out as a true ninty console, one of the greatest.

The film is definitely bad but there's no way the CGI is terrible, it looks great! Felt like the longest ever opening cut scene of a video game with no way to press Start to skip it!

Totally agree with this review. The film set itself up nicely then went absolutely nowhere.

Mina, Loop8 and Born of Bread all look great!

Tip three for me would be 1. Ocarina, 2. Wind Waker, 3. Breath of the Wild. After that not sure, one of the 2d ones, maybe link to the past. Ocarina and wind waker are the most magical and have the best ideas in them. Breath of the wild in 3rd for its incredible art style despite fewer great gaming ideas and fewer memorable characters. MM was amazing but a bit gimmicky, twilight princess was really good - a lot better than skyward sword which fell flat.

I definitely want to pick up a game in the Atlas sale but cant decide between soul hacker and etrian odyssey 4 :/

Definitely has that Awakening vibe and im actually finding the story quite fun unlike some commenters here. The strategy side is the best part of the game and very slick. That gets you way more invested in it all...overall maybe my fave FE since Awakening!

Honestly love this game, so much to like. For me the 2 biggest things id like to see are a better frame rate and improving the map functionality.

Definitely convinced this is going to be a great game, can't wait!

Honestly, this game is superrr fun and the mini games are class...graphics look amazing and a real laugh playing online...if you're hesitating my advice is take the plunge!!
