At last week's Nintendo Direct, a new Fire Emblem game was revealed. Fire Emblem Engage had been rumoured for some time and will now be arriving on the Switch early next year on 20th January 2023.

If you're planning on picking up a digital copy of this game, it seems Nintendo's official website has now provided an idea of the new entry's size. According to the listing, the digital version will require around 15 GB of free space on your Switch. Keep in mind, that this is subject to change between now and release.

In comparison, the previous mainline release Fire Emblem: Three Houses took up about 11.6 GB of space. And the more recent spin-off Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes had a file size of 13.4 GB.

Engage will see the return of characters like Marth & Celica alongside some new characters, including the new protagonist Alear - featuring red and blue hair. These heroes will come together in a new turn-based tactical combat adventure to face off against "a great evil" and bring peace back to the Continent of Elyos.

If you are picking up a physical copy of the game, pre-orders for the Divine Edition - featuring a steelbook and art book are now available:
