Why is Nintendo not showing Pokemon at E3???????????????

Yes the 3DS looks set for a great 2016, much better than last year. Almost makes up for the Wii U drought. Really looking forward to pokemon and DQ games the most!

I wholeheartedly agree with this article, especially the bit about the wiimote being remembered as a classic controller in the future... great work.

The wii u had some great games but the console itself felt out of date as soon as it came out..the gamepad is very clunky and the machine is underpowered..asymmetrical gaming is pretty limited in scope and the wii u didnt seem to have the juice to utilise what potential it had. Without this the wi u had no unique selling point apart from standard exclusives.

This playstation virtual reality thing is going to be huge i reckon...people are fascinated by the idea of virtual reality gaming and this is the best option to do it. NX needs to be announced now if it's going to compete with the hype this year, otherwise it'll struggle to catch up.

I have highest hopes for Star Fox. I hope the delay has given Nintendo a chance to really nail an exciting and engaging original game!! And Fire Emblem for 3DS is gonna be sweeeet.

I had a dream I had an NX last night..it was a virtual reality based console, with quite a few games. The most interesting was like an open world game set in Mushroom Kingdom, where I was trying to work through a grass maze and avoid wigglers. The other games were ports of Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros Wii U, and Splatoon 2. The VR headset looked pretty standard, when you switched it on the nintendo logo game up in silver and sprung up around you, it looked great!! Hopefully my dream will come true!!

Well let's hope it's a lot better than last year...two great games for Wii U and sod all for the 3DS. How anyone voted it a great year for Nintendo is beyond me....my faith in Nintendo is running low these days.

It seems two high quality and original games can work wonders for stabilising sales. Not great obviously, but respectable at least.

Best Wii U game by a long way, and I love Smash and Mario Kart. Essential purchase. Best game I've played in years, to be honest.

Yea why spoil the fun of unlocking things gradually, I'm quite proud of the levels I made on day one with limited assets.

@Kirk Journey is brilliant but very short, and not really a 3D platformer is it...bit of an odd comparison imo.

I don't understand why miyamoto feels he has to choose between 2d and 3d mario games...they are totally different franchises with different teams working on them. So what the 2D games sell better but the 3D ones sell great as well, and really improve nintendo's reputation as a innovative company. They find resource to make pikmin bloody 4 but not the game everyone wants....so incredibly frustrating!!!!!!!!

Gotta be New Super Mario Bros 2. Collecting all those coins was so much fun.

I've never played any of these Pokemon dungeon games...how do they compare to the main series?

Any news of new game releases is welcome. I'm sure it'll be a laugh. Even if it doesn't look like the world's great fighting game, it is good to know there's still stuff happening for Wii U next year.

The actual presentation itself with the puppets was amazing, it was only the lack of announcements that was the disappointment....if they'd done exactly the same thing with better games we all would have been over the moon.
