@Anti-Matter AC:NH is a great game (it's the second-best selling Switch game for a reason) so there's no reason to talk it up as something it's not.
If you really think it belongs in the conversation for best-looking Switch game, ever, it suggests that you're not familiar with the more visually dynamic games in the Switch catalogue. Which is fine — it's not our job to play games from multiple genres — but it also means your views on this topic aren't the most informed.

Would be interesting if Marco instead pursued a series of trade alliances that made it economically prohibitive for the Rebel Army to continue operations. But I suppose that would be a different kind of game altogether.

My appreciation of Tetris is based on how it provided affirmation that I can improve at video games even in middle age, after playing Tetris 99 daily for over a year to get the achievement of 999 tickets.

Super Mega Baseball has enabled female players in its game since its first iteration almost ten years ago, so The Show finally getting on that train doesn't impress me.
On the Switch, I prefer SMB 3 over SMB 4 by a little, but either are really fun to play, with the player expressions conveying emotions quite capably. In comparison, the screenshots here look rather sterile.

Moreover, on the general state of streaming, remember how when Netflix came onto the scene and people were falling over themselves proclaiming how streaming is the future and how it was going to make watching your favorite movies and shows easier? Well, the future (in this context) turned out to be kind of lousy, which leads one to wonder what the hell was the point.

@EllaTheQueen6 Is online gaming with your brother an option? That's something I started doing with my brother (e.g., Rocket League, Mario Kart) who lives over 1,000 miles away, during the height of the pandemic, and we still do that regularly. It's not as good as gaming in person, but as with many things, it's better than nothing.

@Not_Soos As one who aspires to be a fun uncle myself, I support your accomplishments. It's remarkable that haters felt the need on this day, out of all the days in the year, to be inconsequentially critical of someone they don't know doing something that doesn't appreciably affect them, but that says more about them than it does about you.

Does DF have a Worst Graphics "award"? Seems like the Switch would be amply represented if they do (e.g., Arkham Knight, ScarVi DLC).

No mention of Scarlet/Violet's post-game of the base game? Its poignancy elevated the storyline, especially with its connection to Arven's backstory and why Koraidon/Miraidon was so weak at the beginning of the game.
It was as good as Sword/Shield's post-game of the base game was bad. And THAT, in turn, was worse than Sword/Shield's Darkest Day nonsense in the base game; that's how bad it was.

Having seen how some marriages turn out, a boring one isn't necessarily bad in and of itself.

@Windy @samuelvictor It is absolutely wild to me that you need more than two hands to count the number of golf games on the Switch, yet there are no decent ice hockey games that we can play on the same console. Considering how it's almost like a video game sport already, it seems inexplicable that no notable developers have taken a crack at bringing hockey to the Switch.

@Princess_Lilly Maybe it just seems that way because almost no one would have heard of bad games with bad marketing, on account of them, well, being bad AND having bad marketing.

Also, I would be interested in a rhythm American football game. Anything to break EA's stranglehold on that segment of the market.

C'mon, they easily have enough material from 25 seasons to fill out at least the full version of the 1st theme song.
